This one’s for the Geritol set…
I am a clubber but even for me sometimes it gets tedious. After the superficial, stuck up and hornball overload you kinda need a break. And thats when i find myself at Las Vegas The crowd is mostly Puerto Rican and near/​in retirement age. Really you don’t know who your gonna see. I’ve seen 70y/o’s and 21 y/o’s all the same night. This is a free open gay friendly bar and from time to time they do drag shows. The bouncers/​bar tenders are very sweet and welcoming. They’ve got a dance floor, no cover charge and Spanish music all night till four. So if ever you and granny are looking to go clubbin this is the spot!

I visited this place once because unlike hipsters
I actually like real neighborhood
dive bars.
I also pride myself on having never gone to the real Las Vegas so I wanted to be able to say that I went to the cool Las Vegas on Armitage but not the other tacky stupid Las Vegas in Nevada.
Well, this Las Vegas is a dive and more. Can you say mélange of well dressed older former latin gang bangers (their wives), and a few six foot tall trannies? Yup, they also had free hispanic
food and of course dancing.
So grab your camera, go take a picture in front of the painting
of two well dressed
silhouettes dancing above the pink script letters that says
Las Vegas (so you can tell your friends that you too have been) and then immediately
hight tail it
across the street to Weegee’s Lounge for a drink.
