Dr. Cross is the best Chiropractor I have ever been too. My wife found him through a search that was close to our house. I was treated by several Chiropractors in the past for neck/​back spasms and was always put on a plan. The plan never worked and I would eventually leave the Chiropractor. Dr. Cross taught me that you cannot be healed by a fixed number of visits and that each injury is dependent upon the person who was injured. My wife and I have since moved to a different state, but have not come across a Chiropractor as good as Dr. Cross.

Hands down, Dr. Cross is the best Chiropractor in the city! I have had chiropractic adjustments off and on since college, but always ended up feeling suckered or cheated by the really expensive supplements or ever increasing frequency of visits to achieve my desired results. He is the first Chiropractor that I have consistently gone to now for over 7 years.
Dr. Cross takes the time to really listen to your concerns and adjusts based on symptoms and a through examination… NOT here hold this supplement and and according to my very subjective assessment it appears to increases the strength in your right arm when I push it down, so I’m gonna adjust the region that is connected to your liver. It makes so much more sense in my mind that you would adjust based on sight, touch, and your patients concerns as opposed to holding herbs.
That being said, the good doctor, will offer gentle suggestions that may better your health, but he is not pushy. I never feel like he is judging me because I eat gluten, drink milk, or enjoy shellfish… I actually got worse under the care of one chiropractor because he would stress me out about such things

I twisted my right ankle while shopping in the Chicago area. But, like most of us I reached for a bottle of NSAIDs and when the pain subsided I didn’t give it another thought. However, when the pain recurred, I booked an appointment with Dr. Mitch of the Optimal Health Chiropractic Ltd.
After taking a careful and thorough history he prescribed a course of treatment. The results, I am pleased to say, were immediate. The intermittent «pain» I had felt in my ankle is gone and with continued exercise and stretching it is reasonable to expect that it will not be an issue going forward.
I can’t tell you how pleased I have been with the services provided by Dr. Mitch. He has been very friendly and welcoming. I have never felt such a genuine concern as I have from Dr. Mitch. He is great and gives me a wealth of information and advice on how to expedite my recovery. I went to another chiropractic about 10 years ago and it was a night and day difference. They made me feel like a number not a person. I thought that’s just what chiropractors are like. After seeing Dr. Mitch I realized this was not the case. I will be recommending this clinic to everyone I know.

I’m new to Chicago and recently visited Optimal Health for the first time. The saturation of chiropractors in this part of town is wildly overwhelming, so I did what any normal person would do: I chose the one nearest to my apartment.
And I got lucky.
I’ve been treated by a few chiropractors over the past 8 years or so, and Dr. Mitch is by far the most thorough. On my first visit, I expected a swift neck adjustment and a few hefty taps with the activator to tide me over until the pain came back, which is what my previous chiropractor always did. My experience here was quite different.
The initial consultation was excellent — the office was quiet and there were no other patients looming, so I had the doctor’s full attention. He asked me where the pain was, what it felt like, how often it was happening, whether anything I did made it better or worse, how bad it got when it was at its worst, what it felt like now, etc. He also asked whether I was comfortable with having neck adjustments. I felt like he really took the time to understand the issues rather than just slapping on a Band-​Aid and shoving me out the door.
Next, he took me into an adjustment room where I spent a blissful few minutes with a heat pad on my back. His adjustments (at least, in my case) were manual, and he spent a lot of time before the adjustments determining where my ribs (and everything else) were lining up. Afterward, he helped me with some stretches. I was really impressed with the amount of care, attention and time he afforded me.
Remarkably, unlike my previous chiropractors, Dr. Mitch didn’t «recommend» that I come back three times a week for six months or any other ridiculousness for people with infinite time and money. Instead, he helped me to narrow down the likely root cause of my head/​neck/​shoulder pain and suggested modifying my posture SO THAT I WOULDN’T NEED TO COME IN AS OFTEN. He didn’t pressure me to make another appointment or offer anything unnecessary.
Dr. Mitch’s greatest asset, though, is that he’s a great communicator, both in terms of the treatment he provides and in general. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun hanging out in a doctor’s office. It was like spending time with a friend.
I can recommend Optimal Health to anyone who wants thorough, friendly and effective treatment without the scare tactics that other chiropractors use in order to siphon your money.
