I usually dont review chain restaurants because they are usually consistent everywhere but this one had such good service in the lunchtime rush that I though it deserved a shout out. Someone will come and get your order from you while you are in line and payment /delivery of food all very speedy and to my liking

Not the greatest Potbelly. Those little tste flies or whatever dampened my experience. Also not a great idea to have the cleaner swabbing down the tables with a bleach solution while people are there during the lunch rush. With a couple of bites left, I packed up and left. Probably a carryout spot at best.

Perfect! The meatball sandwich w/onions and season, paired with a side a macaroni topped w/hot peppers and mushroom was to die for. Even better, they’re right over the river, so if you sit upstairs yu get a great view. They get very very crowded at lunch, but you could order ahead on the app. Great customer service and decent seating options. Oh, and the location is prime for those of us who work and play n the loop. All and all, I will definitely be back!

The sandwiches are great, but the lady that works there with the giant fake eye lashes and the Miss Cleo headwrap is the worst. It’s a running joke throughout our office of how miserable she is.

I went here for the first time today excited to get my Chicken Salad Salad as I’ve gotten the salad many times from other Potbelly establishments. I walked in and was greeted by a man who was friendly and had an awesome personality to take my order. I really liked him. He took my order and I waited in line. The musician playing I was vibing, she was good. I was still excited until I got my salad. I was shocked to see a very small scoop of chicken salad. I’ve never gotten that small of an amount with this salad. When I went to checkout, I made the cashier aware of this. His response was«It’s an extra .75 for more chicken salad». I was shocked. He didn’t check with his manager or anything but kept repeating about paying more. He then told me «you can get more» and I told him«let me guess, I have to pay for it, right?» and he was like«yes». My excitement went to pure frustration like I as a customer didn’t matter. I looked forward to getting my receipt so I could go on the website to fill out a survey of my frustrating experience today. Guess what? Change given, no receipt. Thus, my review. My chicken salad was gone way before the rest of the salad was gone which shouldn’t be. I will not be back. The two stars were only for the order taker and musician. A shame.

Extremely rude and disrespectful employees. This will be the last time I ever buy a sandwich at Potbelly. Everyone from the sandwich maker to the cashier had attitude. This horrific experience occurred around 11 am on 11/29/2013. I would not recommend this location and hope no one EVER attends this poorly run establishment.

Fast service, clean, typical Pot Belly. No complaints here– my two friends and I were served quickly with happy faces. I always have a pizza sandwich(the original, no meat just mushrooms, cheese and sauce) on a flatbread. All the yummy toppings– had me a yummy strawberry milkshake too! Love me some Potbelly!

We came here for a quick bite before exploring the city. I got a cream soda which I haven’t had in forever and the turkey sandwich with broccoli cheddar soup. Everything was so delicious! Hubby got the roast beef and was happy he decided to get the large instead of the small sandwich. We finished everything and was perfectly full.

My office had another catered lunch from Potbelly. Coming from out of town, I was curious about a place with the name Potbelly, but quickly, after being around the city, I realized that Potbelly Sandwich Shop was a franchise. Nevertheless, the food was ok. I remember having two halves of different sandwiches. These sandwiches were definitely juicy. The bread tasted fresh and the sandwiches were warm. I was pleasantly surprised, but the sandwiches were kind of plain. I couldn’t tell the difference between one sandwich from another. Sometimes, the sandwiches would get a little too wet. However, for the convenience of this place, it’s better and probably healthier than McDonalds and tastier than Subway. I can’t say I have much of a desire to go to another Potbelly Sandwich shop, but at least now I know they serve some decent sandwiches.

I LOVEPOTBELLY’S! We came on a weekend, which apparently is the slow time, and tried the Wreck. Sandwich was filled with meat and veggies and tasted super great from the toaster. Price is right, service was good and belly left full. Yes!

Another amazing sandwich. Toasted to perfection with great bread, fresh ingredients and plenty if meat and veggies. It is not hard to do, but so many places just can’t figure it out. Service was great and extremely friendly. They definitely know how to cater to the tourists as well as the business professional.

The long line during lunch hour goes VERYFAST. like 8 minutes. But there is a girl who works here, she’s blonde and wears glasses. She can’t make sandwiches. I grab a sandwich from here probably 100x a year and everytime she made mine, it’s soaked in oil from the hot peppers. Lady, I just want the hot peppers, not soaked the bread in the oil. Everytime I’m in line, i pray, i hope she doesn’t make my sandwich i hope its not her. so bad.

Like every other Potbelly Sandwich Shop I’ve been too, the sandwiches are good. Downside to this particular location is the amount of traffic that it receives. Good for the business, but annoying for the customer since the lines are MAD long. I’m talking out the revolving door long. =/ Just be patient and remember to not go there during the lunch hour rush.

All I can say is that I am VERY unhappy about not having a Pot Belly in San Diego. Please work on that :-)

I wandered out of Union Station trying to catch a quick bite between trains and this was the first place I saw! Long line, very crowded, but excellent service and very friendly staff! I always go with the turkey on wheat in it is very hard to resist the chocolate chip cookies! Soooo good! I love that Potbelly’s toasts their sandwiches, although sometimes after toasting I feel like the bread cuts your gums a little?(Do you? Maybe my gums are just sensitive?) On this particular occasion, I told them«I’ll take everything!» on the sandwich… upon the first bite I realized hot peppers were included in everything and man were they hot! After sweating through my sandwich, I think I’ll say hold the peppers next time! My only complaint is that you need to ask for a key to get into the bathroom– I had a lot of luggage with me so it required some effort to keep going back to the counter to get the key and return it but I understand why they make you get a key too!

Okay, I’m ready to give this the weirdest positive review I think I’ve ever written. I walked in here on a train layover, not wanting to venture too far away from Union Station. I ordered the Mediterranean something. I was starving. I had been eating train food for two days and I smelled and I hadn’t showered and it was hot. It was a day that I needed something good, healthy, and filling, and since I dig not-terrible Subway-like sandwiches, this seemed like the place. Mediterranean things are usually the way to go, since they tend to be packed with flavor. So I ordered what I think was the Mediterranean sandwich, but may have been called something else. It was tasty. It had a spicy sauce, the feta was rich in flavor, it was warm and it was filling. I also ordered a smoothie of some sort that was not as great but not bad. I think it was the mixed berry, but I may be making that up. So after eating it I was walking along and I was trying to figure out what the sauce tasted like. It was a good sauce, but it had a distinct, familiar flavor, and burned a little. After walking along for a while it hit me — the sauce tasted in many ways like acid reflux — those little vomits that burn your throat a little and otherwise are unremarkable. But I mean… It was good. So now I don’t know what do to. Apparently I’m a big fan of acid reflux. So I would absolutely recommend this sandwich — without a doubt. Get this sandwich. But you know… I don’t know. Let me know if it tastes the same to you, because I’m weirded out that I like a sandwich that reminds me a little of GERD.

I’ve only eaten at the Potbelly’s in Chicago but I’m pretty sure they are other places. Strangely every one I’ve ever been in has live music during lunch, which is good and bad. Great if you’re by yourself but tough if you want to talk during lunch because these spaces aren’t that large and the music can get loud. The food is great, fresh and made to order so that’s not a problem at all.

I’ve kind of been on a Potbelly kick lately when I have a turkey sandwich craving. What I really like about Potbelly is that they truly offer some lower calorie/carb fare for the folks watching their waistlines. You can go to their website, plug in your sandwich selection and toppings and get a nifty output of calories, fat, sodium and such. I love that. I also love that while you can get away with a regular turkey on white with no cheese and no mayo for under 400 calories. You can also stick to the Skinny Sandwiches with 1⁄3 less bread and meat to keep it lower cal and still get your cheese fix. While the line at this Potbelly location is usually super long, they move things along very quickly. I’ve never had a problem with bad service or incorrect orders. Get me in, get me out and get my my sandwich!

Besides the normal incredible toasted subs and shakes that all Potbelly’s has this one has: –Two floors of seating –Outdoor seating on the river in the summer! –Frequent troubadors playing music –Friendly people that take your order in advance then throw it along a line overhead like a Pirate sending a message up the mizzenmast –More friendly people makin’ sandwiches This was my go-to Potbelly’s when I was in the Loop previously, and is now again my go-to. Can’t wait for the warm weather. Oh, and get the Chix salad sandwich– it’s awesome.
