Dr. Kevin Landers has been practicing for 23 years at his Millennium Park location, Evanston, and others. Dr. Landers graduated from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry in 1989. I am extremely pleased with Dr. Landers and his staff. I first came to him for a second opinion after my own long-​time dentist recommended that I get full veneers (for $ 3000!) to fix a few very minor chips on my front teeth. This seemed a bit strange, as I had done some research online and talked to several friends who had attested that bonding should be sufficient. When I went to Dr. Landers for a second opinion he too recommended that we try bonding first. The results were fantastic– my teeth looked great and very natural. Most significantly, though, I respect Dr. Landers professionalism. He really took the time to tell me about my options, explain the treatment process, and discuss my person preferences. Rather than up-​selling me on veneers, he did a wonderful job bonding my teeth and saving me nearly $ 2500. In summary, I highly recommend this practice for its professionalism, integrity, and results!

Dr. Landers is the best! I have seen three different dentists about a bonding on my front tooth that would always chip off. I was so frustrated with this ongoing problem, until I went to Dr. Landers. He was the only dentist to take the time to find out why the bonding kept chipping and educated me on habits that may contribute to this (turns out my unconscious habit of biting my lip was the culprit). He fixed my smile but also made sure that it stayed fixed. He really cares about his patients and you are in good hands with him and his team.

He is by far the most brilliant dentist I’ve ever come across. Attentive, funny, charismatic, talented. I could go on and on. If you want the best results, go to Dr. Landers.
I’d also like to give a shout out to the staff at his office, who do an amazing job. They’re all welcoming, pleasant and extremely dedicated, which makes for an enjoyable experience. (YES, ENJOYABLE!)

Dr. Landers is the best at implants and cosmetic dental work. I have so many issue from previous dental work and genetics. He did a total mouth makeover about 10 years ago. It was and continues to be the best investment of my life. I get so many compliments on my smile. In addition, my mouth has been the most stable in my life. And believe me I started to have issues as a teen.
I am almost 50 now.
I can thank him enough for being such a extraordinary doctor. Whether you need routine work and especially if you have any issues, see Dr. Landers. Do not let your everyday dentist perform work for which they are not skilled or trained. He is your answer!

UPDATE: Although I had a difficult experience at my last visit, Dr. Landers was kind enough to reach out to me regarding the situation. I appreciate his follow-​up and thoughfulness and will plan on returning.
I made an appointment specifically for MLK Day for a teeth cleaning and sealing due to it being my only day off of work for the next several weeks. When I arrived I discovered that the receptionist who I made the appointment with mistakenly scheduled me for February 19th, which would have been an impossible day for me to miss work. The receptionist didn’t apologize for the inconvenience and condescendingly informed me that the hygienist is not even in the office on Mondays, all in front of other patients waiting. I felt absolutely inconvenienced and embarassed. Knowing that I would not be able to return at later date, I compromised and came in later that day for the teeth sealing with Dr. Landers. Again, no one apologized, despite traveling a total of 2 hours on public transportation that day to return to their office. I won’t be coming back.

Overall, my cleaning at Dr. Landers’ office was one of the best and most thorough dental cleanings I’ve had. The hygienist was extremely knowledgeable, and knew more about teeth than some of the dentists that I’ve visited in the past. She caught a tooth on my XRays that appeared that the root had died, which has been the case for a while and nobody else had noticed.
Dr Landers is excellent as well — he spent lots of time with me determining any problems I was feeling, and made some good recommendations. He carefully explained options along the way, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure I got the right care.
I had originally rated them lower because of some surprises with insurance charges, but Dr Landers personally followed up with me to explain the issues. The personal followup from the dentist himself was appreciated, and I feel much more comfortable now. I would still make sure that you get full coverage on your insurance before coming here, since they are a premium provider, and some insurance plans do not cover them perfectly. However, if you have any doubts, the staff can help walk though the options.

If you have any concerns about your teeth, call Dr. Landers right now. I am writing another review because he deserves it. I currently travel from Philadelphia to Chicago to see him. He is a great person and truly cares about his patients. I visited him a few more times after my veneers to do more adjustments and he worked with me to get it right. If you looking for a dentist who will actually listen to you, offer his opinion yet patient has final say, then call his office and work with the staff to get in there. Stop wasting your time looking around. I have done 9 years of research for this. Please call his office for any procedure. He deserves it, but more importantly you deserve his top notch service. Some dentistslike there jobs, but he loves it helping others.

I’m not sure I’m like most people, because I actually enjoy going to the dentist (oral hygiene is incredibly important to me). But, I have been burned in the past, and had to have a lot of work done, so prior to being referred to Dr. Landers, I was in search of a DDS and team who are perfectionists – and isn’t that what everyone wants for their teeth and gums? Look no further.
The icing on the cake: not only are Dr. Landers’ ENTIRE staff (a tight-​knit team of front desk and hygienists) some of the sweetest, positive people you’ll ever meet, they are also extremely knowledgeable, and are always willing to educate you on what’s going on with your oral health, or make tedious tasks like paperwork, billing and scheduling a breeze. So even if you’re just going in for routine cleanings, I guarantee you’ll have a great experience, and your mouth will thank you for it.

Dr. Landers and his staff are top notch! They are very thorough yet not pushy. I can tell they are all very passionate about their work. Both visits I’ve had began on time, no sitting around waiting. Jennifer did a fantastic job on my cleaning and I was very satisfied with her attention to detail. On my second visit, I had some sealants placed on a few teeth and the procedure was painless and efficient. Dr Landers walked me through what would happen and set clear expectations. I am really impressed with Dr. Landers and his team and am very happy to have finally found a great dentist so close to work/​home.

I went to see Dr. Landers because I was having a lot of pain. Their office were very accomadating with my schedule and where able to get me in right away. I thought for sure it was going to be another root canal, but it wasn’t. Dr. Landers’ likes to take the conservative approach and did a quick adjustment, he thought I may be grinding at night. Told me to go home and pay close attention because he didn’t see any problems on my x-​rays. I’m so glad i have him as my dentist because my bite feels just fine now with the adjustment he did, I do however need a nightguard and will be making an appointment soon! Thank You Dr. Landers and Staff!

Today I met Doctor Landers (first time visit) for a consultation… I was impressed with the detail of our interaction and the care given in explaining and discussing dental terms, procedures & his personal approach. HE DOES HAVE A SPECIAL TOUCH! I could become accustomed to the excellent treatment given me by Dr. Landers and his very Welcoming and Professional staff. Even before the visit, Janice checked with my insurance and followed up with me. It was a pleasure to be so graciously treated by Dr. Landers and his awesome office personnel — I especially appreciate the time he took with me and I left without any doubts that he is an excellent dentist and a man that anyone would be proud to call a friend!

i’ve worked with Dr. Landers for 9 years. He has always provided me with the finest basic dental service, as well as prompt attention to emergencies. I have been going to Dr. Landers for the past 6 years or so. I first saw him for a second opinion when I found out I needed to have a pretty complicated orthodontics procedure done (finding out you need braces at 22 is not fun). It turned out that I did need the braces and Dr Landers worked with me throughout the entire process. He collaborated with my orthodontist, and worked not only to correct the problem I had to begin with, but also helped me to have a perfect smile that I never thought was even possible for me.
In the process, Dr Landers (with the recommendations of my orthodontist) removed 9 of my teeth. He did this without putting me under and only using local anesthetics. It was uncomfortable but he was EXTREMELY gentle and worked slowly to make sure I was pain free through out the entire process. I appreciate that he does not needlessly put patients under for procedures that can be completed, without pain, using local anesthetics. He also reshaped my teeth so that, now that my braces are off, I have straight teeth that are also perfectly shaped.
This past week, I had a small cavity that needed to be filled. Instead of using a drill, Dr landers used a micro-​abrasion procedure which basically felt like he was sanding away the cavity. It was less painful than the routine cleaning was to be honest. and only took about 20 minutes. I mention this as an example of how he integrates the latest technologies in dentistry into his practice, and provides the most up to date care for patients. I’m sure if I had gone to another dentist, they would have used a drill, it would have been painful, and I would have been left with a metal filling.
More importantly, Dr Landers and his staff are SUPER nice, and I can tell that he really cares about me. He has been a huge advocate for me in making sure that i get the best treatments and ensuring that I am completely happy with the results.
It has always been very easy to get appointments in a timely manner, which has not been the case with other dentists i have seen. I usually can schedule an appointment within a few weeks of when I call. The office is very clean, and there are amazing views of millennium park from the dentist chair.
I would highly recommend Dr. Landers. I could not be happier with how my smile has turned out and get compliments ALL the time on how pretty my teeth are: D

Before being a patient in Dr Lander’s office I did a lot of research for orthodontists in the loop. I had a general dentist that I went to for general cleaning. I received a quote from my previous dentist but I wasn’t comfortable with the plan they had outlined. I went to the web and found Dr. Landers on Unilocal.All of the reviews were beaming with patients who were ecstatic with the level or service and professionalism he provided. I scheduled a consultation and was at ease from the moment I came in the office.
I never had braces as a child. I had an extra tooth that came in on top of another adult tooth. Years ago a previous dentist decided to pull the adult tooth and another tooth came in twisted. I was always self conscience about the tooth and would try to adjust my head when I smiled in pictures so the tooth was not visible. I had a friend in my office that just did invisalign and his experience was fantastic so I decided it was about time to make a change.
The work I had done with Dr. Landers was a full round of Invisalign. It took 8 months with special attention to the areas I had issues with. Due to the habit of biting my nails and chewing sunflower seeds I cracked my front teeth several times. Dr. Landers did bondings on both of my front teeth so I would feel more confident about my troubled areas. And I have certainly stopped these bad habits.
The reaction I received from family and friends throughout the treatment period was that they couldn’t tell in the beginning that I was even having orthodontic work done. I wasn’t up front at first about the treatment, but no one could tell. My friends and family are extremely happy for me and love the results.
As a result of my recent dental work I feel I am more outgoing at work and more animated during work presentations, and the clients love that. I definitely smile more.
Although I don’t feel the total treatment period took a long time, for the results I have achieved I would have been willing to do the work even if it took twice the amount of time.
If there was someone else interested in having work done I would without hesitation recommend Dr. Landers to any one of my family and friends. If you stay with the treatment plan the end result is well worth the wait. Coming to Dr. Lander’s office has been a real treat as they truly welcome you as family and enable an extremely comfortable experience.

I needed to have a visible crown replaced so I visited several dentists who specialize in cosmetic dentistry but decided on Dr. Landers after meeting with him and seeing his work.
There was no high pressure sales pitch to have my entire mouth redone and he first suggested the least expensive option to replace a crown in my mouth. After discussing my options I had him work on two of my teeth to improve my smile and I’m really happy with the results.
I’d recommend him to anyone considering cosmetic work or even a cleaning as his entire staff is extremely professional. I had a deep cleaning done here after a couple years of neglect and it was completely pain free.
The view of millennium park from his office is also really nice and will take your mind off having your teeth worked on.

I hate going to the dentist, it is a miserable experience for me. I get nervous, don’t breath have the time, and have a very sensitive teeth.
BUT… Dr. Landers and his staff make the experience much more tolerable, in fact sometimes down right ok. I have never had such a thorough dentist — he even has a camera that can zoom in on your teeth to take a picture of a specific tooth, which is pretty cool IMHO.
I also used Dr. Landers for my invisalign, which I have not been so diligent about maintaining — but its a great resource. He has kept me on track with my trays, even though I have not. Even after taking a hiatus, he is able to help me get back on track. If you need any cosmetic dentistry, I recommend speaking with Dr. Landers — he has a wonderful portfolio of before and after photos.
Even if you are just looking for a new dentist — someone to keep your chompers sparkly white — use Dr. Landers — he is one of the best. Plus his office over looks the end of Millennium Park!
