This my initial review. I reserve to change it… I was planning a trip to Wisconsin and I wanted to make sure that my older Van was ready for the trip. I have several neighbors that recommend «S &T» highly. So I decided to give then a try. Stan was able to take me in the same day. I was hoping I only had minor items but with a older car… you never know. It turned out that my back brakes were bad and the rotors too… That was the bad news… Te price was reasonable, I felt Stan was super honest with me and that he does work on items that need to be addressed. My of my neighbors feel the same too. So if you are looking for a honest Repair place that wont pad the bill… Visit S&T !!!

I drive a VERY old car and Scott has done the best job of making sure I can keep her on the road and be safe. He never charges for anything he doesn’t do, his prices are fair and if it’s something he feels would be too expensive for the remaining life of the car, he tells me not bother and how to adjust and live with it. He could do all kinds of work, charge me and I’d never really know the difference, but I have brought her in on more than one occasion and he has taken the time to carefully look her over and test her and not charged me a dime. So glad I found him when I moved here. I’d never go anywhere else!

I had bought a car from them & they delivered it to my house 75 miles away. They were friendly, responsive and the car was delivered quickly.

You gotta love an honest mechanic and also a good one! He’s very helpful, his prices are fair and most of all his passion for auto. I really appreciate all the work he has done to my car.

If you want to be taken for a ride, come here. Many years ago I was referred to them and I had a blown transmission, they instead of working on the transmission decided to replace an A-​arm? They had my car for 2 weeks because they had a hard time getting the part… the part that had nothing to do with the transmission… Completely clueless, I thought they were resolving my issue. After I pay for my service and start driving off the lot, my car is still making the extremely loud popping noise. So when they were pulling it in and out of the shop to work on it they chose to ignore that completely and sitll replace this A-​arm… So I return to them and tell them nothing is fixed, the problem is still there (not knowing that the trans is blown). So I leave the car with them and then they finally tell me the tranny is blown… so why the fuck did you replace some other bullshit! Shouldn’t a mechanic be able to tell a blown trans the second they get in a car (manual transmission)!
Many years later and multiple cars later… I decided to give them a 2^nd try b/​c my friend says he’s very happy with them for many years. Once again I come in with a specific issue and they do what, (REPLACE AN A-ARM)…starting to feel a bit sketchy like is that all they do? replace A-arms.or is their breadwinner, IDK but when I told them to fix the actual issue he said he tied a wire to something so that it would be better… NO I WANT IT FUCKING FIXED… IT TOOK YOU 2 DAYS TO Attach a fucking wire! I come here to get my car fixed not ghetto rigged wtf… a mechanic that just does what they feel like doing, instead of focusing on the issue presented, that makes them scum and untrustworthy.
I will never go back, I don’t recommend going here, unless you yourself are a mechanic and can validate all the work being done. Otherwise they will just replace your A-arm…if they even really do that… I can’t trust this joke of a mechanic, I think they pick and chose who they take care of properly and who they just jerk off. 0 stars

I found CUSTOMER SERVICE IN CHICAGO!!! S&T truly cares about your situation and is quick to get you back on the road. I’m using them for my fleet needs on commercial trucks and Honda generators there truly is nobody better in Chicago. I wish we could duplicate these guys and send them to all of our hubs throughout the country. If you want honest pricing and excellent customer service go to S&T.

wow, scott is awesome and did me a huge favor. i have been working for awhile to fix a couple bugs left in my restoration of my baby, and it was recommended that i just throw in the towel and order a new body control module. i found the part for 25% of what another shop wanted to charge for the install, and even though i know scott spent way more than the 1.5 hours labor he billed me for, he knocked it out and now my baby works perfect! here’s another clue that he is awesome — he was recommended to me by another mechanic! thanks scott and s&t for a job well done :)

Scott is an honest mechanic who does the job right! We’ve been taking our vehicles here for many years. His prices are reasonable and he charges you ONLY for what you go in for. He does thorough oil changes and if he has to order parts for your car they get to his shop lickety-​split.
I don’t know why anyone would go anywhere else. This business was truly set up for the love of service, maintenance, and the customer.

Love them. They fixed a problem no one else could in one try and
charged me $ 50 LESS than the quote. They also don’t tell you you need work that you don’t. I will be taking my car there on a regular basis. What a refreshing change to find honest and proficient mechanics.

S&T can do oil changes for Mini Coopers. (A special tool is required which many places don’t have.) Soooo much easier than trekking out to the dealership. Less expensive too.
S&T were also able to get run-​flat tires for about half the cost of what a Mini dealership in Schaumburg quoted me.
