We have a wide range of beads (semi-precious, precious, glass, wooden and bone). Silver, gold filled, copper and silver and gold plated findings. We also carry shawls, tunics and other accessories.
So I just rode my bike there maybe 30 minutes ago and there’s a sign on the front, upside down, saying«Store Closing», and the place is all locked up with no lights on. This place is definitely closed.

I really have come to love this store! I have gone to virtually every bead store in the city and this place has, by far and away, the best prices for beads and supplies. The owner carries beautiful merchandise and the prices are so reasonable! She is also so helpful if you have any questions. She’s good at explaining things and makes you feel confident you can go home and do it yourself!

I love this store! The location is easy to get to, not far from the Kennedy, on Irving off Elston. They have a great selection at reasonable prices as well as some really beautiful briolettes and beautiful stones. I read reviews by other visitors, I have come when there was a note in the window saying they would be right back. I waited and found that the owner had just run to put money in the meter. it was worth the wait, I bought some beautiful aquamarine, peridot, apatite, citrine and carnelian. Don’t expect high end accouterments, this store is for someone who wants to make jewelry. They are a family business that has a genuine interest in their customers. They are happy to introduce their nephews and family and there is no pressure to overreach your budget. They are interested in seeing you happy and, on the rare occasion when I have managed to walk out empty handed, there has never been any negative attitude. If you’re worried about them being there, just call them. As a side note, did I mention the beautiful shawls? They are gorgeous and rich colors. They range from simple to embellished. Those alone are worth a visit and make great gifts.

I love this store. Deej has some cool stuff from all over the world. I don’t buy any of the packaged findings unless I’m in a pinch because I’m not really partial to the Darice brand of products, but my favorite things are the wonderful steel box clasps from 3 strand to 9 strand. 9 strand!!! And Deej is super cool, too.

I was excited to find out that there was a bead store just a few blocks from me, so I went to check it out today. I checked the hours before I left home and saw that they’d be open, so I stopped by around 12:15 and they were closed! The sign in the door said that the hours on Saturday were 11:30−6. I found a phone number and called, got a recording that gave the same hours, also saying that they’d be closed Saturday, Feb. 5, which was a week ago, not today. When I got back home, I got back on here and noticed that someone else had a similar complaint about them not being open during posted hours. Luckily, I live just a few blocks away, but I would think it would be really frustrating for someone who went out of their way to go here and for it not to open when it’s supposed to be!

Just walked over to this store, and it looks like they might have lose their lease? The sign said their Saturday hours were 11:30−6 and it was well past 11:30. The store was dark, but all the merchandise was still in there. There was a for rent sign on the door. Their recorded message didn’t indicate that the store was closed.

Got an update from the owner: Hi Christyn, This is Deej with the Let’s get stranded bead store. I’m really sorry I missed you but I’ve been having problems with changing the store hours on google. Our store hours were changed from 11:30a to 6pm Tues-Sat. I had left the present hours on a sign in the front window. If you still happen to be in town, please stop by and hopefully we have something that would be of interest to you. Thank you very much and again, my apologies. Deej

I make tons of beaded jewelry, and I happened to be in the neighborhood so I checked out this store. I was really blown away by how reasonable their prices were and how friendly the owners were. Other bead shops in the city have turned me off with their high prices and aggressive staff, so if I lived closer, I’d be stopping by Let’s Get Stranded all the time. I’m sure I’ll make the trip anyway.
