I don’t know where to begin. Customer service say Whaaaaaaat? They have got none. I have been regular monthly meal customer and also order extra meal once a while mall for that price no doubt it’s a steal only if they serve properly portioned meal meaning bones are alright but wouldn’t be bad if not 2 but 1 chunk of meat comes with it. There’s no consistency in portions at all. Some times they don’t even hesitate to give old Roti. Make sure all the to go orders that you received whatever you paid for since they have tendency to forget. Usually if I skip to pick up a meal once a week, so the next day I’d pick two instead as long as you are not exceeding the number of meals in a month but recently change of policy without any notification that’s just plain stupidity. Regular customers deserved to be notified, put one sign up on the counter. Stuck with them for the rest of the month. Will be going somewhere else until the month is over.

Very cheap place for the Indian cuisine they offer here, look out for the day specials on the menu board.

They have severely decreased the portion size of Chicken 65, they probably give 60% of what they served before. It makes me sad that they give so much less now because $ 8 is not worth it for the amount the give you. They also boosted the prices on the platter by $ 2. One thing to note about the platter is that it’s inconsistent. For example, you’ll get two pieces of kabob one week, but the next week it will be replaced by chicken. The food is still delicious and still one of my favorites on Devon. But now, I think I’ll factor in other options. Besides this, you can read my previous reviews for more information.

An absolutely delicious, authentic place to get North Indian grub. The lamb biryani and ghost is absolutely divine with the perfect balance of flavor, spice, and texture. Vegetable korma is delectable and goes very well with naan. Served with yogurt and vegetable curry, the Indian flatbread combines nicely with any plate. Reasonably priced, authentic, and highly satisfying, let Naan on Devon be your spot for a quick bite or carryout!

Wanted Indian food so we thought, why not hit up Devon? We thought we would go up there(30 min drive from Little Italy), be spontaneous, not rely on Unilocal and just choose a restaurant. Well, after convincing each other that we should not trust ourselves in an unfamiliar neighborhood we both pulled up our Unilocal,as usual. Anyways, this place had 4 stars and we also wanted something hole in the wall so we came here. This place was very good. We ordered: Curry lamb– Very tasty Haleem– It was a Sunday special. We didn’t know what the heck it was but being the adventurous eater I am, I ordered it and loved it! Lamb chops– Very tender and it went great with the raw onions and naan. Biriyani Lamb– huge portion. Naan– Warm and huge. Yes, a lot of lamb tonight. Last but not least, will definitely return.

This restaurant largely serves for the meal plans for more than 200 people everyday. So I can say that its quite a famous restaurant. I have tried every dish and it is a good quality food. Except the fact that you cannot predict the type of food you will get when ordered. Just try ordering a vegetarian dish and you will find some chicken pieces into that. Sometimes you will find mutton in a chicken curry dish. Just keep your eyes open if you are looking for some veg stuffs.

Open late Very tasty food, not the cheapest on Devon but still decently price One time the server did not speak English that well and it was a bit frustrating because I think he was getting frustrated with me… but the food was insanely good so I’ll just go when he isn’t working. Large portions and lots of options. The dishes don’t come with rice, though, so a medium priced entrée with bread or naan and a drink can cost $ 8-$ 10

Great Authentic hyderabad food. I have tried a lot of different restaurants on Devon but they all put a lot of spices… it tastes like they put every masala in the cabinet but naan on devon food tastes like something you would make at home with a limited amount of spices. The place is clean but getto… dont go in there expecting a great service … all you will get is great food at a gud price.

The food was tasty I wanted to order vegetable pakoras and he said no appetizer. Unusual for a Saturday night. My nephew ordered butter chicken and after about 20min the waiter came out and said nope don’t have it. Service was poor, and I can honestly say the little basket on the table where community silverware is kept is dirty and the silverware is not wrapped individually so anyone sitting at the table is touching your silverware which is pretty gross.

All I can say is don’t judge this book by its cover! Had dinner catered for 25 and asked Mr. Sami to suggest the menu and dessert. Every item we had was not only phenomenal, but it was plenty for the 25 people. Take my advice and forget the menu; tell them what you like and ask them to suggest your order. Give the following items a try or ask them for their daily special: Mutton Biryani(Lamb Rice) Chicken 65(Chicken w/Red Gravy) Chicken Boti(Grilled Chicken) Almond Kheer(Dessert) Naan

Recently I checked this spot out with a friend. «Harold and Kumar» We hit it in the early morning hours, I think it was about 5:30 or 6 am when we sat at a table. Restaurants of this caliber can sometimes be found working all around the clock or up till 7 am, or just starting for the day from early morning hours. These«hotels» as they are called in India which are what we Americans would call diners. Or as I like to call«Cabbie hotels» because you can often find Cabbie’s dining here, also because of the hours you might run into a few H1b visa college students(International students). A few quick details: Service stunk. Food was okay. Biriyani was too damn expensive & had more bones than meat. Still only a few pieces. Service stunk. Others that arrived after us received their items before us. It was obvious that speaking the language gets you quicker service. Or perhaps I have it wrong and those guys, I mean all of those guys were regulars. But really how long does it take to microwave some food? Their version of Butter Chicken was probably one of the best dishes we had of what we ordered. I don’t think it was Butter Chicken though, it was an off shoot but the guy wasn’t too descriptive of anything, so whatever it was, it was decent. We hit this place after a night of painting the town red as they say. I mention this because after a long night(weeknight) of being out, we want to eat something that will fill the stomach and hopefully put us down nicely for the few hours of sleep we can salvage before going to work the following afternoon. Above I mentioned a few times that service stunk. It did. Not only that but it was as if they made us wait till they served everyone else. At 6 am, sitting at a diner dive, food should not take fifty minutes. All the items except the bread were reheated, for sure! I was still in an intoxicated manner, so, like any irritated person might, I started singing Lil’ John’s — Get Low. Specifically the line«Sweat drops off my balls». I was trying to get my buddy to realize that no one was paying attention to us. Which they weren’t. Looking back, I laugh about it and it was pretty funny. I was LOUD. Needless to say, the $ 30 something dollars we overspent here was not worth the effort.

Recently went here with some friends with a simple desire for naan and/or samosas. And boy did we get some naan. The staff wasn’t entirely friendly, nor were they rude, rather they were just rather busy than anything else. Anywho, the food was prepared fresh but rather fast and damn was is delicious. I got the chicken biryaki, one of my friends got curry, and my girlfriend got a spinach and cheese thing that I can’t remember the name of, and then we all got naan. Everything was simply fantastic, very filling, and all very cheap to, with my meal coming out at only about $ 7. Then naan itself is huge and only 75 cents which I recommend above all else. Also their hours are from 2PM till 7Am making it a great late night munchie destination. P. S. Watch out for the bones. The meat fall right off but sometimes it slips into your food and gives you a tad bit of a surprise. Definitely recommend.

Call me too American, but I’m not a fan. I can’t eat meat on bones. Its just an issue I have, it grosses me out. Anyway, I was on Devon getting my eyebrows done and started craving chicken tikka. I never knew it would be so hard to find! After walking about 10 blocks, I found Naan. Ok, sounds Indian enough. I went in to be welcomed by a big sign saying«none has the right to be worshiped except Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.» I just want my chicken tikka, not some religious intervention! I don’t even think the owners were Indian because they were definitely speaking Arabic and were very light skinned. Anyway I waited and waited for it, while the worker brought out food for everyone but me. Finally when I got it, I had missed my bus. Fail! By the time I arrived home, I reeked of onions(they literally put a whole onion in the box). I opened it and noticed these big chicken legs covered in red crust. It wasn’t too bad, but something I probably would never eat again. I just didn’t like the way I was treated. Obviously they were treating me this way because I didn’t look like them or speak Arabic. For all they knew, I’m half Lebanese. The 2 chicken legs and the whole white onion came out to about $ 7. For that kind of money I’ll go get knock-off Indian elsewhere.

First, let me be clear, the food tasted great, in fact the lamb chops were seasoned to perfection. And for 6.99 it’s a steal. And I would give this place 5 stars was it not for the black curly hair sticking to my third lamb chop. But the chops were so good, I took it off, and finished the chop. Spicy and hot. Delish. HAIRNETS guys! Also, I kinda feel that this place does not cater to anyone except the local Indo-Pak population, and that this hair was placed there on purpose, as I am not Indian or Pakistani. I hope they didn’t put anything else in there that didn’t belong there. Kinda want to go back there, but that hair is haunting me!!!

This place is a hidden gem that is worth more than 5 stars when it comes to food. Try their rice and daal or tandoori fish. Now the reason why I removed one star was because: 1: They don’t have public washroom. 2: Tables are usually never clean. 3: Service can be very slow. 4: Parking in that area is nearly impossible. Also, they are open from 2PM to 7AM. Very good spot to get some good Indian food late at night. Not a reccomended spot for first few dates but great for couples who are seeking good food for 2 under $ 20. That if you tip them $ 6. Menu changes every 4 – 6 hours and depends on chef’s mood. Just ask for whatever is fresh.

I found this place on accident and love it. It’s VERY small and easy to overlook. If you are seeking an authentic experience, this is the place to go. Nothing is fancy… at all. The menu is written with a marker on a poster board. I’ve never been to India or Pakistan, but I honestly thought I was there when I walked in. There is no fluff in this place. The portions are huge and it’s rather cheap. The last time I went there, I had the biryani plate for $ 4.00. The plate came with basmati rice, naan, with biryani. The do have several combination plates and specials. But, as cheap as they are, they really don’t need a special. They are open later than most of the other restaurants on Devon and worth making stop. Just look hard because it’s easy to overlook.
