History

Established in 1955.

MTA Travel was strarted in 1955 by the Marsilje family. The agency has had multiple locations throughout MI and Chicago during it’s life time. The office location that still remains after all of these years is right here in the windy city. As of October 2011, the agency has joined with Protravel International and moved to the Fulton District. We remain the same service oriented boutique agency but have teamed up with Protravel to allow for an extended network of industry partners. We are excited about our new family and will continue to provide travel planning services for discerning travelers!

Meagan did a wonderful job planning our honeymoon! She helped us decide on the destination and scheduled activities during the trip. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. We went to the Great Barrier Reef and stayed at Hayman and it was beautiful. I really enjoyed relaxing on the beach (and snorkeling with fish on the reef!) before heading to Sydney for a few nights in the city. We stayed at the Four Seasons right on the harbor. It was a prefect location — in The Rocks, the first settlement in Australia. Meagan got us a great view of the Opera House from our room. If you’re looking for a warm honeymoon destination in December then Australia is perfect. And more importantly, if you’re looking for a reliable travel agent then contact Meagan.

My first experience with MTA travel was to plan my honeymoon to Tahiti and Bora Bora. Our travel agent Meagan was a joy to work with! She provided superior service, listened intently to our requests, and responded quickly when contacted. We tried a couple of agencies first, and Meagan was able to get us the best deal at amazing properties. She made sure the places were aware we were on our honeymoon and we got special treatment!
I have since used MTA Travel for my work travels. They just make my life too easy not to use them!
