After 4 years in Chicago, Rudy’s has moved to Austin, TX. It will be greatly missed by many including myself. :(

So upset it’s gone. One of the only stores in wicker that I went into every time I passed it! Absolutely love all the quirky things they had.

Rudy’s Roundup is so stinkin’ adorable. It’s my dream shop, honestly. It’s packed with vintage treasures, some of which you may have grown up with! I spent way too much time in there just looking at all the cute little earrings and books and trinkets. Not to mention all the vintage clothing and aprons in the back of the store (*drooling*). Everything in here makes you smile, including the people working. You’ll probably want to buy everything in here… something for your friend, something for your mom, something for your boss, a million things that you think you need…

I love shops like these. Everytime I’m in the area I try to stop in to Rudy’s Roundup. It’s a cute little shop filled with some vintage items that will surely bring you back. I enjoyed browsing through the bar soaps and lotions because I just love anything that smells good. :) they have jewelry, greeting cards, children’s toys and more. Good place if you’re looking to buy a unique gift.

I got some hamburger socks. I’m not sure anything else needs to be said.

MY FAVORITE LITTLE SHOP ON NORTH MILWAUKEE AVENUE!
I moved to Wicker Park from Indiana about 3 years ago and all I can say is: they do NOT have shops like this in my part of Indiana! When I first ventured down Milwaukee Avenue into Rudy’s Roundup, I was so amazed at how many awesome things were in this cute little shop.
You find the most RANDOM things in here:
–Vintage clothes
–Unique, quirky jewelry
–Crazy selection of humorous, random, and unique black and simply stated cards
–Funny books, random books, crafty books, informative books, entertaining books
–Old knickknacks and trinkets
–Dirty thing-​a-​majiggers and funny thing-​a-​majiggers
–Funny lotions, lip balms, sanitizers, soaps, and candles
–Unicorn stationary… and the like
Perfect place for a gag, a gift, and a giggle!
On top of that, all the employees are super nice and willing to help. You could spend an hour in here easily just marveling at the hundreds of things to looks at, read, try on, and inspect.
Price wise: think somewhere between thrift shop and urban outfitters; so not super steal cheap, but not ridiculously expensive either.

I love this place. Sometimes when I need a boost in life I stop in to walk around and look at all the new fun things they have in stock. It’s hard to really explain what it is because there are so many different things both seriously cute and ridiculously funny. I always go here for cards for that exact reason. I like to bring people in with me to experience the mystery and wonder for the first time. Worth a walk over to see what you might be able to find to make you or someone you know smile.

This store is so random, I love it! I like coming here for their selection of creative cards, especially the letter-​pressed ones

Rudy’s Roundup is a cute little boutique store in the heart of Wicker Park. I really enjoy going in there just to browse as they always have new, fun items. It is the type of funky store that I really WANT to love, but never seem to find that «certain je né sais quoi» that I would actually spend money on. That being said, I rarely have bought anything from there as they sell mostly fun little trinkets that no one really needs or would know what to do with if given as a gift. If you’re in to funky jewelry and collecting odds and ends, you’ll probably love it. I personally can’t say that I often find things to buy for myself or as gifts for others.

Seriously I am in love with this place. It’s like the inside of my brain but in store form. Amazing and unique cards. I just bought my friend a slightly morbid but also hilarious handmade card that read «it’s your birthday– cry tears of blood if you want to». This store is made for people with an offbeat sense of humor, and has plenty for lovers of vintage and eclectic items and gifts. I always go here if I am going to send a package to someone dear to me. They also have awesome holiday setups, though my favorite is Halloween, last year they had satanic pocket mirrors and I bought one for my BFF that had a severed head in a basket on the outside. She loved it. Oh and they have tons of vintage 80s and 90s stuff. Need some saved by the bell trading cards? How about a billy idol keychain? Or a ring with a molar on it? Go here for a fun and unique experience that you can only have at Rudy’s.

This place has it all! I usually never leave empty handed when I visit. You will find lots of sweet vintage treasures and delightful candles and creams. Not to mention a great greeting card selection for any occasion. Love this place!

I wandered in while my husband and son went to find the car. Neither wanted to shop anymore and I wasn’t even close to finished, so I was thrilled to have twenty minutes to myself here.
They kinda have everything. Vintage, kitschy, cutesy, inappropriate awesomeness! This is the perfect spot to find a gag gift, a unique birthday gift or a just because treat. From cookbooks to magnets to bathroom air freshener to candy. I loved the staff! The setup was perfect. Organization takes priority here. It’s the perfect spot to snag that thing you never knew you needed!

Last month, I searched every chain store such as Target, Jewel, and Walgreens for a card that didn’t mention a birthday or a graduation. Believe it or not, sometimes people like to send cards just for fun when they are thinking about someone wonderful in their life. In this case, I wanted a funny blank card to send a necklace to my boyfriend’s sister.
Rudy’s Roundup has an amazing card selection… I found my older brother a perfect birthday card, «Happy birthday from Toby Queef» due to his intense hatred of Toby Keith… too bad they didn’t have any Bön Jovi cards… this kid leaves a bar unannounced if Bön Jovi starts playing.
Their knick knacks are great and unique. I think I caught my boyfriend glancing at some Zombie cookie cutters and I saw a motorcycle pizza cutter that I’ve liked at Mod
Cloth before.
I have found a card place that doesn’t make me snort at how fake the messages are… I mean jeez… I could work for Hallmark. All I’d have to do is make everything sound like it came from «The Notebook».
Rudy’s Roundup is probably tops in my shops.

I love this shop! I quite literally go here whenever I need a random gift for a birthday, engagement, or get together (or sometimes just to browse), and never leave empty-​handed. They have items for men, women, children, pregnant people, the elderly … need I go on?

To elaborate further, Rudy’s carries a wide selection of fun gifts, both new and vintage, ranging from the sublime (handmade jewelry, lovely little soaps, scarves, etc.) to the ridiculous (various squirrel and mustache objet d’arts, Garbage Pail Kids paraphernalia, trading cards ranging from Yo! MTV Raps to Saved By the Bell). They also have one of the best, most clever, selection of greeting cards I’ve ever seen.
The stock is always rotating, the staff is always cheerful and helpful, and the prices are always good ($ 8 for a vintage 1984 World’s Fair Irish coffee mug? How have I lived without this for so long??)
Next time you’re on Milwaukee, pop into Rudy’s. You can’t miss it, as there is always a funny little chalkboard message to welcome you in from the sidewalk.

A really diverse selection of eclectic gifts and vintage items. This is definitely the type of store that only exists in «The City». I bring my mom in here when she wants to buy a ton of cool stuff for gifts. I go in here myself for essentially the same reason.
Most of the stuff is kind of retro 50s/​60s themed with a mix of 90s nostalgia and general oddities.

This store is so adorably cute! They have so many cutesey little items, a bunch of vintage cool things and just overall awesome merchandise.
I strongly considered buying a Chuck Norris beer cooler while I was in the shop. My friend spent some time looking through some quirky book on Ryan Gosling’s line to ladies. Another friend teased me about the huge selection of crazy cat people items. I saw some really cute jewelry and ornaments that I strongly considered breaking my dollah bills out for. I also thought about buying something for my friend who just had a baby — they have a good selection of baby related items which are much more cool than the usual for parents to be. Cute greeting cards, clothing, purses. One item that sticks out are puzzles from a puzzle collectors collection for sale. I remember because a sign accompanied them that said they can’t guarantee all the pieces are there! hahah
During my first trip in, I just did some browsing. The shop now has me sold though and I will absolutely be back for some unique gift items… and maybe a little somethin’ somethin’ for myself.

6 months ago today, I started my new job as an online Community Manager (yes, that’s a real thing). What I’ve learned in these last 6 months of working on the w-​w-​w– is that everyone on the internet is crazy, and I have no qualms about being the ring leader.
Rudy’s Roundup is a ragin’ little shop for a goose like myself who needs to make sure her gander of like-​minded, laptop-​equipped lovelies are both tended to and well equipped for whatever rocky, riotous, review-​laden road lies ahead.
This entails needing items such as, but not limited to life-​size rubber horse heads, many a watercolor clown portrait and various ceramic cat statues. What can I say? My people like to par-​tay and they like to do it right.
Nothing is extravagant and the prices are affordable to fair. They have tons of unique items that I’ve otherwise only seen on Amazon or random search and shop internet sites, and the prices usually match what you’d see online, only here you don’t have to pay shipping and you get to take your rubber horse head home right away… none of that 5 – 7 business day bully.
So thank you, Rudy’s Roundup, for being there for me and my fellow cray-​cray party people. It’s been a slice and we owe a big part of that to you.

Yay! Just found this store a few weeks ago (and accidentally, I might add). It is such a great find! The store stocks very unique and fun items. Don’t get me started on the wall of cards — hilarious!
I wanted to buy everything in the store. one of my favs was the caveman’s kit to soda making (or something like that)…perfect gift for that hard-​to-​buy for friend!

I went in to buy my friend a gift… and bought her the cutest giraffe ring! So original.
I ended up buying myself sunglasses and a wallet!
My gf has bought me a bracelet and two rings…
one of the rings was missing a rhinestone when I called they let me come in and exchange it which I was soooo scared they wouldn’t allow me to do something like that.
