One of the worst experiences of my life. If I could give this place a zero, I would in a heartbeat. Dr. Chander alongside Maria and some of the front desk personell were okay in the beginning. The rest of the staff are horrible. Particularly some blond that works where they have all the frames on display and the office administrator. I actually left on one of my visits because that blond was acting like I was bothering her and then left me standing there for a good ten minutes while she and another girl huddled around what appeared to be their personal friend. Both her and the office administrator were extremely rude, condescending and unprofessional. I visited primary eye care several times, about four or five times. Not once was I told that there would be a copay for my pair of eye glasses. I paid to have my frames and lenses ordered on 3÷6÷16 but then received a call from them on either Monday or Tuesday stating I needed to pay a copay. When I called them back to find out where this copay was coming from all of a sudden, I was told by the office administrator that I would need to pay the copay upon picking up my glasses. I was upset because as previously mentioned, this was the first time after many visits and already paying them that I was hearing about a copay. I was at work and couldn’t be on the phone for long so I told the office administrator that I would be speaking to Dr. Chander. Not once did I tell her to halt the order. The next day I called them again to check on the status of my order and then the office administrator tells me they didn’t order them because I was upset and I had said that I was going to speak to Dr. Chander. At this point I was even more upset because I was told one thing and then another. I told the office administrator that I urgently needed the new pair of glasses and to order them asap. After bringing up my job which had nothing to do with the matter at hand and being disrespectful, she agreed to place the order. Flash forward to today 3÷10÷16 and I receive an email from Dr. Chander stating that if I want my glasses ordered then there is a copay I must take care of. This was the nails in the coffin. After exchanging emails between Dr. Chander and I and getting nowhere, I requested a full refund of the money that I had paid them since Saturday. Primary eye care wasted almost a whole week, playing childish mind games. So I’m back to square one. I could have gone somewhere else and I probably would have been wearing my new glasses right now. I would never recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Do not go this shady place, unless you want to be disrespected and have your time wasted. Take your business elsewhere, I know I will!

Started coming here after being referred by my sister. What they did to me and may do to you was that when I went to the eye exam, i ordered glasses only, so they didnt charge me for the contacts fitting. I later ordered contacts online through a 3^rd party and entered Dr. Chandlers information. Later on, i received an email from the 3^rd party contacts website stating that the order was cancelled because i didnt have a valid contact fitting size on file with the eye dr. I didnt get it? Dr. Chandler gave me free contacts to try and everything. I later ordered from another site ive been using for years, at a higher price w/​no problems. I recently found out i have a spending balance with my eye insurance, i called chandlers office, (in-​network provider) and the girl first said i had no contact fitting, then said yes i do, but would cost $ 40 because it was never charged before. One year is approaching next month, why would I pay that now? Why not charge it to me originally? Why tell companies there is no contact fitting on file when there is? The girl on the phone was speechless, she had Izabel call me the next day (the contacts supervisor). Izabel said that they would never tell a company that there was no contact fitting on file if there was. I told her i would forward her the email from the eye lense website, in which I later did. She never responded. Basically, looks like a shoddy attempt to get you to order the contacts through them. He also didnt give me a written prescription at the end of my exam, in which Sears Optical has always done for the last decade i was going there. Left Sears Optical because they triple book appointments and you will wait 3 hours to be seen but at least i didnt have these issues.

I called the optical department to set up an appointment. A woman picked up and I had some questions about the glasses they carried and asked if she could tell me if they carried a particular brand. I was put on hold for awhile, and when someone came back on the line it was a different woman. She didn’t even know what I was calling about and seemed annoyed at the questions I was asking because her tone became very rude. I was placed on hold again, and when she came back on the phone she said that all the brands they carried were good quality and that the brand shouldn’t matter anyway as long as they are the right prescription. Well excuse me! Poor customer service! Very unprofessional. I took my business elsewhere. Save your time and money for a facility where the employees are professional and don’t have an attitude.

Eye exam is a bit steep at $ 180.00, plus eye-​glass frames prices are higher than others. Can do much better elsewhere.

Without a doubt this is the best place I’ve ever been to for my optical needs! The technology in the office is amazing. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Dr. Chandler is very thorough and professional. This was the most fun I’ve ever had picking out eyeglasses. Several staff members helped me to pick out some really cool and sassy frames. Even Dr. Chandler gave his opinion. They really enjoy their jobs and it shows. I would highly recommend this place. The selection of frames is massive to choose from.

I have to start with saying I though my vision was ok. I could see everything in the distance and I could read. I havent worn glasses or contacts in over 8 years. But I took my girlfriends advice and went to get my eyes looked at. Turns out my vision is no where close to good. And im in serious need of glasses to see the world clearly. The staff and Dr. Chandler are great and super friendly. They did not have the exact glasses I wanted but helped me find them in a book and got them ordered for my asap. (Took about a week) I couldn’t be happier with my experiance and I recommend all of my friends and family to go there.

I was headed to Chicago on business. As I was putting in my contact lenses at home, one fell out. I searched for a long time, but couldn’t find it. Unfortunately, it was my last pair. (I was due for my annual optometry visit in about one week!) I headed to the airport with my spare glasses, but was set to make a big presentation to a new group of colleagues the next day. The contacts looked much better than the glasses. So when I landed at the airport, I sought out the nearest optometrist to try to get a spare lens, and found Primary Eye Care Associates.
They had a trial pair of my missing contact. Still, they couldn’t just give it to an unknown patient without an exam (I think this is the law). They were very thorough, courteous, kind — and even gifted me a discount on the visit. (They only charged me a pro forma $ 40). They chief optometrist even gave me some information about a new product in lens care to discuss with my optometrist back in CA at my upcoming annual visit.
Overall, I was exceptionally satisfied.
My only complaint is that it took a while. They were VERY thorough. Then again, I was in a hurry. If this were my regular optometrist, I would have wanted and expected such thoroughness.

I made an appointment for my dad with Dr. Chander. On the phone, his staff was very polite and very helpful. On the day of the appointment it was even better. Dr. Chander and his staff were very professional and polite. They didn’t rush my dad through any of the test and really took their time to understand and diagnose my dad’s eye condition. My dad really liked the service that he received and I was very pleased with the entire staff’s professionalism. I highly recommend Dr. Chander and his team.

I wish Dr. Steven Chander was my regular doctor… this office is the best doctor office I have ever been to. Everyone was beyond professional and nice, the office appeared to be state of the art and comfortable. The only recommendation, as you all know my petpeeve are washrooms — they should have a coat hanger in the bathroom. Other than that, i was floored by everyone’s professionalism, and Dr. Steven Chander was beyond superb.
