«Giardiniera and beef» pizza is A. MAZE. ING. The bacon made people super happy also. The delivery came with a magnet and was quick. The crust has a great crisp to it. The cartoon map of Italy on the box was informative. Who knew Naples was on the west coast… Not me! Watch out for the volcano in Pompeii. Oh yeah, the pizza was really good.

This place needs to get it together. There’s gotta be a way to notify customers when their pizza is going to be 2 – 3 hours late, considering it happens often… but waiting 2+ hours and calling to find out our pizza isn’t on the way but made it to someone else is just mindblowing. Had we not called, I think we would have been waiting all night… considering they thought we got our pizza. I understand mistakes, busy nights, low staff. life happens… but this isn’t the first time and I feel stupid for even trying this place again when I knew what to expect.

Pizza is alright but over priced. Service and (lol) delivery leave much up to the imagination.
Oh and if they do make a mistake don’t even bother calling them about it.

First the positives. I really enjoy the thin crust, mushroom Sausage or pepperoni. Good balance of cheese and sauce. I’ll stick with the pizza.
On the lasagna, it was just weak. The meat, the sauce and cheese. None of it worked. Meat was bland and the cheese didn’t help. The sauce sure doesn’t seem like the same as the pizza sauce. The garden salad was iceberg lettuce, green pepper slices, a few slices of mushroom and a well under riped tomato. It was obvious very obvious. Salad dressing equally crap. A pack of Kraft salad dressing. The cannoli. I asked if it had crunch or was soft (shell) because prestuffed it gets soft. They assured me it was crunchy. It certainly was not. It’s bought like most items on the menu from Sysco or whoever their food distributor is. I now feel much of the items are bought from the food distributor cooked and served. Time to strive harder.
I called to echo my disappointment to the manager and she said. I’ll be sure to let them know. No offers or resolution to regain my confidence. And that’s a goodbye.
Stick to the pizza.

My God! Ordered delivery on a cold day, did not expect much, I confess, only to be pleasantly surprised. BEST veal parmigiana I’ve ever had. Fast and friendly delivery. Will order again!

Owner asked for my debit card PIN number to process my order. I refused and stated that I would come around back like I have before to enter my PIN. Owner then proceeded to argue with me. Buyer beware. This is how fraud happens.

Love the great pizza, Never tried any of the other menu items.
They always hand out coupons with every order which is great.

Well someone screwed up. I placed my order at 6:23pm was told should take 25 minutes. Arrived at 6:47 Right now it’s about 7:20pm no pizza in my hands. No one even bothered to inform me that the pizza was not even put into the oven until I just arrived. I wouldn’t be upset if they’d only have told me there was a mishap. Instead of making me stand there and wait like an idiot.
Pizza is good, don’t get me wrong. But what happened to the girl who always greeted you with a smile and was kind even when you were leaving?. I’m sure she would have told me there was a mishap.

Ordered hawaiin pizza from the internet menu. Went to pick up and price was almost 3 dollars more. Asked why the diff. Price I got attitude. At the same time ano
ther person complained she was overcharged also. Customer service is not good. I will be using Phils pizza from now on.

Good pizza, but a little overpriced.

Ordered 2 BREADED chicken sandwiches and a pizza. Well, the delivery came and the receipt stated grilled. Called. Was told that they would bring us the sandwiches, we live a block away. It has now been two hours since I originally placed the order and an hour since I called. Customer service over the phone is ridiculous. Girls are very rude. It’s a shame, this is the third time they’ve messed up on my order but I have kept giving them chances. I will not be returning.

Don’t waste your time or money. No customer service! Been ordering for years. Recently called to order wings and asked for no drumettes. Was told they can’t do that??? How hard is to separate the flat wings from the drumettes??? Well they have just lost a long time customer!!! I guess they don’t realize that there are quite a lot of places that do accommodate customer’s requests.
By the way I called 5 other pizza places, incl Papa Johns, and none had any problems with my request.

All I can say is thank you Unilocal!I live in the neighborhood and never thought of ordering pizza from Papa Joes before! (shame on me). My family and I have always been Phil’s pizza people, but recently food and customer service went down the drain in that establishment.
Desperate for a quick pizza fix, Papa Joes was the first pizza place to pop up in my Unilocal search. When I called in to place my order I actually couldn’t believe how nice and pleasant the girl taking my order was. Its sad when you are used to rude, speed talking people take your order over the phone :((Phil’s pizza).
Nonetheless our pizza arrived and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. The thin crust did not disappoint. Half cheese half pepperoni no frills pizza hit the spot. Safe to say Papa Joes is my new go to pizza joint.

The pizza is really good, a bit overpriced but, still good. The customer service is HORRIBLE! Over the last 10 years we’ve probably ordered between 200 – 250 pizzas. Most of the time everything is fine but, today was not one of those times. Our order took 1:45 to get to us after being told that it would be an hour. At about the 70 minute mark, we called to find out what the status of the order was and it was still there! We asked if we would get anything off since we order from there a lot and it was already over the hour mark and the phone girl said, «We weren’t going to.» She asked a manager and they gave loyal customers $ 1.80 off! Thank you??? We waited for the pizza to get here and after it did, I called and asked to talk to the manager or the owner. When I was transferred from the girl who answered the phone to another lady I asked who I was speaking with after I introduced myself and she replied, «Someone who works here!» Finally I found out that her name was «Jessica» and she professed to be a manager. After I explained the situation to her she said that the owner only OK’d a 15% discount and that I could call back in 2 weeks when the owner would be available. 2 weeks??? I let «Jessica» know that it was not an acceptable option and that we would be taking our business elsewhere.
Long story short, they don’t care about their customers, even long time, loyal customers.

Ummmm. Ordered a pizza over 2 hours ago. Where is it? Called twice already. It’s on the way. And it’s NOT what I ordered.
Food finally arrived. Got charged for a sausage and pepperoni pizza and I got a cheese. They are refusing to comp or even take the difference off the bill.
DONE!

It was extremely mediocre at best. The meat on their pizza burger reminded me unpleasantly of the cafeteria fare I had in high school. The broccoli soup was thick and unfavorable. The bread for the burger and with the soup reminded me of wonder bread. Serving sizes were below average in comparison to competitors in the local area.
I’ve had their pizza before and that too was average at best. There are better places in the local area.

All of our orders from Papa Joe’s have arrived hot and on time. I really hope Papa Joe’s doesn’t change a thing. We’ve been so disappointed with our local pizza take– out locations, but after 3 – 4 orders from PJ’s, we are hooked.
I’ve driven past PJ’s and it’s a small space, two tables that I wonder if people even eat at or are if the tables more for folks waiting for their orders.
Our usual order is the thin crust sausage and mushroom, but we’ve also had their «Fantastic Four» pizza – sausage, pepperoni, mushroom and black olives. We loved them both. Nice sturdy, yet thin crust, flavorful sauce, good sauce to crust ratio and good serving of toppings – no bald spots!
Their fried calamari is really good too. It really holds up during the travel time and still arrives hot and a little crispy (LOVE). Their cocktail sauce is really good too – I’d swear there’s a little BBQ sauce in it too, but not sure, it’s just really good.
A few days after our orders, I always receive coupons in the mail from them thanking us for our order. I’ve never ever had that kind of customer service from a pizza joint.

I’ve been having Papa Joe’s pies now for just about a year. I’ve pretty much had every specialty they offer. Do yourself a favor and skip your boring cheese/​sausage or pepperoni unimaginative creation. Joe’s offers a well done Hawaiian which most people I know stay away from to a packed meat lovers. If you want to venture out some more I recommend the Western, Ranchero, and Bacon Burger. All three my personal favorites. They blend the ingredients perfectly and I applaud the onions being thoroughly cooked and not crunchy. The Western has a bbq sauce and the Ranchero has a ranch based sauce. They are all damn good. They’re so good I never bother checking out their dishes which may be an injustice but I’ll continue to be ignorant… for now.
I’ve only had delivery and have yet to encounter any mishaps or rude service. Also I’ve learned that the location has been remodeled and looks good but it is small.
I always look forward to Joe’s pizza even on those weekends where all I had was pizza everyday during the week. My only beef is that there isn’t a location near Logan Square and it’s definitely not in delivery range. Good thing Jefferson Park is like a second neighborhood for me.
