Pista House

D’oh — this place is closed, and most likely has been for at least a few weeks. I’ll have mostly good memories based on my handful of visits.
5 stars for nostalgia …

Unfortunately this place is CLOSED!!!

Just as I suspected, the food is banging. Well, at least the chili chicken is. The yogurt sauce it’s served with is a nice cool down for the heat that’s it packin too.

My first impression of the restaurant was wow when was the last time they cleaned this joint. The restaurant is kind of cramped with seating for 32 in a small space. One thing I did not like was having to sit next to the register and having a line of people close enough to me where they were basically breathing on me as they waited. A new layout plan should be explored.
As I always do, I wash my hands before eating. There is a small sink in the «dinning room» next to the drink cooler which was kind of funny since I haven’t seen that before, but don’t worry if you need to use the wash room they have one back through the kitchen.
Now to the important stuff, the food. The Gyro paratha was delicious and had the right amount of spice with a large amount of naan. Definitely in my top 5. The Lamb and Chicken Biryani was also very good, but they were not boneless. They also offer 5 samosas for .99 cents! We had two orders and were only given 8 instead of the 10, but we were so full by the end we didn’t even care plus its was only two dollars.
Overall the food was good but not great enough to overlook the restaurants overcrowding or dirtiness. I would probably eat here again if I’m in a rush and just looking for a quick/​cheap bite to eat.

We stopped by for a quick afternoon snack of samosa. They were fantastic and a great deal. The owner even made them fresh right in front of us. I’ve never had such a fresh, tasty samosa before. The rest of their menu also made our mouths water. We will definitely come back soon!
