History

Established in 2009.

Photography has been a part of Krista’s life since she was very young. Whether it was her dad trying to capture every moment of her childhood, her grandmother allowing her to use a point and shoot or her first compact camera on her eleventh birthday. Krista’s favorite «photography» memory is of her Great Grandmother. She loved visiting her because she had accumulated mounds of photos throughout her life. At night before she would tuck Krista in they would look at all the old family photographs. Krista was fascinated by the memories her grandmother had associated with each individual photo pulled from the box. The photographs became a time machine that allowed Krista to experience some of her grandmother’s fondest memories. Krista’s passion for photography stems back to the idea that a photograph can transport a person back to a memorable moment in time and that is what inspires her today.

Krista graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Fine Arts before moving to Chicago to pursue her dream professionally.
