I am very disappointed that I came here for my bed. I received a call 25 minutes into my delivery time informing me that my item could not be delivered as scheduled. The attempt was to redeliver at another day. I rearrange my schedule for the current date and shouldn’t have to take off from work for a redelivery. Buyer beware.

We went to Modern Home to look for furniture for our new place. We went in Sunday clothes, and do look a bit younger than we are, and were treated like we were not qualified enough to buy anything.
As a high end salesperson myself, that was strike one in my book. Strike two was the ridiculously rude and pushy lady that attempted to speak to us. She did not listen to any of our needs, and kept talking over us. Then she kept leaving us everytime she thought she saw someone that looked wealthier walk by. We loved some counter stools there, but needed to measure our counter in our new home first. She went so far as to say that she had a guy who could saw off the bottom if they ended up being too tall. Um, why couldn’t we just go home and measure first? She said they might not be available in the future. Ok, well we were moving in two weeks, not two years. Strike 2.
AND the prices were extremely inflated for bargaining. I’d rather just get a great bottom price rather than having to guess how much lower they can go. Everytime we tried to object or walk out the door another $ 50 came off the price, even after she’d already given us her «best price.» Strike 3.
I don’t typically write reviews unless I’ve bought something, but I was pretty disgusted with this experience. Not recommended.

We recently bought a Mobican king bedroom set ($ 3000) and sectional ($ 3000) from here. I think we got a good deal on the bedroom set considering what was quoted us at Design Studio for a similar style. We were able to negotiate the price of both purchases, and received about $ 500 (maybe a little more) off each. We also negotiated for free delivery and setup so that saved us a little bit more. Our salesman (Deprece) was very helpful and answered all our inquiries. Also, we didnt pay in full until we received our bedroom set. We paid 70% of the total at the time we placed the order; I’ve heard horror stories about furniture stores so I was weary about paying in full and they obliged. We’ve received our bedroom set but are still waiting on our sectional, which was a custom order. Once we receive our sectional, I’ll update this review. For the time being, I’m going to give this four stars. If everything goes smoothly with our sectional, I’ll give this place 5 stars. After shopping around, we learned that we would have to wait a couple of months for the pieces of furniture we wanted so we did place our order a few months before moving into our new place. If you want it «now» then I’m sure you can negotiate a good price for floor models.
Update: Got our couch and are very happy with it. Would definitely go back there.

Surprsing location. Huge store. Super helpful salesman. Some knock-​offs, some real designers. Not ultra-​cheesy, like some «modern» spots. Custom orders can take 6 weeks, though, so buy off the floor if you want it now.
