After calling several other salons for a mani/pedi and none of them working out, I was able to schedule an appointment with Kaly(like– an «I’ll be there in 15 minutes» appointment, so basically a walk-in). She was very nice and accommodating. I chose the $ 35 no-chip mani/pedi, and she did an incredible job! I sat in a massage chair and read magazines while my feet soaked in warm water. Then she scrubbed my feet with an exfoliating scrub and gave them a mini-massage. Finally, she wrapped my feet and hands in hot towels before she started painting. The color I chose looks great, and it is very smooth! She also gave me a punch card for 6 manicures to get the 7th free!

Absolutely five star! The shop owner’s daughter does the nails. I found this place through groupon and I’m glad I did. She’s extremely friendly, she offers you magazines, something to drink etc. Also if my nine year old is with she let’s him hang out on the massage chairs and puts something on tv for him. The prices are the lowest I’ve seen and yet the quality and the job she does is wonderful. I’ve brought my mom, sister and friends to her and they where all impressed as well. Every other nail shop I’ve been to in the city there’s always a long wait, unfriendly people working in them, and high prices. This is definitely the place to go!

I visited this place yesterday after scoring a pretty sweet Groupon– $ 14 for a mani/pedi! I was a little wary at first for their lack of any online reviews or social media, but I decided to go for it anyway. I called at around 2pm and was able to make an appointment for 5:30pm the same day. The salon is in a bit of dated strip shops just west of Lincoln Avenue on Peterson, next to a furniture store with some really classy and current home furnishings(not really). The salon itself is on par for what I expect from typical nail salons in Chicago– brightly painted walls, some wood paneling and a tile floor. This salon does hair services as well, so the front of the store is amassed by styling and blowdrying chairs. There are 2 pedicure chairs and one manicure station at the back of the salon, along with 2 wall shelves of essie and OPI polishes. I am a huge essie fan, so I was excited to see this salon carrying them, as not all of the places I have experienced through Groupon do. I was directed to pick out my color as the technician ran water for my pedi. The chairs seemed new and in great working condition– with their foray into Groupon and rock-bottom regular prices, I wonder if nail services are new to this salon? I sat down in the pedi chair and was pointed to some magazines on an adjoining table while the technician hit«start» on the massage chair and I soaked my feet. The tech got right to work on my toes, and she did a pretty good job! My only complaint about the pedicure is that this salon doesn’t use any type of cuticle softener; oil was used instead, which does an adequate job, but not the best. I read People magazine, caught up on facebook and watched some Jeopardy! while the technician did her work. The highlight of my pedi was the massage; honestly, one of the best and lengthiest I have had in quite some time! After my feet were cleaned up and toes polished, I was ushered over to the lone manicure station. The pedicure took about 30 minutes. The manicure was pretty basic; again, the lack of cuticle softener was a miss. The water in the soak wasn’t warm at all, either. Next time, I’ll ask for it to be hotter. The tech didn’t talk to me through the whole experience except to ask if I lived nearby and to ask if I had a Groupon. This is completely fine with me, though, as I enjoy not having to make small talk while I relax. My nails were soaked, trimmed, scrubbed, buffed, lotioned and painted in about 20 minutes. I sat at the drying station for 10 minutes, during which time, the tech brought over a punch card for future visits, a price sheet and coupons for me to take home. I looked over it as I dried, and WOW– this place offers a mani/pedi for $ 25 Mon-Wed, no-chip manis for $ 20, and a no-chip mani-pedi for $ 35, WITHOUTCOUPON! Those are superb deals, when considering a no-chip mani around the corner from my house costs $ 25, and a no-chip pedi is $ 40. All in all, a good experience. I think with a few adjustments, this place is going to do amazingly well. There is still a Groupon available today for $ 14 for one mani-pedi and $ 27 for two mani-pedis… maybe I can convince my husband to buy me another for future use?
