I was referred to see Dr. DeMeo from a family friend and co-​worker of Dr. DeMeo’s. Let me just start off saying that when I first went to see Dr. DeMeo I was 19 years old with chronic stomach pain. I had never seen a specialist for it. When I came into his office Dr. DeMeo could see in my face that I was in pain and that I wasn’t feeling well. From then on out Dr. DeMeo ran tests and examined me thoroughly to see what the potential cause of my abdominal pain could possibly be. We eventually came out with a diagnosis and for a long time after that initial visit one year ago I had no pain or symptoms again. However, recently I have started not feeling well again and I contacted Dr. DeMeo and the first thing he had me start doing was keeping a food diary to see if my eating habits needed fine tuning or changing. I am now currently under the care of Dr. DeMeo and even though his sense of humor can be a little dry sometimes, I believe in his theory that, «young people are immortal and that we can heal ourselves.»
