Business Owner

Dr. Zelikow grew up in the Chicagoland area. He attended the University of Illinois. He graduated from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1984 and completed advanced training at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry in 1986. Dr. Zelikow is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Association. He is currently the team dentist for the Chicago Fire Major League Soccer team.

Dr. Zelikow, along with his wife, Marla, have raised their three daughters in Northbrook. Dr. Zelikow enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, volunteering for charities, attending and continuing education courses, hockey and riding his motorcycle.

I’m a physician in Chicago. I broke a tooth and needed to see a dentist ASAP. I called Dr. Zelikow office at 7:30AM. By 8:15, I was in his office being seen He’ extremely professional and exceedingly intelligent (he knows his stuff!). As a health care provider, I would definitely trust him and would recommend him to others.

I broke a tooth last night and my normal dentist wasn’t open today. I looked online and found Dr. Zelikow and saw the rave reviews, figured he must be a solid guy. He got me right in, realized it was a broken crown and shaved it down and polished it so it would stop cutting my tongue and gums and told me to take it up with my current dentist — that they should stand by their work. I went to the front to pay and there was NO charge for the work.
The reviews are true. This guy is a really sincere doc, and I will be moving my business to him immediately.
Very friendly staff, very clean/​modern office. Doc is the man, def recommend this place.

Wow! Best Dentist ever! Truly goes above and beyond for his patients. I have been going to Dr. Zelikow since I sprouted my first tooth. I will be 30 next month! I know some people are afraid to go to the dentist or dread it. I feel so much better once I see Dr. Zelikow and his amazing staff! Also, I don’t think I’ve waited longer than 2 minutes in the lobby to get taken care of. I’m not surprised on all the other 5 star ratings on here. I definitely recommend Dr. Zelikow and his crew of professionals.

Dr. Zelikow is the best dentist in the world. He has helped my teeth look incredible. He is very sincere and honest. It is always a pleasure to go to his office. I love that he stands behind what he does. I had a tray done to get my teeth whitened and the day before I was supposed to come in he called me and told me that he was not happy with how the tray turned out so I had to do the mold again — that was super nice of him. I love my teeth now :)

We switched to Dr. Zelikow after getting sick of driving out to the suburbs to see our family dentist and we are extremely happy with him and his entire staff. Their office is very comfortable, and it’s a nice place to go. If you are looking for a great dentist in the Lincoln Park /​Lakeview /​Wrigleyville area, go with him!

Dr. Ron Zelikow is a first rate dentist! He was recommended to me through a friend and I was extremely pleased with the work he did on my teeth. Throughout the appointment he let’s you know what’s going on and has a very pleasant demeanor too. I wish I found him years ago. If you need a dentist — he’s the one to go to.

See him once and he’ll be your family dentist for a lifetime.

I chose Dr. Zelikow after reading many favorable reviews of him on here and I was duly impressed. It had been about 18 months since my last cleaning and I had cavities and a chipped tooth and he got me all fixed up. Unfortunately, I didn’t have dental insurance so it cost me a pretty penny. Still, he’s a great dentist and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Zelikow is amazing. He has been my dentist since I was a little girl, and I made him promise that even when he eventually retires, he still has to take care of my teeth! I LOVE going to the dentist because of this man! How many people can say that? Dr. Zelikow is friendly, professional, and extremely good at his job. He is very gentle, and even though I’ve probably had about 10 cavities filled over the years, I’ve never experienced any pain. Dr. Zelikow’s staff is also great… I have to give a special shout-​out to Mary at the front desk, who is always wonderful to deal with. I wouldn’t trade my dentist for the world! His patients are extremely lucky to have him.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Z for over 6 years dating back to when he had an office on Southport. His new office on Belmont is top notch.
He’s always super friendly and straightforward. He’s not condescending about not flossing, not getting in every six months, etc. Occasionally, he still even cleans my teeth himself.

Dr. Zelikow rocks! I started going to him when i first moved to Chicago in ’98. then my husband got dental insurance, and he wasn’t on that plan, so i switched… well, the new guy was awful… sized up my teeth and then told me i was on the verge of «palatal collapse» and needed braces immediately and then gave me the name of his associate for a referral. i was terrified (palatal collapse?) and couldn’t believe that in 30+ years no one had ever mentioned this before. well then my husband, who has near perfect teeth after years of braces, went to him and the guy tried to sell him Veneers??? total scam artist!
anyway, long story short… i ditched that insurance and went back to Dr. Zelikow and apologized for cheating on him, and didn’t mind at all… reassured me that my teeth were fine (sure if i wanted to correct my slight overbite then i could, but i didn’t need to… that i would do just fine for the next 60+ years as is)…anyway, so happy to be back with him… highly recommend. and he does the entire exam and cleaning himself, vs. handing it off to his assistant…
(and he takes my new dental insurance!)

Walking into Dr. Zelikow’s office feels more like a day spa than a dentist’s office: bright, well-​lit open spaces, with blonde woods, nice paintings, and friendly staff. Dr. Zelikow himself is top-​notch! He has the most up to date technology and equipment, and he’s extremely knowledgeable — he’ll talk you through what’s going on with your teeth, and review your options — from what time frame you’re looking at (ie. if you don’t get your teeth fixed, what will happen), to types of treatment available, etc. He’s very honest on his opinions about treatments (ie. he doesn’t recommend laser teeth-​whitening). He’s a nice guy, very approachable, I love his style! I highly recommend him!

He has been my dentist since I was 10 years old… Sheesh, that is a longggg time now. He is pleasant, friendly and realistic. I hope he can take care of me until I no longer need any teeth.
