History

Established in 2012.

Although Right Way Signs was established in 2012, Ches Perry has been a custom sign maker in the Chicagoland area since 1970. Formerly the owner of Brownie Signs, a custom sign company serving Evanston and Northwestern University since 1936, Ches is a trained sign maker through the Institute of Lettering Design. The «Chicago Sign Painter» can be found at Right Way Signs of Chicago. Ches Perry is been hand painting signs since 1970, trained by the best at the Institute of Lettering & Design in Chicago where Perry received his degree. Perry’s business flourished through the 1970′s, 1980′s and the early part of the 1990′s, but the computer sign industry had taken over. Now in 2013, sign painting is back because of what one client referred to as «digital exhaustion», sign painting has more character and more of a «human touch».

The sign painting of Ches Perry can be seen throughout the Chicagoland region, with some of his more recognizable work at businesses such as Glazed & Infused Doughnuts, Chicago Athletic Clubs, Smoque BBQ, That Burger Joint, NAPA Auto, Old Town Burger Saloon and more.

Ches is currently accepting sign painting projects in Chicago and is available for travel to work on projects across the United States.
