History

Established in 2014.

Paleo Scavenger was launched in June 2014 with the mission to share our tasty, paleo snacks with the world. We struggle to find paleo-​friendly snacks when we’re on-​the-​go which often turns into what feels like a scavenger hunt. We know others share this problem, so we started selling our paleo granola at local events in Chicago, Illinois.

About two years ago, as I was training for a half marathon, I started eating a Paleo diet because of its many health benefits (i.e. more energy, faster recovery, etc.), but it was challenging to find Paleo-​friendly snacks. So instead of searching for Paleo snacks at the store, I began making my own. I carried my granola with me in sandwich bags for a quick, easy snack any time of day. As I shared it with family and friends, many suggested that I package and sell it. If I’m having this problem, then others must be too. At least that was the thought. So, with my several years of experience in the food industry, and start-​up energy fueling me… I decided to quit my corporate job and go for it!
