I cannot even believe the service especially because of the other reviews here. I rarely leave a bad comment on a store but they were rude as can be. I really like the idea of a neighborhood paint store but I cannot justify the high prices if they cant be friendly.

Great selection and incredible customer service. I’ve painted every room in the house with colors from here (about 8 rooms thus far). They’ve offered advice on color selection (and I’ve loved all of their recommendations) as well as type of paint and application tips. The staff is incredibly friendly and someone always offers to carry the paint out to my car.

The top two reasons to go to Paulson’s Paints are great customer service and they carry «green» products that are hard to find elsewhere. However, there are more.
My husband and I are doing some DIY jobs in our house, and I seem to be spending a lot of time here this summer. Paulson’s has kind of a Cheers feeling — everyone knows everyone there. Painters come in and out getting their supplies (they get a discount), vendors are dropping off shipments, customers are checking out window treatments and color samples. I like that there are absolutely no pressure sales tactics, just people who know their products. We were pleased to be able to get Ready-​Strip, and all low and no VOC paints here. They also have a list of local recommended painters and will give you commentary about that list.
We also purchased blinds here, and the customer service was top-​notch. There is no fee for a visit for blinds, and Sue came to our house, no problem, to help me pick them out and measure. Since she had also come out to help me pick out my room colors ($ 35/​hr charge, but I’m hopeless with a wide choice) she was great at helping me pick out a perfect color match between the trim and the blinds. It looks awesome.
Finally, I would just like to point out that you are not going to get the same level of service at a box store (e.g. Home Depot) — no way. The employees here care about your experience and want you to come back… and so we do!
Tip: They offer «good, better and best» quality for both paints and blinds so be specific about what you want and they will find you the best deal for you.
