John F. Kennedy High School

The LOP program at this school is absolutely unnecessary and detrimental to the students. This is a negative program. If you want student to succeed… don’t put in a program that will make them fail. The program seems to give the Teacher’s carte blanche at taking priviledges away from students. This is a level 2 school that is Weak in every area including Student Growth, Engaging and Challenging Students, and Teacher’s that work together. The Principal at this school needs to take a hard look at what he is creating. He needs to be concern with all students, not just the select few.

The two reviews on here that are 4 star must be from some type of administrative staff. My son who is a junior has never had any problems at this school, but my daughter last year was harassed a few times by students. I won’t go into detail but I had to get the Dean involved. It’s been better this year for her. I’ve been at this school twice when there was incidents that have happened. One girls were fighting in the hall and the other a student was stabbed in the hand by another student just outside the building. Academically I know the school students are doing well. And they help the students move forward for after they graduate. I also know that at any school there is going to be incidents like these that go on but kids should feel safe among others including other students, teachers, and security.

This school is astonishing. Hearin all these stories of it bein ghetto got me worried, although I was somewhat believing it, there are some kids who do like to smoke squares and stuff like that. Other than that, amazing principal, system, teachers, etc.

The school is absolutely perfect. I am so happy to know that the principle is so open to new ideas and also helps u in many ways. Although the school can be in ways a little messy the academics are perfect? With the new I. B the international baccalaureate program gives children who need more than just regular classes a time to take classes to better ten for college. It is a strict program but anyone can do it if you put time and sweat into it. Send your kid or kids to Kennedy you won’t regret it.

The principal here does not look out for his students, especially the girl soccer team.
