I came here after I purchased a Groupon, thinking that it was a place that I could run into during lunch. I was spending my time at the gym during lunch so I hadn’t been able to book an appointment during the weekday, so I came in on a Saturday. It is a tiny spot, but Kathleen makes it work. I did have to wait inside the foot doctor’s office by myself for a little bit, but that was ok. Once I was inside it was very comfortable and relaxing. She was very patient with waiting on me to decide on a color, and she did a great massage with the hot stone pedi. The place is very clean. My feet were in an aluminum tin of sorts so that tin either gets replaced to get cleaned or a new one gets put in. I’ve never seen that kind of thing done before, and I really like that! Kathleen didn’t seem to mind my random chatter. I think the prices are what is to be expected for downtown, but I will probably grab something closer to my place where I can drop in and not have to schedule an appointment.

i have seen many Groupons for mani/pedis at salons all over the city… but, this is the 1st one i have ever purchased. i did it on the strength of the description of their sterilization procedures. Kathleen the manicurist was extremely personable, professional, and detail oriented. i enjoyed the atmosphere of the spa space. it was small, but zen-like, very clean and well appointed. i enjoyed the entire process, thought the selection of colors… more than adequate, and the cleanliness… second to none. i have found my spa for all my future nail care. for me… sanitary conditions are my 1st priority, and Salon Sole, was A-1.

I waited a while to write this review… if I would’ve written it immediately after my experience, I probably would’ve rated it higher. My first problem was the difficulty finding the door to enter this place. Google maps definitely didn’t send me in the right direction. I called and called for about 15 minutes straight, with all my calls going to the«we’re busy» message before someone finally answered and told me to enter the 77 E Washington door(so I don’t know if there is actually an entrance on Michigan). Then I had to dig out my ID to give to the door person before being allowed up. I’m glad I actually even had my ID on me… As for the actual mani/pedi, the woman was nice and the facilities were clean. She did an excellent job of cleaning up the bottom of my feet, which is rare. But that’s kind of where it stopped. There were very few color choices and, like another reviewer, entire nails of polish came right off. It was the most bizarre thing. I’m wondering if she used some type of oil or something on my nails because, by the end of the day(and I didn’t even get the services until late afternoon), the polish was off of every single toe, and not chipped off, entire sheets of polish came off. So weird. I was super irritated because I was on my way to a lake house, which was the whole reason I got my toes done, but at least they came clean off so repainting was easy. I also misinterpreted the«hot stone massage» of the groupon for being a back massage but that’s my fault; I wouldn’t however spend the extra $ 15 to get the hot stone massage service added. It was by far, even with a groupon, my most expensive and shortest lasting mani/pedi.

Nice, relaxing nail experience. I also purchased the Groupon for the Mani/Hot Stone Pedi. Kathleen was great — very nice and very good! My feet feel awesome. I also likes that it wasn’t the usual nail shop and they take EXCELLENT care of their equipment. No worries about picking up something weird here. It’s a two person chair room and very relaxing.

Hello Unilocal. This is my 1st ever review… Strangest experience of my life. After getting over the fact that it was in a 4×4 room connected to a Dr’s office, later I had a bleeding toe to try and get over. While the esthetician was very nice(I will not discount that), my mani/pedi didn’t even last me 72 hours. 2 toenails and 1 fingernail have completely been removed of all polish. Not to mention, at the end of the mani, she disappeared and never came back. Yes, I saw myself out of this crazy place by myself. This was a groupon that I paid $ 40 for…“Mani/Pedi and a Hot Stone Massage.” The hot stone massage was portrayed by Groupon to be a massage on your back. Being that the picture was of a persons back, it was quite strange when the stone was placed under my foot. All in all… WEIRD experience and quite a waste of $ 40. Groupon and this place really need to communicate their services better.

I had such a pleasant experience at Salon Sole. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. It was so nice to get a pedicure without all the«chatter» and fumes. The lady was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The convenient location allowed me to take a break from work and relax. I will definitely be returning to this place!!!
