Want a cheap meal in the Bucktown neighborhood? Look no further, Plazzio’s is the place. They got daily specials that are to resist with a plentiful menu that extends further than just pizza and fries. Nice little spot.

Decided to order a pie for my hungry boyfriend. Delivery didn’t take long but his«margherita» pizza… didn’t look very appetizing. I’m very dissatisfied. It was my first and last time ordering from this spot.

It’s open late and the price is right. I wasn’t impressed by the slice of cheese, but it did the job! The TVs were rather loud but the place did seem well-kept.

Cheap, simple, tasty slices. Sure, it’s nothing fancy but you’re paying $ 5 for a couple slices and a drink — The tastiness you get in return is more than worth the money you spend. Every employee I’ve interacted with here has been super friendly — my boyfriend and I live across the street, so we stop in fairly often and have commented multiple times on how nice the employees are.

Great hamburgers. Very affordable prices. My co_workrr also bought the pasta and it was huge. Next time we gonna share to cut bill in half. best around the neighborhood

This place is a nice last minute or late dinner spot. Although i like their burgers, i am not at all a fan of their fried calamari! That was what i ordered to try this time. You might ask, why would i get calamari from there?! You’re right, but who knows, i believe you stumble upon the best when u least expect it… I didn’t this time. Not at all! I kinda got worried i was going to get sick while in the middle of eating it. I didn’t get sick, but i never got to finish it, either.

I had the pizza yesterday it wasn’t good want nasty just ok nothing to brag about way over priced for that food mozzarella sticks were kinda good and decent Portion size. The inside is a total hole in the wall joint which I don’t mind sometimes because they have some of the best food but not this place

Zero stars. An hour and 45 minutes after ordering on a Tuesday night and food is still not here. Woman at restaurant who was supposed to call 10 minutes ago, 30 minutes ago is not answering the phone. First and last time ordering from here – don’t waste your time. Order from somewhere else.

I’ve been eating here for 15 yrs so I guess I’m a little biased. Their pizza was great then and they haven’t changed a thing. Keep it up Plazzios!

Who doesn’t like some nice crispy BBQ chicken? This place seemed ok, nothing special, but I decided to try it out anyway. I ordered the bbq chicken & ribs combo with another side of 4 specifically bbq wings(because I know restaurants usually don’t put bbq on the chicken, just the ribs). Delivery came rather quick. When I got back to my apartment is where things went awry. I hadn’t eaten anything all day and it was getting late, but they didn’t put any bbq sauce on ANY of the chicken and the half slab of ribs was barely brushed with it! So I had to call the store and the guy was polite and asked if I wanted the whole order redone or just send over bbq sauce. I didn’t know how much bbq sauce he considered«enough» and also didn’t want the delivery guy coming back out just for bbq sauce so I told him to redo the chicken order and I’ll return the one I received. Delivery guy came back about 20 minutes later with the right order this time. By now my stomach was howling and I ran upstairs to rip into some good food. The ribs were nice and tender, but they added too much rub so it was caked on. Chicken was soaked in sauce which I love, but the sauce wasn’t all that great. Chicken was flavorful and extra crispy too, another favorite of mine. Ribs had a nice flavor once you got past the caked on rub. The next day I was running to the bathroom for awhile so I’m assuming it had something to do with the food here which it loses points for. Definitely a solid 3⁄5 since nothing stands out about this place, just your slightly above average cheap food joint.

Plazzio’s is one of the few pizza by the slice places in the Wicker Park and Logan Square areas. With a prime location right next to the Western Blue Line stop, Plazzio’s is a nice family owned quick serve restaurant. They have everything from pizza and fries, to salad and pasta. They always have new York style pizza by the slice available and fountain drinks. They have sparse seating inside and picnic tables outside during the summer. They are not open late so you won’t be able to stop by here for your fourth meal. I wonder if they have ever had later hours and how their business would fair in this time slot. As this area becomes more popular I would imagine this business will continue to be successful.

The pizza(weighing price vs. taste) is a solid 3.75/ 5. But the hours(considering they’ve closed at least 15 mins before the stated time) is a −6.65÷5. They have disappointed me far too many times to be recommended.

It’s convenient and it will fill the late night void, but that’s it. They are obviously not even trying to be anything other than an L station stopover. Place is old, messy and does not«want» your business. Pizza is fair at best.

(1) It’s open.(2) It probably won’t kill you. Thus ends the list of reasons to eat at Plazzio’s. You’d expect bad pizza from a late-night hole-in-the-wall under the L, but this place drags«awful» down to a new low. If $ 2.35 for one flat slice weren’t enough of a horror, then you can have it cold to boot. Or if you’d prefer, reheated on a styrofoam plate. Your plate is now more melted than your cheese. The owner serves it up with a smile, either oblivious to his edible crimes, or thrilled that he gets away with each one. At least it’s clean in here, hence my confidence that you won’t actually die.

Went here for lunch. They have Fresca to drink… yay. They have a family style pizza with a ton of toppings for a decent price… yay. They have friendly staff… yay. Cheesesticks were better than the ones in some restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised with this place and will definitely be back. The patrons inside seamed to be regulars and all knew one another. It was a great lunch date. The pizza was cooked perfect, crispy crust, and fresh toppings… yay. Bike parking on the street.

Place is kinda dingy and old looking. My hubby got the pizza and i had a chicken salad. I took a bite of the pizza and i thought it was gross, the hubby didn’t finish it. The salad was ok, i didn’t find anything to complain about, but then again i didn’t find anything to brag about either. Chicago is full of restaurants that can serve a great salad, i won’t be wasting my time to come back to this hole in the wall.

Plazzio’s is no frills kind-of-place. Simple, cheap and good fast food. They offer whole Pizzas and slices, Ribs, Shrimp, Pasta and every kind of Sandwich imagined. The service is speedy and the prices are affordable. If I am in a hurry I will grab some Pizza slices to go, but if I have time I will sit down and eat their delicious Italian Beef sandwich. I get it wet with hot peppers. Fresh bread, tender beef, melted mozzarella, flavorful jus and hot pepper for a kick. A delicious package all for around $ 4. Just go there already and quit reading this review.

Being home in Chicago for a weeks for the holidays, I had an opportunity to visit some of my favorite places to eat and drink… About a week ago, I ate at Harry Caray’s downtown and had what was, then, the most delicious Italian beef sandwich I’d ever had — I highly recommend it. About 2 hours ago, I was suggesting to a buddy, his roommate and girlfriend with his roommate simply asking the question –are you prepared to challenge that statement? After a quick review, he produced Plazzio’s phone number and a quick description of the sandwich. I definitely had to check out the reviews of this place before confirming an order, so I jumped on Unilocal and read mixed reviews about the pizza but nothing on the italian beef. Suspicions arose, and finally after being convinced from his only other suggestion to me(Smoque BBQ), I conceded and we ordered… About 25 minutes later and $ 26 for 4 sandwiches(and a free 2 liter of RC Cola!?!) I entered sandwich heaven. Freakin awesome. I’ve had portillo’s, Mr Beef, Philippe’s(in LA), and everything else under the sun but this was phenomenally better. Can’t comment to the pizza, but if you’re looking for a great Italian beef in Wicker Park /Bucktown, give Plazzio’s a shot.

Update. New management. Food excellent for fast food and lots of other cuisine. It’s fast food but highest qualify for that genera. Double pick up time
