Linda’s Dance Studio

I was attracted to this dance school because of it’s reviews and its price, so I enrolled my 4 year old daughter in a tap/​ballet class. I quickly realized that when it comes to dance schools you get what you pay for. Her dance instructors methods of controlling the students is to just eject them from class. She would do it in front of all the perants and humiliate both you and your child. She did that to us just because my daughter had to go potty. She yelled at me and told me she should of gone before class. Which she did, she just has a small bladder. C’mon she’s 4 YEARS OLD!
Another reason I wanted my daughter in dance was to help her stay fit. I have struggled with weight all my life, as a parent I’m trying to teach my kid to eat healthier and stay active. This place sells lollipops, juice, cupcakes, chips, cookies, candy bars and even elotes in the waiting area. Call me crazy but maybe kids will behave better if you don’t offer them so much sugar.
She’s at a more reputable dance school now. Yes it’s more money but the difference is night and day. In just a few weeks she’s learned more than a whole season here. And more importantly she loves her teacher and has fun.

After taking my son to three classes at Linda’s Dance Studio, I realized this was a bad choice. My son turned 4 in January and I was excited to have him begin hip hop classes. I called and the owner assured me they had space for another child. At his first class, I was taken aback by how impatient the teacher, Monica, was with the kids. She actually yelled at me at one point, because I was not following rules — which are not posted anywhere. I was not sure about the school after that class, but I decided to keep him there because he enjoyed interacting with the other kids.
I did not like the big age range — there were 7 year olds in the class with my 4 year old. I saw that not all the kids were given attention and many of them were just standing around, walking from one side of the room to the other without direction as to how to perform dance moves. She didn’t have control of the class. The kids were continuously walking in and out of the room slamming the door behind them. At one point, my son asked me for water through the window in the classroom. As I pulled him out to give him water, she barked at me saying «you can’t be doing that!» After he walked back in, she yelled at him and said «are you going to stay in now?!» At the conclusion of the class, she actually singled him out because he fell down, by taking his hand, walking across the room and putting him out of the room. At which point, my son looked at me confused and asked why his teacher threw him out.
I waited for the class to finish to speak with her and her attitude didn’t change. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I spoke to the owner, who didn’t seem to care that her staff were mistreating students. She gave me a full refund, but at one point had the nerve to tell me that I obviously didn’t have control of my child. It became apparent that she had told me they still had room for him in the class to have another paying student. The cost of this school is relatively low, but you get what you pay for — large class sizes, bad teachers, no professionalism and absolutely no customer service.

Between both of my daughter’s they have been dancing at Linda’s since 2005 and my girls really enjoy being part of the dance studio. They have had opportunities to dance at Great America, Disney World, and many more functions. Plus both of my daughters have experienced being part of their Competition Teams. Linda’s is family oriented and the teachers work well with the student’s. They know how to handle large classrooms full of children. I’ve trusted my kids with all the teachers there and they have treated my children very well. Linda’s has the best prices and best hours.

This is a dual review for their weekly 3−7yr old ballet/​tap classes and personal instruction for a birthday party.
My four year old daughter has been going to this studio for 2 months and so far its been a great experience. She goes for an hour ever Monday evening (the hours are very accommodating for working parents). The instructors are so friendly and my daughter is always so excited to go. If you enroll your daughter here get the dance gear at their store, the inventory is much higher quality than what you’d find at target/​walmart and equitably priced.
Miss Irma joined my daughters 4^th birthday party and gave an instruction on mexican folkloric dance. It was a Blast! She did such a great job at explaining everything to the kids and even brought skirts for the girls to wear. All of the girls got beaded necklaces and dancing medals. The birthday girl got a special mini hat headband. Miss Irma even brought a large mexican folkloric dancer mask for pictures at the end. She did an amazing job from the dancing to the little extras like this. You could tell everything was well thought out and it was so fun to watch the kids learn something new. Thank you Miss Irma!

Enrolled my 2 year old for Movement Class and she loves it. They seem to have their stuff together. They only accept cash/​check for payment but it really is the cheapest that I have come across. I am only into the first month here but so far, no complaints. The building looks like an old warehouse but it is actually really nice inside and plenty of parking available.

My girls have been dancing here for a few years now… Not only is the staff very kid friendly but they are also professionals! Their recitals always amaze me… And their prices can’t be beat. My kids look forward to going to dance practice every week. They will be students here for a long time to come! :)
