I had a massage with Demi and it was an amazing experience. I have a lot of tension on my back and Demi listened to what I wanted and spent time working on my back. She did a mix of deep tissue and Swedish massage. The staff was very friendly and nice. They were able to fit my friend and I in on a same day appointment and were very flexible. Go in and ask for Demi! It was definitely worth 40 $!

Prompt, efficient and friendly!
I had a wonderful time getting a hair-​cut at Mirror Mirror. Staci is very friendly and sure knows how to keep you engaged. It’s the first time that I did not know when the cut got over!
I have naturally wavy hair and I am always looking for cuts that can use it to create a good look. Staci suggested to go for a layers starting little below the crown for a little more playfulness. I quiet liked what I saw in the mirror especially from behind. Smiley.

Today I came in for a haircut to cut a couple inches off and add some layers and I left LOVING it! Stacey did a fabulous job washing, drying, and styling it for me. I brought in a picture of what I wanted it to look like and she followed it perfectly. I also really enjoyed how she talked with me throughout the entire service.
The salon is located in a very nice area on Randolph Street and has plenty of parking right in front of their doors. It is also less than a 5 minute walk off the Morgan Green/​Pink line station. There are also an ample of nice restaurants around the area.
Point is — if your around the area and are looking for a salon give them a try!

I answered a call from Salon Apprentice about a free cut and color. I emailed the specified email address on the call with photos of the style I was trying to achieve and asking for more information on the stylist’s experience. Instead of receiving a reply with more information I was welcomed with a reply that, not so subtly, stated that if I even need to ask about their experience I should take my business to a «more regimented artist in the less creative salons». OK, or maybe I should take my business to a salon that is more adept in customer service with an actual portfolio…
Maybe this comment was intended as cute and edgy, but better luck next time. I did not schedule services from this salon, and I have never encountered such rude behavior. No wonder they’re giving free cuts and color… why else would anyone subject themselves to such immature and unprofessional behavior.

I just went today, and Staci was super friendly. She not only talked to me, but to my aunt who was sitting waiting for me. I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted so I brought in pictures on my laptop and she have suggestions and tips on what would look nice with my skin color/​face and why it would. She did layers and a haircut which costed a total of 50 $ which was great! She offered water and suggested places to eat after I was done because me and my aunt were starving, and we talked about so many things. She also asked me to email her the finished product in two days since it takes about two days for the highlights to get lighter. I will definitely go back, and I was so worried I’d hate my haircut or color. (I’m pretty picky and couldn’t sleep last night because I thought I’d hate my new hair) It took two times for the dye to really stick and absorb into my hair because my hair is weird like that. At first it was blonde and I wanted to cry, but another shot and it was perfect! I was pleasantly surprised. Next time I will for sure dye my whole hair a light brown color because these highlights look nice and my hair was left feeling soft and pretty.

I came in for a much needed haircut with Staci. She asked what I wanted to have done and came up with great suggestions on how to cut my hair, as I’m planning on growing it out from a pixie to a bob. She added layers and volume while trimming all the uneven ends I had. The end result was a stylish cut that is great for this period of haircut transition. I left very satisfied and plan on coming back! Thanks Staci for listening to my needs, giving me a great cut, and for the entertaining conversation!

I ended up loving my haircut and loving my color done by Staci. However, the final product is definitely not the color I went in requesting, and I had to wait about an hour before I was seen with little to no explanation as to who my hairdresser was and how long the wait would be. luckily I had eyes and social cues and a book to read and time, so I wasn’t too annoyed.
I opted out of a blowdry because I personally don’t like to spend more than a couple of hours at a place and unfortunately with the wait I was maxed out, so I can’t comment on that. This place is five stars for the haircut but three stars for overall experience. Staci was fun and very easy to work and chat with.

I really wish I could give a 5-​star review, but I can’t :/​and here’s why:
The bad: I emailed my stylist multiple times before my appointment regarding what I wanted (cut and balayage). I included multiple pictures as well as a detailed explanation of what I was looking for, regarding color: a subtle balayage with caramel tones, flowing face framing color placement, dimension and movement. The key word here is balayage. However, I walked out with highlights instead. BLONDE highlights, not even caramel or any other light brown shades. Aaand the highlights were applied so far away from my roots they look kinda awkward… Bummer! :/​
BUT–
The good: my haircut is on point! I have lots of wavy hair that can be pretty unruly. This was my first haircut EVER where my stylist actually understood the way my hair sits, and gave me a cut a) that matched up to the pictures and the expectation I had which we discussed and b) looked freakin awesome with my natural texture! Big shoutout to STACI, my stylist for the day :) she also made lots of conversation during the appointment, which made the time go by a little faster. Also, when we were all done, I didn’t like how light the ends in the front turned out. Staci took the extra 5 minutes to fix the tone/​color of those areas and got it to a much more acceptable shade. Yay!
Overall, the salon is cute and clean. They do everything (hair, nails, eyebrows, massage…) everyone is super friendly and talkative. This could easily have been a 5-​star review if I had gotten balayage like I had asked for. Instead I have sorta-​highlights. But I plan to come back to give them another shot ;)

Went in last Saturday to give an oomph of color to my dulling strawberry blonde. Staci read my mind and picked out a shade of red that was exactly in my wheelhouse. Being a bit of a novice when it comes to color I was a bit nervous, but Staci had a way of being so approachable and reassuring so that you immediately lose those fears. She clearly knows what she is doing when it comes to hair.
The color came out great (an HD version of me) and the witty banner and fun conversation had me in such a positive mood when I left. I honestly do not remember the last time I had so much fun with a hairstylist.

Didn’t even go into the place, and the service was already distasteful. Blonde lady saw us parking and met us at the door to say «how can I help you» before we got a chance to even see the establishment. Asked if any massages were available– she said no and then said the parking was only available for people inside of the salon. I figured we would need to park first to then be inside of the salon? Refused the card she offered at the end. I’ve never been greeted at a door to be denied within 30 seconds. Used to be a receptionist at a spa and I could say this behavior wouldn’t be accepted at a top-​end place. I guess you get what you pay for– good thing we didn’t pay anything.
— in response to the managers comment. i was NOT «browsing the area» i parked with the intention of going inside and booking/​paying for two massages. Usually you park and go inside to ask for availability. the fact that we were greeted at the door and not even allowed inside was horrific. Way to once again, ignore everything else about the lack of customer service and jump to the parking. Maybe Mirror Mirror should open a parking lot and leave the spas for people who know what they are doing.

Just had a great haircut from Stacy. Needed some weight taken out and wanted some shape in my hair. Staci knew exactly what I needed and I came away very happy. She’s very chatty and made me feel at ease while I was getting my haircut. Thanks again Staci!

Found my new favorite salon.
My teenage daughters wanted to add some color to their hair. It’s hard to find a good colorist who gets teenage ideas. Their hair came out amazing. It looks so healthy now. Staci made sure the girls knew to use certain products to keep their hair looking good.
I also got a great manicure while waiting. I’ll definitely make an appt for my hair.
The staff seemed pleasant and the salon is nice and cozy.

The only time I was ever 100% happy leaving a hair appointment was today with my cut and hi lights from Staci. It’s the best hair cut I have ever gotten — Staci knew exactly how to cut it that it would frame my face in the most flattering way possible. My new hilights are brilliant too. The salon also offers massages and mani/​pedis! I will definitely be back! Thanks Staci!

If you leave a bad review, be prepared to receive a condescending phone call offering a free service for changing your Unilocal review. Why would I want to go back when I’ve had 2 similarly bad experiences? I was told «I hope nobody holds it against you when you have a bad day…» And «we have some naturally happy people if you’d like to make an appointment with them»… Um! Maybe you should train your staff so you don’t have to make these ridiculous phone calls.
Now my review:
Why are all the employees so miserable at this salon??? The masseuse has the worst aura and the most sour puss face I’ve ever seen. The owner should evaluate having her sit at the front desk. She’s unfriendly and in a constant state of «sighing».
I came early for my mani pedi. And pretty much sat 30 minutes until finally I had to ask if I was going to be seen. Angelica walked in 20 minutes late, finally got me saying «your water is ready» and didn’t even apologize for my wait! She looked just as miserable to be there as the rest. She did a pretty good job of my mani pedi which is why I gave them 2 stars not 1. After I started talking to HER I realized she was having a bad week, but still! This is a service based business! Leave it at the door.
Ppl are paying for your service and deserve some friendliness. I’m surprised the owner hasn’t made some changes after reading all these terrible reviews of her staff. Wo Never again!

~Georgia is AMAZING. Not only does she give a great mani pedi, she is sweet and friendly. She gives helpful tips to promote healthy nails, and I look forward to going back to her.
~Staci is friendly. during the holidays she gave me a unexpected gift. Nice touch.
~Their Spa packages are really reasonably priced. Your buck will go far.
Cons
~The staff in general are not the friendliest bunch. They don’t smile and are not cheery.
~If you have a SpaWish gift certificate, be prepared to pay $ 18 bucks (to help defray their cost for being a participant)

Had a great styling cut with Staci.
Staci at Mirror Mirror welcomed me with a great smile. She discussed the at styling and have me options. The cut and style included a shampoo, and was done in good time.
The end result was a great style. popular by today’s standards. Staci was also kind enough to give me tips on the day to day styling technique.

Had an another opportunity offered to me to retry my experience with Mirror Mirror and I have to say it was very enjoyable, the room was nicely lit and clean. Iris gave me a very good massage and pounded every ache out of me.
Highly recommend coming to Mirror Mirror to erase all your aches from every muscle you may have.
