Kenny currently resides in Chicago with his lovely bride, Meena, an accomplished cellist herself who loves to accompany him on his photo adventures around the world.

We are so thankful that Kenny was able to photograph our wedding. Kenny is very humble and has a true eye for capturing special moments. We were lucky enough to do our engagement shoot with Kenny in Napa. At first, I was hesitant about doing an engagement shoot, but I am so glad we decided to do it. It made Chris and I feel more comfortable in front of the camera for our wedding day, and it was great to get to know Kenny better also. If you have already booked Kenny for your wedding, and plan on taking a trip before your wedding, I would definitely inquire with Kenny on pricing to fly him out for your engagement shoot. We are so glad we have different scenery for our engagement and wedding photos.
Kenny met with me before our wedding to discuss all of the details for our wedding day to make sure he didn’t miss anything. On our wedding day, he arrived early, and began by introducing himself to everyone in my bridal party. Each one of them commented on how impressive it was that he made the effort to personally meet everyone and remember their names. He kept us on schedule for photos around the city, and captured some beautiful moments. We never felt uncomfortable. When we got back to the hotel for family photos, he remembered each family member’s name. This helped in expediting pictures because he could easily say «Sara, move slightly to your left», and everyone knew who he was talking to.
During the ceremony and reception, we didn’t even know he was there. He was never intrusive. Kenny and his team were very hard working, passionate and professional. We had several guests and family members comment on how wonderful he was to work with. The very next day, we received some sneak peek photos. Needless to say, this made us very excited to see the rest of the photos. He truly captured the story of our wedding day.
I would recommend Kenny to anyone. We feel very fortunate that we were able to work with him on our special day.

I was at a wedding back in November 2013 for a good friend. After her wedding, I was scrolling through her pictures and had to stop at each one and admire its beauty and creativity. Immediately, she told me that I needed to work with Kenny Kim. Fast forward to May 2015.
From the moment I met Kenny, his energy was contagious. He was excited to meet us, to be with us in that moment, and to give back to love. His commitment to his work is amazing to behold and to see him in action was to see a person truly living their passion and purpose. Kenny has a beautiful gift in which he’s able to capture the heart of a moment in its most raw and vulnerable form. I’m delighted that such an incredible talent was able to capture our day.

Kenny Kim is hands down one of the best wedding vendor decisions that we made for our wedding. He is responsive, professional, talented, and is a genuine, nice guy. The photos he took for our engagement and wedding were incredible. He made us feel comfortable and at ease during the entire experience. He stays calm under pressure and at the same time can make spontaneous decisions. He can handle all kinds of situations — weather, crowds and changing light. In the end you will always get incredible photos that will be timeless. He is respectful of cultures and family dynamics and also can capture romance and emotional moments without being too cheezy. We are especially stunned by how good we look in the photos — which is what you always want from a great photographer. We can’t wait to work with Kenny again for future family portrait sessions.

As the other reviewers have described… if you could give Kenny 15 stars we would! He did our wedding this past weekend and the memories will be lasting because of him.
Not only does he take the most incredible photographs going to all extremes, he is the MOST professional, fun, relaxed person as well. He makes you, your family and guests feel comfortable and his attention to detail is perfection.
We woke up the morning of our wedding and reached out to Kenny to thank him. Best decision we made was to use Kenny as our photographer. I would recommend him to everyone as you will not be disappointed!

Kenny was the first vendor we booked (getting the perfect photographer was our #1 priority). Not only are his pictures stunning, he is one of the nicest people we have ever met. Within 5 min of meeting him, you feel as if you’ve been friends forever. He has an uncanny ability to connect with everyone around him (SO important for taking photos) and that is clearly reflected in all of his pictures. Because of this ability and talent, he is able to capture the most precious and emotional moments (he takes the BEST candid photos). My husband and I are convinced he does not sleep. He’s constantly traveling the world, yet he is always responsive and he goes the extra 10 miles in everything he does! He flew to NYC (where my husband and I live) for our engagement session. It happened to be the hottest day of the year, but Kenny was a trooper and took photos for hours longer than we had planned for. For our wedding, he came to our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner to get to know our family and friends and took beautiful photos for us — all complimentary! He also came early to the wedding prep and stayed until the very end, even after my husband had told him numerous times to go home! Even more, at 4am (a few hours after our wedding had ended), Kenny emailed us dozens of sneak peeks. Our family and friends could not get over how kind and professional he was. We took hours of photos with our wedding party before the ceremony, and he made it fun and comfortable for everyone. He also knew all of our family and friends by name! Our guests STILL talk about how amazing he was throughout the weekend. My husband and I feel honored to have had Kenny there to capture our special day. It has only been a little over a month, and we already have all of our wedding pictures! The day is such a complete blur, but because of Kenny and his pictures, we will be able to relive each special moment of our day. His assistant photographer Colin was also absolutely fantastic! If we could give Kenny 10 stars we would. He truly is the best in the business! We could not recommend him more.

I’m pretty sure it’s going to be impossible for Kenny to ever get a less than 5-​star review. I’ve attended or been part of 3 weddings where Kenny was the photographer and his work has always been outstanding!
The really remarkable thing is that his art continues to evolve and improve.
One look at some of the results of his attention to detail and you’ll see why he’s in a rare class of photographer.
Kenny’s photo’s of my sister’s wedding were so impressive that many of them were used as marketing material for Vera Wang!

Hiring Kenny to be our wedding photographer this past February was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding! I am blown away with what an amazing job he did in capturing all the little details.
Kenny is passionate and has an incredibly artistic eye and really knows how capture special moments in his photographs.
I had heard so many good things about Kenny, not just about his photography skills but him being personable and making you feel comfortable during photo sessions. The engagement session pictures were awkward at first since my husband and I weren’t used to posing, but Kenny quickly helped us feel comfortable with his encouragement and help. Those pictures turned out absolutely beautiful, and we displayed a couple of them during our cocktail hour at our reception.
Now to talk about business. Kenny is an extremely busy person, but it still floors me at how quickly he emails back and follows through on things. He is very professional and takes his work seriously. If you want to talk about customer service, Kenny is just phenomenal. There were little things that he did where he just went above and beyond what was called for… I have no words for his professionalism.
After our wedding, Kenny had all of our wedding images ready in about 6 and a half weeks. Amazing! (definitely beat the videographer by a few months) After we finally submitted our pictures to Kenny for our album, the finished product was in our hands after 5 and a half weeks! Our album had a beautiful crystal glance varnished cover that went perfectly with our wedding colors. It was Kenny’s recommendation of course so it was good! That’s the thing with Kenny, we had no idea what we were doing or what would look good, but all we had to do was trust him to do an amazing job, which he did! I still don’t know how he travels, takes pictures for so many couples, AND found the time to edit my pictures!
If anyone is looking for a wedding photographer, I HIGHLY recommend Kenny. It’s the first day of your lives as a married couple, one of the most important days of your lives. You need to have an amazing photographer to capture all those memories. You will not be disappointed!

It’s pretty hard to describe for you the «Art of Kenny.» If you’re having your doubts, or you’re considering a few other photographers, please take a look at his non-​wedding and engagement work. If you follow Kenny on instagram or facebook, you’ll see his work in capturing exotic locales and some famous people. You’ll probably see a lot of familiar places, but in a different way. After you’ve done that, imagine yourself in those pictures. That’s EXACTLY what happened.
We shot all over town, and took pictures in everyday places that look as if we took them in a far away place. We even took pictures on the roof of a high-​rise, right at the edge with no fence or barrier between us and falling many stories. Kenny also found a ton of other great spots, but it’s how the pictures turned out that we’re happiest about.
I really feel that the reason Kenny is able to capture people at their best, is because he truly gets to know his clients. Seriously, just give him a call and meet up with him. He’s completely humble; he let’s his work speak on his behalf (as well as all of his many admirers).
If you don’t believe me, give him a call. He’ll make sure to meet with you and tell you everything you need to know. We would not have used any other photographer to capture our special day. We are extremely satisfied and feel like we have gained a dear friend throughout the whole process as well. Do not hesitate to have Kenny Kim as your photographer. You won’t regret it!

Kenny was our photographer for our engagement shoot and wedding, and my husband and my picky self honestly believe that having Kenny was one of the best decisions of our day. Having been a fan of Kenny’s work for some years, I already anticipated his work to differ from other photographers in quality, but did not expect how much fun and carefree our wedding day would be. Our wedding party, families, and even guests commented on how wonderful he was!
His work truly defines someone going above and beyond to capture the perfect moment. His attention to detail (from the pose to the veil of the wedding dress) and the positioning for the perfect lighting is in every shot he takes. His love for photography is contagious and really helps to put the nervous bride and groom at ease. Our wedding party had so much fun during the photo shoots. We were actually sad to be done!
I’ve heard a lot from friends that they have a difficult time finding even 3 photos to frame from their big day, but I know that from our engagement shoot, we had the opposite problem of having to narrow down to our favorite 30 to frame!
Kenny is not only one of the best in the field, he is extremely humble, easy going, and fun. Knowing that Kenny would be our photographer, I did not have to worry about the shots that needed to be taken or the outcome of the photos, but rather was able to relax, enjoy and completely trust him for the day.
I cannot recommend Kenny enough for not only being able to deliver the highest quality photos for your special day, but to capture those intimate and special moments that seemed to fly by, even more beautiful than you remembered in your memories!

At the last minute, I decided I’d like to have a photographer at my son’s 8th grade graduation party. As hostess, I didn’t want to be responsible for taking photos. Based on Kenny’s reviews on Unilocal,I chose him. I am so happy with my decision! He was wonderful to work with and the kids had a blast. The photos and poses turned out amazing! I would of NEVER thought of taking most of the photos that he took of all of my son’s friends. He was so prompt with emailing the photos for viewing. His creativity is amazing. I would highly recommend him for any photography needs.

Kenny was our wedding photographer 3 years ago, and he is one thing about our wedding that we loved so much that we would recommend him to any of our friends!
He is so fun and easy to work with, and he makes you feel very comfortable and confident in front of the camera. And the results you get is beyond words.
I recently had an honor to be a bridesmaid for my friend’s wedding, and Kenny was her photographer as well. In fact, to have Kenny as her wedding photographer was the most important priority of her wedding planning. Once again, he went above and beyond to capture all the good memories of the wedding, and it was so much fun to work with him.
Given his fame and skills, you may think that you can spare him a bit of cockiness, but no. He is the most humble and personable individual you will meet, and you guarantee that your friendship will grow beyond the time you work with him.

Having Kenny photograph my fiancé and me was such a treat! After reading so many positive reviews about his work, we knew that he’d be the perfect person to take our engagement photos in Paris. He truly exceeded every expectation we had.
We weren’t really sure what to expect considering this was the first time we’ve had professional pictures taken. He met us at our hotel and greeted us with such warmth and enthusiasm. Even though he had just landed, he was ready to start shooting us immediately! We were both pretty nervous and anxious about how to pose and act in front of the camera, but Kenny was amazing at giving us tips and guiding us into the perfect position. He was super encouraging and made us feel comfortable right away.
After spending a week in Paris prior to Kenny’s arrival, we thought we had seen everything the city had to offer. But Kenny helped us discover the ‘undiscovered’ and more intimate areas of the beautiful city. Our pictures were taken in the most breathtaking and unique spots!
We enjoyed his company and we shared so many unforgettable moments. At times it didn’t even feel like a photo shoot because we were enjoying ourselves so much!
Our pictures turned out more amazing than we ever thought possible! They are so beautiful! Every time we look at them it takes us back to all of our special little moments we shared in Paris.

If you want someone to take your photos, edit it and send it back, that’s not Kenny Kim. If you want someone to take your photos, have fun together, make a friend with, edit your photos that turn out FLAWLESS, then we’d recommend you hire Kenny Kim. He has an amazing eye for awesome photos=)
We hired Kenny Kim as our engagement photographer when we traveled to Hawaii and were SOOOO pleased with our pictures=) Not only did they come out AMAZING, but we got to spend time with him for a whole day and he was simply amazing. He’s got a big heart and a huge smile that’s contagious. He is talented and definitely photography is his thing. We randomly stopped at different locations not knowing where we were going and the photos came out phenomenon!

once in a while, you get to meet people who are truly talented and destined to do what they do. kenny kim is one of those people. he is gifted and has the true eye to capture the most brilliant photographs. i have had the honor of knowing kenny and seeing him metaphorphasize and integrate his graphic design skills into the photographer he is today, and really his work really speaks for itself. anyone can have a camera, learn to point and shoot… but very little can do what kenny does.
if you ever need a photographer to capture any special moments in your life– kenny kim is the person to go to. he is professional, kind, and driven. you will not be disappointed. i guarantee it!

I met Kenny three years ago at a friend’s wedding and have kept in touch with him ever since. After seeing his gorgeous work, I knew one day he would be the one to photograph my wedding. We had the pleasure of Kenny joining us in Aruba earlier this year to capture our special occasion. Extremely warm and friendly, Kenny makes you feel like family from the moment you meet. He made an effort to get to know us as a couple, and even took the time to get to know our wedding guests! He NEVER makes you feel like you’re on the clock and is willing to go above and beyond to please his clients. At the same time, Kenny was very professional and took his work seriously. He even arrived a couple days before our wedding to scope out the venue and the island, looking for the best scenic photo ops. Our pictures did not disappoint.

My first hand experience with Kenny was at my sister’s wedding back in 2007. He made such a wonderful impression with me, that when I got engaged I immediately had to call and book him for my wedding.
Kenny’s photography is like a symphony for the eyes. I’ve been following his work and it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful and talented Kenny’s images are. Every year he just gets better and more finely tuned with his craft.
Kenny is not only talented, but personable and goes above and beyond a typical photographer. He takes the time to get to know you and your family. Even though he is busy photographer, he turns his images around more quickly than I expected.

Not sure where to start with Kenny. I guess I’ll start with the fact that he’s the kind of photographer that you don’t remember as a business, he’s the kind of guy you remember as a great person and a friend.
Kenny was our engagement and wedding photographer. He went above and beyond what was expected and necessary to ensure that both my wife and I were 100% comfortable with him and his plans for us, and he put an emphasis on getting to know us and our quirks to portray us as naturally and as best as he could.
A typical complaint about wedding photographers seems to be the turn-​around time for pictures. That definitely does NOT apply here. All of the originals came back to us in a beautiful DVD (it came in a beautifully bound leather book with a photo of us on the front) package before we could even finish unpacking from our honeymoon.
Kenny is a great guy and friend, and anyone would be lucky to have him capture your best moments.
