This was my go to place to have my iphone unlocked and jailbroken. I went in to get my new iphone 4 unlocked and they tried using the gevey sim to unlock it but it did not work. They told me there was nothing that I could do and that I either had to wait for an official unlock release or just sale the phone. However, I went to Chicago tech’s and they unlocked my phone in 10 minutes. I would highly recommend Chicago Tech’s 3505 N. Cicero.

Went to this place to get my iphone unlocked. Gave the guy my phone and as he pretends to play around with it, he puts this puzzled look on his face and tells me something is wrong with my sim reader. Shame on me for believing him. He tells me its going to cost 80 to repair plus 20 to unlock. Luckily I decided to wait. I took my iphone a week later to a different place and they said nothing was wrong and unlocked it in 10 mins. Stay away from this place… unless you want to be scammed. Should have known from the previous customer they dealt with.

John is the guy here that you’re going to deal with. I’ve never been in there where he wasn’t sitting in the Captian’s chair.
Some reviewers who have been disappointed with PT have commented that he is rude. Initially, I also had been taken aback by what I would best describe as an arrogant-​like, know-​it-​all demeanor. But, if you put forth filtering that out (yah, yah but «I’m» the customer… get over that.), he and the techs will get you to where you want to go.
These guys are good.

Prior going to this store, I called. I asked if they could match the T-​Mobile price for the sim-​card (pay as you go), he said yes. I went there yesterday to unlocked my Iphone and the guy said that the sim-​card cost $ 40, and I said I talked to John or Peter and he said you guys gonna match it and he said no. I was disappointed. He unlocked my phone very quickly which I am satisfied with, but I didn’t like about the sim-​card thing. I went to T-​Mobile store, and I just bought the sim-​card for only $ 11. So, I will never go to this store again. They are so expensive.
