I would give zero stars if possible. The sheer incompetency of the office staff is positively mind boggling. You can ask three different people the same question and get three different responses. The word ‘clusterf***’ perfectly sums up this office.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

this is the worst doctor’s office i’ve had the misfortune of dealing with. the doctors are fine, though i’ve only been able to see my primary once since 2010 when i chose this office.
the staff on the other hand are the rudest people in a professional setting. somedays you’ll call and get the one that doesn’t speak english. other days you’ll walk in and ask for something and be looked at like you just said something obscene about the lady’s mother. the next day you’ll need your lab results faxed to you, and the medical records department at a major hospital (under the same corporate umbrella mind you) will say they were told by this wonderful office that faxing those records is time consuming and can’t be done same day because all the nurses are dealing with the doctors. WTF does that even mean? why does a nurse need to be involved to fax a lab result? and why do i go in one time and get told they can’t print records at the front desk, but when i call a month later i’m told to just come in for the records i’m asking them to mail? DON’T EVER GO HERE. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT RESPECT YOU, AND THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE GARBAGE. THEY ARE INCOMPETENT AND TERRIBLE AT THEIR JOBS, AND WILL TAKE IT OUT ON YOU. (sorry, just wanted to get that point across.)

I’ve been going to Ravenswood Medical for about five years now. I initially moved to the area and selected Ravenswood as my Primary because I didn’t know any better. I’ve finally gotten around to looking at better alternatives and hope to switch Dr. offices soon.
First, it’s recently become very difficult to even get someone on the phone to even make an appt. and the average hold time is about 10 minutes. Second, when they refer you to a specialist, they never follow through with the referral paperwork. On several occassions, I’ve had to call and leave messages for the Dr. s just get a referral faxed over. Maybe this is more of a complaint about HMOs in general, but this place certainly does not make it any easier for you. Third, I’ve had a difficult time obtaining referrals from some of the Dr. s for whatever reason. Dr. Wu is very good, but it takes six months or so just to get an appt. with her. Finally, I’ve found some of the nurse staff to be very rude and obnoxious. Everyone has a bad day from time to time, but when you’re dealing with the public you have to suck it up and at least act cordial.
Bottom line: I’m looking for another Primary Care Physician, as this place is woefully inadequate in my opinion. Do yourself a favor and avoid Ravenswood Medical Professional Group.

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Raskovitch and I was really pleased. I have been trying to find a doctor I like for a while and think I finally found a good one. The office is very clean and comfortable. The receptionists are really great and there is complimentary water bottles. The doctor’s assistant was really friendly and put me at ease for my appointment. Dr. Raskovitch really listened to my questions and gave me thorough answers along with my wellness exam. I was happy that she didn’t seem like a doctor caught up in new health «fads» but wasn’t really old school either. I felt confident in her abilities as a doctor and thought she seemed very intelligent.

I had to write a new review since my original was flagged for telling the truth apparently. I will keep it toned down this time.
Short and simple — this is the worst medical group in the city. They should be shut down for poor and unethical practices. They only care about money and will charge you for false services rendered. I have seen 4 of the doctor’s here, I particularily dislike Dr. Narula and Dr. Raskovitch. Dr. Wu is lovely but it takes 6 months or longer to get an appointment with her. I would like to see Dr. Rascovitch’s medical degree, because frankly I doubt that she has one. Dr. Narula is a rude snob.
I haven’t been here since the last mess they put me in, and I will never be back. I would put the details, but if I did surely my post will be flagged again. Just avoid this place at all costs.

I have only been here twice, once with Dr. Raskovitch and the second time with another older, male doctor. Both times I had great experiences.
I haven’t had insurance in many years, so this was my first time seeing a doctor in a long time. I picked Dr. Raskovitch randomly from the list of doctors, and she was extremely helpful. I came in with a list of questions about my asthma, acne and a myriad of other issues, and she answered them all. She was very understanding to my financial situation too, and wrote me half a dozen prescriptions (brand and generic) so I could check to see what would be the cheapest option.
The second doctor, I wish I could remember his name, was awesome as well. I came in with weird rash/​growth all over the left side of my body, and he pretty immediately diagnosed it as shingles. I was pretty freaked out, and upset over the rash, and he was very understanding. He answered all my questions and even cracked a few jokes that cheered me up.
I haven’t had a bad experience with them yet, but I interested to see if I continue to get this kind of service.

I just tried to make an appointment to meet /​interview any of their pediatricians. The receptionist hung up on me. On purpose. I guess that’s a «No». Suggest this place is avoided.: sigh:

I have had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Raskovich. She’s kind, professional, and will take the time to discuss any issues I have with symptoms, medications, etc. My daughter’s pediatrician is also part of this medical group.
The only downside is that the wait can be rather long at times, but it’s a busy practice.

Well I am surprised to see the negative reviews. I have now been to the office 4 times including lab visits. Everyone I have interacted with has been extremely friendly. Lakeia in the lab is very friendly, and offered to call in my prescription so it would be ready by time I got there. Last I checked, thats not even anywhere remotely within the scope of her job, and she offered it up freely. Thats service! My docto is Dr. Sukenik. He is a very nice guy, straight shooter, and apparently runs an on time schedule. I even get in early. Never have I been anywhere where a doctor is on time. Dr. Sukenik is consistently so. I was happy with this choice, as sometimes picking a provider under an HMO is a crapshoot without any real references. I recommend this place, especially Dr. Sukenik!

I have been treated here by Dr. Pop and Dr. Sukenic, and I have no complaints whatsoever. I found them to be appropriately attentive, serious, and considerate.
This place is not fancy by any means, but it runs efficiently, especially considering the high volume. The desk staff is courteous and does its job well.

I have been unfortunate enough to be a patient here for several years. My first doctor was Dr. Glantsman whose eyes would glaze over any time I opened my mouth. When she moved exclusively to the Cicero office I followed with the idea of continuity of care in mind – not that there had ever been any «care». After realizing in this case that no care was better than what I was getting I stopped going to her.
My most recent appointment was with Dr. Narula, a mere two years out of Medical School but a wonder she was allowed to graduate. With one possible exception I now believe they go out of their way to hire the most inept and rude staff of MDs, probably anyone who can’t be hired anywhere else.
This appointment was the worst I have ever had in my life. I arrived half an hour early for my appointment and the nurse showed me into the room at the appointed time. I asked the nurse how the doctor handled questions as so many doctors try to tell you they have no time. She told me the doctor could be a bit short but that she was a good doctor. She left and returned shortly after to let me know she had told the doctor I had questions and the doctor had said that was fine and that she would be right in.
I waited for twenty five minutes, with the sound of light banter between tow or three people outside the door, before the doctor entered the room and she got down to business right away. Any time I tried to ask a related question to why I was there she would say she didn’t know or she’d have to find out, which was a new one on me since most doctors have all the answers or at least think they do – she didn’t seem to know much of anything.
At the end of the appointment she started to rush out the door when I asked her a question. She told me she didn’t have any time to answer a question, that I would have to schedule a new appointment. I reminded her I had been waiting for twenty-​five minutes whereupon she gave me a half-​hearted apology and reiterated that I would have to make another appointment. I said that what I wanted wasn’t anything she would do that it would require a referral and she told me that it needed a discussion and therefore another appointment. I asked her if I could at least get a refill of a prescription that had expired and she again said she had no idea what I was talking about, tried to insinuate I didn’t know what I was talking about and then told me again to make another appointment.
I then explained to her that nobody has the money to make a separate appointment for each individual issue, especially for things that could be answered easily, certainly in the time she insisted on wasting by telling me to schedule another appointment.
Additionally that nobody would be able to take that much time off of work. She gave me a look that clearly indicated she didn’t care and that her goal was to get as much money as possible from anyone who came to see her.
SHE WAS COMPLETELY CLUELESSLY INCOMPETENT, GREEDY, IRRESPONSIBLE, aAND EXTREMELY RUDE. I realized shortly afterwards that one of the voices I had heard in the hall while I was waiting for her to grae me wiht her presence had been hers, deliberately wasting time so she wouldn’t have to answer my questions.
When I had to check out I made it very clear to the person at the desk that I would never return to see her and asked about the availability of, apparently, the only good doctor there, Dr. Wu. I have not yet seen Dr. Wu but the nursing staff and the receptionists have all spoken of her in glowing terms where they have laughed when I have asked about other doctors. This is the last chance I give to this joke of a medical group before switching to PPO and out of HMO hell.

Please avoid this place like the plague. The doctors don’t take your symptoms seriously. This place is like an assembly line of patients. They want you in and out fast. I’ve been going to the one on Cicero for 3 years for the same friggin symptoms, and the two doctors I see have done NOTHING to help me. I’m so frustrated and appalled at their lack of compassion.
Dr. Kamicz (sp?) and Glantsman never let me get a word in edgewise. They talked way too fast and weren’t listening to my issues. I’ve been battling with headaches (sometimes migraines) everyday, hair loss (not common in my family), fatigue, anxiety and neck pain for the past two years. The doctor brushed off my symptoms and told me to change my lifestyle, go see a chiropractor and do yoga. WTF??? I’m not rich and my insurance doesn’t cover a chiropractor! I tried yoga, and yes it worked for my neck pain but I can’t afford to keep going. There is nothing wrong with my lifestyle. I get stressed like everyone else but nothing major, I work out 3 times a week and eat healthy.
She did the routine blood work but never suggested further tests. To this day I’m still suffering from the same symptoms. I finally decided to go somewhere else and found a new doctor at Northwestern. I have an appt next week and I’m really hoping he’s alot better.
By the way, the Cicero office only does lab work on certain days. I went on a Saturday and had to wait 2 HOURS to get blood drawn. The nurse was very nice and apologized for the wait. She encouraged me to complain to the office manager, which I did. He did nothing, apologized but didn’t give me an explanation. He didn’t give a crap that ppl were waiting that long. One of the receptionists is very rude. She doesn’t even look at you when you talk to her.
STAY AWAY!

Wondering where I have been lately?
I was hospitalized, close to death for 6 days in the ICU.
4 weeks later I am still on major antibiotics and trying to recuperate.
I saw a Dr here who told me I was over reacting about my symptoms and that I should wait it out 7 days. By the time I walked into an ER just 24 hours after that first visit, I was about to die. Literally.
While I was hospitalized with a tube down my throat the Dr’s from Ravenswood would call all the specialists that were treating me– not to check on me– but to tell them my insurance was not going to cover it. They actually became the joke of the ICU. Staff would walk into my room saying «your friendly medical office called us again» with an eye roll.
If you or someone you love goes here be very careful. Always go with your gut instinct-​Doing this is the reason I am still alive right now.
At this point I would let my dog treat me before I ever stepped foot into Ravenswood Medical (non)Professional group ever again. They get one star for the nice appointment takers. My experience with the Dr ‘s was completely outrageous. If this place is listed as your primary care Dr’s get out now. God forbid you are ever hospitalized they don’t give one ounce about your well being whatsoever. So much so that the Dr’s, and Nurses at the hospital I was at were so appalled with them they actually helped me along with Blue cross completely bypass Ravenswood Medical group to get my hospital bills and specialists paid so I would not even have to deal with them ever again. I edited to also add that Blue cross blue shield was so appalled by their behavior that they actually flipped the bill for me to walk into any other Dr’s office for my follow up visits.
They are completely unprofessional, rude and callous.

You mostly hear nightmares of people’s experiences in waiting rooms, but I’ve never had a bad experience here. Weather its for colds or something a little more serious, I’ve always felt comfortable and taken care of. Drs Glanceman and Sukenic are by far two of the best doctors I’ve ever interacted with. They take their time in listening to you, and are thorough in their explanations.
Dr Sukenic had the dubious honor of settling a year long debate between my fiancé and I. Yes, it is confirmed that I have a third nipple.
