Our firm has used Loquacious Catering for several of our higher profile events at the Merchandise Mart and for corporate events and they have been fabulous. Always on time, the food is delicious and beautifully displa, the table and serving areas look great and their staff is SO friendly. Chef Aleta is very open to trying new things and really provides excellent client service. I am quite picky (as my clients expect the best) — and I can always depend on her to deliver.

After my original post on the 21^st, Chef Aleta reached out to resolve the issue by honoring our original agreement. She sent one small refund payment, promising to send the rest/​final payment on September 1^st. Before that date she said she needed to move the refund date to the 10^th. It’s now the 16^th and I haven’t heard from her and the payment was not posted. This very disappointing, but not surprising given the previous issues and lack of follow through

I hired Chef Aleta of Loquacious Catering for my recent June wedding and I’m am so happy that I did! Chef Aleta not only offered very reasonable rates, but her food is so delicious. I was glad that I didn’t have to sacrifice quality for quantity. My husband and I opted for a soul food menu for our wedding and were able to have a tasting before we finalized the menu. We also had some delicious hors d’oeuvres to hold our guests over until dinner. We had more than enough food for my guests and it was tasty. Chef Aleta and her team were organized, on time, kind and attentive to our needs. Everything was professional and well beyond my expectations. I highly recommend her for your catering needs, whether they be large or small. I’ll forever be grateful for Chef Aleta!

My Grandparents 60^th anniversary was coming up quickly and none of my family had planned anything so I started looking on here (from Oregon mind you). Found Loquacious Catering and shot out an email. They were super friendly and very helpful with all of my questions, concerns, ideas. By the time I arrived in Chicago, Aleta and her staff had everything planned out and ready for our surprise party. Not only was the food amazing and beautifully displayed, the staff was super friendly and attentive. My grandparents had a wonderful time and we couldn’t have done it without the exceptional service from Loquacious Catering. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone I know in the Chicago area.

What an amazing experience. I hired Chef Williams for Mother’s Day and she made the entire day perfect! She never complained about all of our dietrary restrictions, she was so open minded, and just went with the flow! She prepared soooo much food and never seemed winded. The food was DELICIOUS. She was open to try new things which I LOVE! During the night, she engaged in conversation and was just fun. She’s very clean and well organized. Just the best!

I have worked with Chef Williams and the Loquacious Catering team twice and each time I was one extremely satisfied customer. She cooked for a personal dinner party for my mom’s (god mother and real mother) and my sister and me and we were amazed. Just last weekend, her team catered my Gatsby themed birthday party and they blew everyone away. Extremely professional and prompt (they beat me there). The food was outstanding and everyone was very impressed. Not to mention, the price wasn’t too bad either (that always helps). I have recommended Chef Williams to many friends, as I believe she is an outstanding young lady and I can’t wait to see her business grow into a powerhouse company. I used a YouSwoop for an in-​home dining dinner for up to 8 people four-​course certificate this past weekend. Chef Aleta Williams was very professional, timely, and helpful. We had a lovely dinner party with friends (where I, the host, actually got to enjoy the party).
Chef Williams was well prepared. The food was solid (really enjoyed the Lobster Bisque) and the meal was well paced. I had a great experience with her and her company. She was very timely and accomodating in all her responses to set up an available date for the dinner. I would recommend her to friends if they want an in-​home dinner or catering event.

Terrible experience. I purchased a you swoop and after numerous phone calls and emails, I was able to get a date for a party 7 months later… but now 4 days before the party, I’m told that somehow they forgot to put it in the calendar and nothing they can do about it. After lots of phone calls, I’m getting now the treatment as it’s my fault or «we are a small company and these things happen». Very rude conversation. It is clear that this company doesn’t know anything about customer service.
I probably spent hours just trying to book a date and hours listening to their rude and offensive conversation.
When I asked about a refund, I was told they would not help me with it.

I’m back, as promised to review Loquacious Catering… I’m one SUPER happy pregnant lady. No really… I wish I could afford to hire these chicks to cook for me all the time. After the bumps in the road that we had with scheduling, I was able to book a day very close to my bday which made me really happy.
The ladies said they would arrive by 6 pm. I received a call at 5:30 saying that they were outside! Punctuality! Score! So my friends let them inside and they set everything up (chairs and a rental table) and set the table with the dinnerware/​place settings. It looked like we were in a 5 star restaurant! My buddies that came were sooo impressed. Very Real Houswives of the OC’ish. The presentation was amazing, seriously and the helpers that came along to assist with serving were so polite and friendly (but not overly talkative, you barely even knew they were there!)
On to the food…
The appetizers were delicious! We had the garlic shrimp skewers, polenta hearts, and grilled bruschetta. Now I’m no stranger to fine dining, but really… I’ve never in LIFE had Bruschetta that was so damned tasty. No really… it was to die for… I wish it were acceptable for me to have asked for the recipe because I should have!
Our salad was the orzo salad which was different. I usually am not daring with my orders, I pretty much stick to the basics, but I wanted to try something new and I’m glad I did. Very good combination, but in the future I’ll probably stick with my Cesar salads .
Our entrée was the herb roasted beef which was very tender and flavorful. Let me tell you when I say the garlic mashed potatoes were amazing, I mean it! They gave me a few leftovers after the event to take home… I put them in the fridge and my bestie that was visiting from out of town unknowingly ate the only potatoes (I guess it was my fault for saying… help yourself to whatever is in the fridge. I should have said… help yourself but DON’T TOUCH MY POTATOES!!!)
Needless to say, we ended up in a fight and not speaking to each other all morning, due to Loquacious Catering and their mouthwatering potatoes.
Finally, for dessert we had the chocolate rum cake. It was delightful! I’m not a huge chocolate fan, but this cake was soooooo good, it was perfect for the occasion. I wish that they sold them in a retail location because I would certainly be a loyal customer.
So overall I give these ladies 5 stars, their professionalism and their product ultimately make any scheduling delays worth the wait. I would definitely use their services again, and I’m secretly racking my brain now trying to find an upcoming «occasion» to justify doing so.

We purchased a YouSwoop for in-​home catering, and we were luck enough to get Chef Aleta. I was a little nervous about the whole thing beforehand, but it couldn’t have turned out better. The food was delicious (I still think about the polenta appetizer!) and she truly went above and beyond with all of her help setting things up and clearing. Our guests loved the dinner as much as we did, and it made for a fun and stress-​free evening where even as the hosts, we got to relax. I can’t recommend it enough!

Chef Williams got rear ended on the way to our house, and arrived late. She still got all the food out on time and beautifully done. She didn’t break a sweat doing it. Cool as can be, a real pro. Everything was delicious, and she served removed, cleaned up and care of everything without a single hitch. Highly recommended, and even dependable in the face of adversity.

Be careful — she will cancel your date (using youswoop or similar) if something bigger and better come along. She did this to me and was not nice about it. I got a credit from youswoop but I did not appreciate her treatment. I am a business owner and would never cancel on someone if something better came along.

We had Chef Aleta Williams cater our dinner event. She did everything from prep to cook to clean! We had her develop a menu of shrimp, beef and fish around a particular bottle of wine we were opening that night and she did a wonderful job. She is affordable and nice. Definitely recommended!

I contracted Chef Aleta for a small dinner party for my Bday. Everything was absolutely wonderful! She was professional, helpful, and not to mention the food was all delicious. I can’t wait to have another event so that I can hire her again! She also offers a weekly meal program that I’m considering partaking in. I would recommend her to any looking for an outstanding caterer.

Aleta catered an event for about 20 people for us last minute. The food was delicious and Aleta is an absolute joy to work with. Amazing food and at a reasonable price! We will definitely use her again and will recommend her.

Chef Aleta catered a cocktail party for 75 guests at our home in Beverly. The food was fresh and phenomenal, and the service was top notch – all at a very reasonable price. Chef Aleta took care of everything, from bar and buffet setup to coat racks and coat check. All I had to do was show up! It made for a wonderful, memorable evening. Everyone asked about the catering.. . it was that good.
I thought «Loquacious Catering» might mean that the owner is talkative. She’s not at all. Chef Aleta is a woman of few words, but the food speaks for itself.

I catered our family dinner this year from Chef Aleta and boy let me tell you… The food was mouth watering, fresh and extremely well prepared. You could taste the seasoning in each bite. The portion size for what we paid for was exceptional! I would recommend Loquacious to everyone I know in need of a great caterer.

I have utilzed Loquacious Catering for 2 fundraising events and I have referred them to many others. Excellent food and great service. Check out their football sundays event at Ciao in the West Loop. A different menu each week. Even if you’re not a football fan the food will keep you coming back. Variety, service and down right great food.
