The woman was extremely rude, rushy, and snippy. I saw them on Groupon and thought I would try out a semi-​local business. I will never go there or recommend anyone to go there. Level of service was substandard.

I decided to check this place out on a Groupon deal and I must admit I originally went in with not too much of an high expectation. I mean really a quality mani-​pedi for $ 15? BUT I must admit my tech Azaa did a really good job! The pedicure was basic, which I expected. I really like the little cute pedicure bowls that they use. It’s different from your standard oversize pedicure massage seats. The manicure was your typical style manicure, but again no shorts were taken because I was using a Groupon. Their color selection is a little weak from what I am used to, but all in all I am sure you will find a color you like in the popular nail color departments, blue, green, red, purple, and neutral. My manicure also did last close to a week with minimal to no chipping and that I was shocked and impressed on. The décor is really nice and different for your Asian style nail salons. All in all the experience was pleasant. Would I go back and pay full price yes I probably would.

I found this gem in the neighborhood in December while my girlfriend from New York was visiting. We came in for a mani pedi spa services and I have to say we were impressed! It is a BYOB –yay ! And Azaa and De did an amazing job! It is so hard to find a good nail technician in Chicago and I am happy I found my go-​to place now. The salon offers modern zen ambiance, healing copper bowls for the pedis and relaxing music. I went back yesterday and my light pink nails have never looked so impeccably done!

I got a great deal at groupon. The place is very clean has nice décor. I really liked that when I told them that the no chip light hurts they offerred another polish that last long about 7 to 10 days with no chipping but uses no ligth.
I will be going back. Please remember to tip on the full price even if you bought a coupon deal b.c. its only fair. And great service should be rewarded.

I came in yesterday for a mani/​pedi, which I found using groupon. It was $ 19 for both. I made an appointment a few days in advance. The whole thing took about an hour and 15 minutes and it was very relaxing. D did a great job and was very friendly. My only complaint was the bench for the pedicure was pretty uncomfortable for me– I felt like the plate I was resting my feet on kept sliding off, probably due to my height (I am 5’6″). I feel shorter women may have a more comfortable sitting position but if you have long legs you will feel a little cramped. I was happy with my service and would come again.

The owner clearly resents groupon customers even though she has made a deal with groupon to get customers. She gave me attitude the first time I went to get mani-​pedi on the groupon. Then when i called to schedule my second (unfortunately, i bought a package of 3 mani-​pedis), after confirming I could come in at certain time, once she finds out I’m a repeat groupon customer, she tells me the time slot is suddenly not available. I tell her that she just told me it was available and then she says, it’s not available anymore because you are a groupon customer and tells me I can come in only on specific times. I tell her that’s not what the groupon deal says. then she yells, «GROUPON IS NOT MY BOSS!».

Got there before my appointment. Was asked if I had an appointment I said yes. About 45 minutes later still sitting there, another woman asks if I had an appointment I said yes 12. She said she thought I cancelled. Basically I was there for 2 ½ hours. No apologies. I was annoyed.
However they did a good job. They were nice. The place is cleaned. I believe in second chances. So I will be going back in hopes that this situation will not occur again.

I made an appointment. Came in, waited for 35minutes. I got up to ask the nail tech how much longer since i had made an appt and i had been waiting so long. She said 30 more minutes very nonchalantly. No sorry, nothing. Now if i didn’t get up to ask i would have probably been waiting an hr or maybe even more. So rude. Very disappointed. I’m giving an extra star so they could fix the process or at least let the customer know an approximate wait time. Just something so that it’s not wasting anyone’s time. Or maybe if you do go, be the first customer of the day or something.

Red Tech Nail Spa is a small business, and it’s mostly run by the owner. She’s skilled, and I feel that regular mani-​pedis last longer than normal (a week for mani’s and a month for pedi’s). My manicures always look perfect. I love that she takes the time to clean up the edges. If I were to be picky, I would say that she never asks how you want your nails shaped — sometimes I like my toe nails more square, but she usually just makes them round. The nail colors are limited so I would consider bringing your own. The nail salon is very clean and new. I think she just needs to play some music for more ambiance! My appointments have run 1 – 1.5 hours. There is easy meter parking on Diversey, but I’ve never had a problem finding an open free spot on the cross street.

I bought a Groupon long story short. I would not go back to this place. Owner is rude, equipment not sterilized. My nails looks awful so now I have to go out and get another mani.
They don’t put flowers in your water for pedi…

I purchased a groupon for this place since it is on my way home. I called to make an appointment and was asked for the groupon number. I thought that was strange and had a bad feeling about giving it to her prior to receiving the service, but she said this is the way they take reservations, so I gave it to her. BIG mistake! My appointment was for 6:30 pm and when I arrived the door was locked even though the sign said open ’till 7 pm. There was a woman in there and I know she saw me knocking on the door, but she ignored me. When I called she did not answer the phone. I called back numerous times and the phone was never answered. A few days later I saw that my groupon had been redeemed!
This is a new one on me! Lesson learned DO NOT give out the groupon number. I called using a friends phone and guess what? The woman answered right away! I explained who I was and she remembered me. She had no explanation for why she ignored me at the door but said she’s see me so in order to get the service I had paid for and despite how angry I was I decided to make the appointment.
The day of my second appointment she was running late. She also decided to sweep the floor in between my mani and pedi. Overall she did an ok job on my nails and gave me some discount coupons but that is not enough to make me EVER go back there again.

I was going to buy a Groupon so I called ahead and not only did I spend half a day calling that when someone answered I couldn’t understand anything she said. She hung up on me and didn’t answer again. Rude! Horrible customer service

Totally inconvenient to be called to reschedule an appointment. Pointless for me to even buy groupons if making an appointment is so time and effort consuming.

Azaa created an amazing shellac manicure! She was super kind, caring, and thorough with her work! I got my nails done before a weekend camping trip with my girls, and I am confident I will be looking sweet out in the wild! My nails look better than ever!

The first time i came here i liked it even if i had a hard Time making and appointment. The second. I got Groupon for this place and couldn’t even make an appointment the lady that answered the phone didn’t speak English so i got i refund for my Groupon

I didn’t catch her name but she is the owner and she did an awesome job. I upgraded my groupon with a no chip and she did an awesome job on my nails. It’s close to home and I will def be back. Just an FYI she is the only tech onsite so be patient and schedule wisely.

Second time I’ve been here n I’m very satisfied. The place is nice n clean. I was very happy with my no chip. Lasted 3 weeks! My last no chip at another location started to crack after just few days

I purchased a groupon here for the fact that I needed to get a mani/​pedi done for my best friend’s wedding THIS WEEKEND. I called and made an appt for Friday (today) at 11a. I called 2 days later to reschedule. I remember our specific phone conversation when I called to reschedule — I asked if 230p was available and she said 3p was available instead. So I took the 3p.
When I walked in for my 3p appointment, she asked if I had a groupon. I told her yes and my name. She then proceeded to tell me that I missed my 11a appointment. I told her I had called to reschedule. She asked who I talked to (I spoke with her) and she immediately told me «NO, you didn’t call!» — in the most rude way. Don’t tell me I didn’t call — I DID CALL! She had her hand on her hip — defensive — and her attitude turned sour. She told me I was «lucky» because she usually doesn’t take groupons on Fridays/​Saturdays/​Sundays, but that I already missed my appointment.
NOWHERE on the groupon does it say that you can only use it on the weekedays and she did NOT tell me that on the phone or that I was the exception to the rule.
I stormed out of there so angry. yes, FUCK this place. I bought the groupon so that I could save money, but not only did I waste $ on parking, I had to go to another nail salon and spend more dough.
REALLY BAD business ethic. REALLY shitty attitude. NO ONE was even in the salon, so it’s not like the place was packed! I will never come here and I hope no one else will.

What a great find! The owner did my mani pedi and she did a fantastic job! She has tremendous attention to detail. I love it when a manicurist gets a really clean line that does not touch the cuticle, which is exactly what she did. My nails look fabulous! The salon is really cute – inviting and immaculately clean. I’ll be back!

The Spa is new and very clean. The lady that did my mani and pedi did a very good job and was very pleasant. They also offer waxing services and I got an eyebrow wax, my brows have never looked better! She shaped them so well! The only thing that could make it better is if they had a larger polish selection — maybe that will happen, but know that if you really want a certain color you might want to bring your own.
