Solid Panini. Chicken pesto and roast beef is the best. I’ve gone here for work lunches a couple times – would I have gone here otherwise? Not sure. Perfect lunch spot if you work in River West.

The people that work here, aren’t happy. That is my best guess. Horrible customer service, the food is way over priced for the taste and quality. And no matter how many toppings you put on yer salad, it still tastes horrible. If you like getting an attitude and horrible service, by all means.

What a terrible place! I walked in around 9:30 am in attempts of buying some sort of wrap or salad I could bring to work for lunch, and was attended by this very unfriendly greasy looking man, who was fiercely scratching the inside of his ear with his finger, then cleaning the wax in the serving counter!!! OH. MY. GOD! My conversation with him was very quick: –hi –hi ma’m –I just wanted to order something to take out —(man pointing to the breakfast menu, his pinky finger had a 10 second break there) –no, i want something for lunch. Would you guys cook something from the lunch menu?(me, already thinking about aborting that mission) –no ma’m mission aborted. Taylor Swift, thanks for inspire me to this: Weee eeee are never ever ever EVER!!! … getting back in here!

What can I say, I stopped in here with a friends and no expectations of this place. For years, I have actually thought this place was a pizza joint. Boy was I surprised to find that this place had so much to offer. Free WiFi Froyo Sweet treats like chocolate dipped rice krispie treats. Junios Sandwiches Paninis Wraps Soup Chips & Cheetohs. And finally they have DIET Dr Browns Black Cherry… nice. Bike parking on street. Ample seating. Crappy napkins. Good sandwiches.

Overpriced, poorly staffed, below average food, and smells like a cafeteria. La Croix from Whole Foods = .70 cents La Croix from Loves Yogurt = $ 1.80. The dudes that work there are borderline mean. They seem unhappy and are often rude. The owner is always just ‘watching’ during lunch and seems miserable. Yo owner — Why don’t you read all of these Unilocal reviews and do something? Everyone says the same thing…

Stopped by here while on a bike ride a few weeks back. It was a ridiculously hot day, so I ordered a sugar-free, fat-free chocolate froyo. It was pretty delicious, especially considering what it didn’t have in it. Server is all counter/register staff, and, frankly, I was the only one in the shop, so my experience with any worker at the shop was pretty minimal. Seemed pleasant enough. This is a solid stop on a hot day, so it’s at least worth a shot.

Intrigued by the advertisement for a «custard-style» frozen treat, I stepped into this restaurant on a summer day. Unfortunately, when I went to order I learned that they no longer served custard-style treats and I instead indulged in the richest frozen treat I could find-a low fat chocolate soft serve. I think they ought to change the name to «chocolate protein powder» because that is what it tastes like. If you’re looking for a tasty frozen treat, stick to Jeni’s Ice Cream or Forever Yogurt. Both are much tastier and much better deals.

I’ve only been for froyo so that is what my review is about. Good selection, lots of toppings, pretty cheap. It’s not the best, but it’s the only froyo within walking distance of my office so I’ll be going a lot this summer.

I stop at Love’s every so often on my lunch break, mostly because there’s not many options near my office. Pros: There’s always lots of seating available. Love their frozen yogurt. Salads are great, and you can have as many toppings as you want(not like other places that charge per topping or my weight). Service is quick, even when they’re busy. Cons: Prices are a little high. The two paninis that I’ve tried(veggie and chicken) were super greasy. Staff isn’t very friendly. I’ll keep going because it’s close to my office, but if there were other options, I probably wouldn’t.

Not far from where I work, I’d never been into Love’s until a couple of months ago because it never seems to be open when I’m around. I wasn’t very hungry the time I went(office lunch) so I went for a frozen yogurt, which was pretty good, a tart raspberry. Even the medium serving was too much for me that day but it was still a solid options if you want something cold and you find yourself stuck at Chicago and Halsted for some weird reason. The annoying part, though, was that they want people to line up separately for sandwiches and yogurt and pay at different registers. That’s really annoying when you’re paying as a group and one or two people want to order from one area and the rest of the group orders from the other. When I explained that it was a group order they seemed confused about letting me pay with my group and the guy at the register kept asking me what side I wanted for my yogurt(meaning what kind of chips) and I was really confused. Also, my boss got raw potato sticks amongst his fries. So the yogurt, at least, is solid, but I think things are really poorly organized.

Love’s is the perfect spot for a quick lunch or take-out. I have been to Love’s on numerous occasions. Love’s has simple(or complex) sandwiches. Their paninis are especially delicious. This is a good spot for lunch — there is plenty of room to sit, and the sandwiches are made quickly and with fresh ingredients. I also love the ice cream! For low fat and fat free ice cream, Love’s can’t be beat! One drawback is the significant lack of parking. There is supposedly a free lot somewhere, but I’ve never been able to find it. Lack of parking aside, visit Love’s for lunch — you won’t be disappointed.

By default there isn’t much else in the area. The portions are small and the food is weak for the price. Though the place is VERY clean, the staff is as cold as the Froyo. Too bad Finkel’s Closed, at least you had another option.

I have never had the fro-yo here. don’t worry. it is on my to do list. the sandwiches are pretty good though. decent portions(with the exception of my brisket sandwich today, kind of skimpy). the service is friendly and fairly quick. i have to recommend the roast turkey sandwich on ciabatta bread. super good and super filling. the rueben is good too and i feel like i’ve had a good panini here at one point. its a block-ish away from my office so its good to have a go to.

Love’s has awesome froyo. It’s not the«real» kind with the bacteria in it that’s better for you, but it’s yummy. They have one that’s chocolate and it’s fat free AND sugar free, so I can’t figure out what the hell is actually in it. But it’s really good with some carob chips on top. Downers: hours are bad and the salads are just ok. If you need something special with your order, it will probably be made wrong. Every time I order a panini with no tomatoes. they magically appear on the panini. Uppers: friendly and fast service and very clean environment with a lot of choices. Good parking too. Nice open space in the dining area and I think they have wi-fi.

Ever since I moved to River West, I can’t get enough of Love’s! I’m only a 2 minute walk away, so I find myself constantly craving their amazing smooth creamy Fro Yo — Peanut Butter & Chocolate swirl is the ultimate. Also a fan of the Cake Batter flavor, which they get in here and there. Big fan of the hot Tuna panini(melted with cheese, sprouts, lettuce) and Tuna Wrap on tomato or whole wheat. Both are big and can easily be split with a friend. Service is fast and friendly, and the guys who work here and have come to know me based on my regular appearance here every week! Salads are just okay — I come for the tuna because it tastes great, fresh, not overly mayo-heavy tasting and low-fat, which is hard to find. But let’s be honest, you come here for the delicious fro-yo. I am constantly craving this stuff! My only complaint: the hours suck! They are not open on the weekends, which is when I want my fro yo fix … and even in the summer they close at 6 pm. I think they extended their weekday hours to 8:30 pm for now, but probably won’t stay that way for long.

The 5 stars for Love’s Chicago is 100% deserved for their frozen yogurt. I absolutely love their Low Fat Peanut Butter & Low Fat Creamy Milk Chocolate Swirl Frozen Yogurt, as I write this I am eating it now and(don’t judge) but as I get to the end of the cup I am slowly very sad that is over(haha I know its kinda pathetic!) But in all seriousness if your looking for GREAT frozen yogurt and your trying to stay healthy, Love’s is perfect! In terms of food, Love’s does okay, their cheesy baked potatoes are delicious(so not healthy though) and their salads are pretty decent. I would not say 5 stars worthy by any means, but the yogurt is my all time favorite so how could I not rate this place a 5. My advice is to go get lunch/dinner somewhere else and come to Love’s for their Froyo… yum!

«You can be overwhelmed, you can be underwhelmed, but can you ever just be ‘whelmed’?» Yes. You can. Go to Love’s. At once overwhelmed by the eclectic and expansive selection of baked potatoes and frozen yogurt and underwhelmed by the spotty wi-fi and the abundance of styrofoam… Love’s is superbly mediocre. The sandwiches are not even elementary school trade-worthy, yet they sell Chicago’s own Metropolis coffee. I don’t quite know what to do with myself. I’m addicted to its«eh-ness.» I’m just terribly whelmed.

This place serves everything: sandwiches, hot dogs, ice cream, even baked potatoes! I’m not sure what their specialty is, if they have one. Prices are pretty standard for the area. I went here for lunch and ordered the rare roast beef sandwich with Swiss. Each sandwich comes with a bag of chips. They heat their sandwiches up like Quizno’s, putting the bread and cheese through the conveyer belt oven. The end result was good, but that was it: it didn’t seem like anything I couldn’t whip up at home, for far cheaper. I also decided to try the ice cream, opting for a chocolate-peanut butter shake. This was far from the best shake I’ve had. The flavors didn’t go together nearly as well as they should have. A classic combination, but it tasted so divided. I much prefer the PB&C at Coldstone to this. Love’s is a decent option if you live/work near there, but it’s too average to go out of your way.

I’ll start off by giving shout-outs to a few of the deliciously awesome things here. –The frozen yogurt. Mmmm… Peanut Butter! Cookies ‘n Cream! Dreamsicle!!! Ghirardelli chocolate, and more. Super tasty and fairly cheap. They have a decent selection of toppings, too, so you can be creative and fun! –The asiago cheese soup with tortellini… fantastic! I don’t know if it goes by another name or not, but this stuff is the shizzy. –The staff. Friendly, fun, and always willing to hand out a few free tasters. Our server today, in fact, was a hoot and joked around with us while we were contemplating our frozen yogurt orders(seriously… with so many flavors, it’s hard guys!) But, unfortuantely, the place is lacking a little bit in the value department when it comes to their sandwiches and portion sizes. Mind you, I may have the appetite of an Olympic athlete, so a small sandwich really doesn’t cut it for me, but most of their sandwiches that I’ve had so far aren’t really hearty enough to fill up most of my girlfriends. While I admit they are pretty tasty, I usually end up leaving hungry afterwards, even if I add on a bag of chips or some other side order. At anywhere from $ 5.75-$ 6.50 a pop(about, per sandwich), I’d expect a little bit more. I’ll keep stopping in to grab some yogurt, especially since summer is coming up, hopefully bringing warm temperatures with it. As far as for a meal, though, I’ll probably hold off or go elsewhere.

This is near my office(there isn’t much!) so I tried it for lunch today… Hmmm, not impressed. Sorry, but I don’t consider a «veggie» wrap to be lettuce and mushrooms with ranch dressing wrapped in a tortilla. I mean, sure… it CAN mean that, but not for my $ 6.50. The veggie chili was OK. The bright spot is the yogurt/ice cream.(I had peanut butter, they will let you sample a lot of different kinds!) It really is good and the only reason I’ll return. I won’t be having lunch there! But it can be my new secret getaway for midday treats… bribing myself to get through another workday. Customer service was as good as the veggie wrap: basic and not super awesome. WAYYYYY overpriced… but healthy options are good for those watching the waistline… Private parking lot.
