This morning I spoke with a pleasant woman about my current cleaning needs. After our phone consultation, I realized that this company wasn’t going to fit my needs and the woman was very nice and understanding. Within in the next 45 minutes, I received FOUR phone calls from Molly Maid. This company is way to aggressive for my liking! I can understand making a follow up call the next day or following week, but not 4 calls within minutes of me declining services. To me this is a poor reflection of their customer service. Take it down a notch Molly Maid, don’t stalk potential customers it’s a huge turn off!

I would NEVER recommend this service. I was a new customer and on the first visit our condo unit keys were lost(before entering our unit). Also, at the same cleaning 2 picture frames were busted. After a week they had the locks rekeyed but I had to go thru the hassle of replacing the picture frames(I actually had 10 matching frames on my wall so was forced to replace all). The Manager mentioned they would take care of all our hassle but that was never the case. I was charged in full for all the cleanings(First cleaning: $ 350, Second Mtly Cleaning: $ 120, Third Mtly Cleaning: $ 120) and even when I cancelled the service was not properly refunded. When I asked them if something would be done this was the response from the FRANCHISEOWNER: «I’m sorry all of this happened but his is what we have done so far(and of course it was our fault): Had your locks rekeyed, paid for 10 pictures frames.» The cleaning itself was OK, and I actually probably would have stuck around as a loyal customer even with the problems on the first cleaning. However, I don’t understand why they thought replacing all the things they broke /lost was the only thing they had to do. I had personally spent several hours dealing with all of this — my own time /$ to have get duplicate keys made, my time for the locks to be rekeyed, my time /gas to go to 3 stores(one of which was Ikea in the suburbs) to try and find matching frames so I wouldn’t have to replace all of them. I understand mistakes happen and that is why I was willing to give them another try. However, if you are going to charge me for the cleaning time, then why wasn’t I compensated for my time? The entire reason we hired cleaners is because I DON’T HAVETIME. If they came back and said we get 1 cleaning for the hassle, I would have stuck around. I hope the owner realizes this or they will not have many customers based on this type of service model. The last response with them, «sorry things didn’t work out…»

We used Molly Maids during our last months living in Chicago. They were thorough, fast, and careful with our furniture. We had cleaning services all over the country previously and Molly Maids, by far, had the best people working for them and made our home look sparkling new. I hope in our new home state(Vermont) we will find a cleaning service at least half as good as they are. We trusted them so much that we arranged for them to do our moveout clean and we never worried about going back to check up on the job they did. Not many service companies can boast of building up that kind of trust. We miss you Molly Maids!
