After needing a little something extra for lunch, some co-workers and I stopped in for a quick bite and it was fine. Décor: It’s a McDonald’s, not much more is needed to say. It’s clean, well lit, and there are enough tables for a lunch rush. Staff: The cashier was fine. He wasn’t overly friendly, or personable, but I think he might have been having one of those days… Food: It’s McDonald’s and that’s why I love it! You know what you’re getting and that taste… it’s such a comfortable feeling chowing down on a McDouble. Value: Again, it’s McDonald’s. However, I hate when the Dollar Menu has items that are over $ 1. In fact, the ONLY item on this Dollar Menu that is $ 1 was a freaking ice cream cone! Now, granted, other items were $ 0.25-$ 0.75 more but still, it’s the principle of the thing! I’m a huge McD’s fan, always have been and always will be. I may not come often, but I’ll always come back.

If you show up to this McDonald’s 10 minutes before they’re about to close, they won’t take your order. They say they’re done taking orders for the night. More shitty services from McDonald’s. I can’t imagine why people are getting tired of it.

This is my first and may be the only 3 star review I will give to a McDonald’s. The only reason that this organization would get any positive feedback from me is due to the fact that they provide public restrooms. It can be hard to find a public restroom that does not require you to purchase something and I semi-understand this. But still, it is nice to be able to run in and use the washroom when in dire situations. Let’s just say during my 19 mile run I found it necessary to stop here around mile 13 to make a quick pit stop.

I came here since I had a taste for some chicken mcnuggets and I ordered two 20 piece mcnuggets and I give them props for the cleanliness, but it seems to be a hotbed during the warm months for the homeless to congregate and harass customers for change. My visit to this location tonight was not very good because when I got my food and got home they only gave me one 20 piece mcnugget so I fished out the receipt from my purse and called their customer service hotline and let them know that service was unacceptable. I noticed while waiting on my food was that the employees were running around and it took one of the shift managers to send someone to the register after 5 minutes to take my order. I mean seriously you see me standing here and you didn’t bring your behind over to the register instead of someone telling you to go there. I’ve had better service at other McDonalds since downtown is saturated with them on just about every corner so if you miss one keep walking you’ll come up to another one in less than 5 minutes. This McDonalds is situated in what used to be a high end luggage shop and then later a sit down restaurant until they closed down and later reopened to what is now McDonalds. I have a problem with the excessive time wasted to properly taking orders. They need to repeat the customer’s order back to them so they aren’t screwing up orders where things are missing from the person’s order. I might take my business elsewhere since I can get quicker service at other locations than this one it’s not the only McDonalds in downtown.

Worst McDonald’s ever. Better eat your food quick or management will come up to you after half hour and tell you that you can’t stay longer than that. Never happened at any other downtown McDonald’s or other restaurant. This on top of the fact that 90% of the tables were empty. Go elsewhere, employees here are a joke. If you do decide to give them your business don’t make the same mistake I did and sit adjacent to McDonald’s employees on break. You’ll get a dose of not to family friendly f-bombs and other colorful language.

So it’s a bit pointless to review McDonalds since they’re all the same but since this review isn’t about the food, menu, whatever, its about this particular location, staff etc. since there are already a crapload of other MCD’s in the area. To start, this one is my morning spot and its right next to the Chase Tower. The large windows overlook chase plaza and it’s very clean inside. Appearance wise it’s very nice. Now on to the staff. Most of them are friendly/welcoming enough, however I do not understand why they would need 6 – 7 managers working there(they all wear a different color uniform than the rest of the staff and I’ve counted up to 7 of them). In addition the top manager simply stands there are shouts«come on ladies, push!» yeah it’s irritating for them and for me. Please stop. My biggest complaint is the waiting process. Although it has improved, there are still no clear indications of where a person should stand and this usually results in confusion especially when it’s crowded as hell in the morning. Putting aside the stupid lines the staff have to say, the crowds of dumbass pushy commuters and the overall feeling of putting processed waste in your mouth first thing in the morning, this spot is a pleasant place to be as far as McD’s are concerned.

Probably one of the best McDonald’s I have been to as far as quick and efficient service. This store is clearly high volume and I have never had an issue with my order being wrong and my food is always ready promptly.

It used to be our favorite McDonald’s, since it’s large and has a good view on the Chase tower and Chagall’s wall. But don’t even try to use the restroom there — it’s always dirty or situated with some homeless stinky bag-lady.

The review is less the food and more the expediency of service. These cats are efficient and attentive, during both slow and busy times. They also have good in-house specials. A lot better than the service at that garbage Wendys across the street.

Yay for 59 cent ice cream cones! Who knew that plain vanilla ice cream could taste so delicious! At first, I thought the cone size was small, but it was very satisfying and a good option for an afternoon pick me up to make the work day go by faster. I also enjoy their iced coffee and chocolate chip cookies, but have yet to try it from this location. I’m sure it is good. Needless to say, I’ll be back for the cone — so cheap and so good!

It’s a McDonalds! I’m giving this a 4-star for the cleanliness and location and hours of this place. Quite an impressive location. It is very clean, has many booths, and has a great feel to it. The customer service seemed pretty great considering I got a coffee only. But the fact they listened to what I asked for and were courteous gave me a good feel. I liked the location as well and then the hours were great. Downtown in that location to have a McDonalds open late is amazing. It actually made me want to go in and eat from there. But I held off and got a coffee only. Maybe next time. ;)

Alright, so I’m a sucker for Mcdonald’s… it’s my guilty pleasure… Because I can use the pedway to get here from my office(don’t have to go out in the cold), I’ve been here on occasion. The food has always been fresh, but I question the wait time. There is a full staff and not always many customers, yet the service is slow. How long does it take to scoop fries or put water in pre-made oatmeal?!?

This McDonalds makes me sad. It’s right across the street from where I work and it’s hard to pass up $ 1 coffee in the morning, but there’s always a problem. My first issue is the line situation. The ordering counter is packed with registers, but offers no where for people who have already order to wait. I don’t frequent McD’s but all the other ones I’ve been in have a space to the side of the registers where you stand to wait for your food, this one doesn’t. It makes it really annoying to walk into because it looks like there are a ton of people in line(when usually there’s only about 5) and like chaos. Also,(sorry… tangent) if there are a lot of people waiting to order the cashiers don’t even wait for the person at their register to move before«greeting» the next person, they just yell over the person still in front of them. I would say it’s just a rude cashier, except I have watched the manager instruct them to do this, so its either bad corporate policy or bad store policy– either way it’s rude. My second major issue is the frequency with which I need repeat my order(«good morning, a medium coffee, 2 creams 1 sugar, please»). I worked as a fast food cashier for 6 years, I get there’s an order things have to be imputed in and that sometimes there’s so much background noise you can’t hear so I usually understand when I have to repeat the cream/sugar ratio once. I don’t understand when I have to say it 4 times and still get the wrong thing(when the cashier repeated my order back to me the second time it was a medium coffee with 1 cream and 6 sugars – ??what where did those numbers come from? –I didn’t say that but I thought it). It’s a terrible way to start the morning. :( I, sadly, will continue to go every so often because my eternal desire to keep as much of my paycheck in the bank as I can doesn’t out weigh my need for a second cup of morning coffee

Soaring windows overlook Chase Plaza. Good people watching. Overall a surprising oasis in the heart of the loop… nice job Mickey-Dees.

As McDonald’s go, this is one of the better ones. They really keep the lines moving during lunch time. As others have stated, the seating is pleasant as is the outside view. Unlike some of the Macs inside the loop, this one has a self-serve drink fountain station so you can get refills. And it has the now ubiquitous free wifi so it’s nice to catch up during lunch.

As for the architecture: it is probably the only McDonald’s in a Mies-type building. Cool idea, although the interior decorator clearly didn’t understand the free plan principle at all and has tried to tie everything down in a very Starbuck’s cliché. As for the food: it’s a McDonald’s.

this one is fine, EXCEPT(and this is MAJOR… why do we go to McDonald’s?), they have NO dollar menu. Boo hiss. Service is always fine, the space is quite nice, but…

In the middle of the loop — the staff is very efficient and with tons of people constantly walking in, still put in and serve orders surprisingly quickly. I also like this McD’s because it doesn’t have the weird downtown extra $ 1 – 2 prices.

I walked into this McDonald’s for the first time EVER today. I LOVE this McDonald’s! What a jem! LUVLUVLUVLUVIT! It is next to Chase Tower, on Exelon Plaza, and it has GORGEOUS, like, 30 ft tall windows that allow you to look out onto Jackson street between Clark and Dearborn. The view is simply stunning, especially, somehow, on a gray and rainy day like today! There’s so much wonderful modern architecture on this street, and coupled with the hustle and bustle on the sidewalk, it’s a veritable moving portrait depicting the vibrancy and vitality of city life in Chicago. Obviously, you don’t go to Mickey D’s for, like, gourmet food. Personally, I like pâté and wine, or rack of lamb, as much as Fillet-O-Fish. Incidentally, I was in a pinch and Fillet-O-Fish is actually what I ordered. But that’s neither here nor there. Boy was I GLAD I stopped in here! Order a fracken Diet Coke if you have to, but GO to this location, sit at the super clean tables and admire the absolutely STUNNING view. It’s almost poetic!
