I have been a Chicago native my entire life, and I like to think I know a great beef sandwich, but Mr. C’s is a revelation. The beef is fresh and cooked to perfection, and they know the difference between ‘juicy’ and soggy! The service is A+ too, and Mr. C himself is a throwback to the good old days. He even told my little girl that it was Ok to have ketchup on her hotdog — «She’s just a kid — nobody gets hurt» — priceless! From the autographed sports pics on the walls to the TV stuck on WGN, this place is Chicago greatness — highly recommended!!!
