Security Doctors

At first I thought decent company but Not at all. We had a fire in our building after 4 months. Carlos installed brand new wireless system and we were told no issue if someone cut off or tamper. The system was alarmed when police arrived but their monitoring center didn’t receive any alarms and let us know.
We called monitor center after police called us 1:30am and told us that your build had fire. They told us that they don’t know any things since they don’t see any problem. What a surprise!
My question to them was when system tampered by someone or by fire damage? Should monitor center at least receive alarms then notify us so we can check it out? We didn’t receive any calls or alert.
Go figure

Our experience with Carlos was superb. He was quick to answer any questions and informed us how the whole process was going to be. We have now had the system for about 2 weeks and are getting used to it. We are happy that we chose Carlos and the Security Doctors as they’re local and don’t outsource their customer support to someone who doesn’t know me or my situation like ADT. Carlos is a personable guy and very pleasant to work with. Even my overly picky wife highly recommends him. That’s saying something.

Knowledgable, efficient and professional service. After a dreadful experience with ADT I contacted Security Doctors. Carlos answered all my questions, provided me with equipment that met my needs, removed the ADT junk and installed the new system. Everything has worked perfectly thus far. Called around to different security companies, by far Security Doctors was the nicest company to work with and most flexible with our needs. Carlos installed the security system for our business and things have been without issue. Two thumbs up. Definitely recommend.

Awesome service. Carlos came out and fixed my security cameras that COMCAST!!! Technician cut off and he was on camera when he did it so be careful when comcast comes to your house. I’m now in the process of trying to get my money for repairs back. Anyways, Carlos came out and fixed the problem for a reasonable price. He was very professional and did a neat and clean job. Now I got all my cameras up and running thanks to him. Defiantly recommend security doctors.

security doctors just installed our security system and we are so impressed. carlos was extremely professional and honest about everything from the start. he had knowledgable answers for all of our questions, and taught us thoroughly about our whole system. he helped us find a brilliant solution to wiring our garage, and we couldn’t be happier. i would absolutely recommend security doctors to anyone. give them a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

Very happy with my security install. Looked at ADT and they were telling me that I needed to put in all new smoke detectors seperate from the ones already installed. Carlos did exactly what he said he was going to do and followed up when I had questions on the system. Would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Carlos installed my security system. He is very professional and he said I could contact him any time with questions about the system. I am pleased with the system thus far. The equipment has a lifetime guaranty, unlike ADT. I was unhappy with ADT in part due to the costs to replace a broken remote and sensor. I recommend the Security Doctor. The equipment is very easy to use and Carlos walked me through everything.

Carlos was our first call when we moved into our home nearly three years ago. He was able to come check our home out the same day that we called. This company has great customer service. The owner, Carlos, was the person who came out for the quote, and also installed the system. He’s very nice and answered all of my questions. So far, the system works great.

I recently contacted Carlos at Security Doctors and am glad that I did! He was quite informative with my needs and addressed my wants for the security system. Very professional and even installed my system sooner than expected! System works perfectly and monthly monitoring is affordable. I am glad that I felt comfortable and not cheated with his services!

After researching alarm companies online and asking friends advice with little success, I found the Unilocal reviews. So I called Security Doctors to get more info and scheduled a security consultation. Carlos gave the consultation and impressed me with his knowledge and professionalism. After seeing the price quote, learning it was a Family business, and that Carlos would be doing the installation, I knew I needed to look no further and scheduled an install.
The install took a few hours and went smooth. Being in the construction industry myself and having hired contractors before I watched from afar for the first few minutes and quickly realized Carlos had «the right stuff». When the job was complete I was trained on the keypad, PC, and phone app. I will recommend Security Doctors to Friends and Family.

We moved into our new home with a new security system. We looked into various companies to add a few more monitoring devices in the home as well as compare pricing. We did tons of research on this– 3 months of researching and debating. The original company that installed the system had a limitation that they never revealed to us or our builders — with that system, no other company could monitor or install any new monitoring components. Being that they were double the price and had your typical salesman attitude, we looked to have the system exchanged out as well as add more motion sensors and glass breaks.
From the beginning we were impressed with Carlos with Security Doctors friendly, hoenst attitude. We were not sure if going with a smaller company would provide ‘less’ security but what we got was exactly comparable to all the others. But we got to work with someone who actually owns the company and installs the entire system himself. He also was honest about particular monitoring sensor we felt we should install that he told us was just an extra cost to us but not necessary needed unless we really wanted. He could have made money from us but was honest with what was needed. This was different from other big companies.
He kept the house and work areas very clean, which i certainly appreciated. The alarm monitoring pieces are all installed without wall marks or disruption to our new paint job. He was extremely thorough in reviewing the work as well as the use of the system with us. The other bonus is that with any problems you can contact him directly at all times which was reassuring to us.
Being that he owns the company, often installs the system himself, has competitive prices, and is very reliable, we would strongly recommend Security Doctors. They do have a central company monitoring the alarm once installed as do all the other companies so there does not appear to be any reasons why this small, locally owned company would not provide anything less than a larger, well known name.
Overall great experience from two very particular overly picky people.

same situation as the review before mine. former adt customer. tired of the monthly monitoring increases that dont match the equipment or services that your paying for. so i bumped into security doctors and carlos their rep. carlos was very informative over the phone. answered all my questions along with state of the art equipment that functions like its suppose to. carlos came out to the house and installed everything and answered all my questions along with throughly explaining everything that was done. contract was legit. and prices we’re very competitive and hard to pass up!!! carlos i appreciate all your help. hope someone reads this review and it sways them to deal with this company vs. any other chicagoland and surrounding suburb companies that are out there. security doctors are the best!!!

Fed up with ADT, their price increases, glitchy hardware, and horrible customer service, I decided to install a new alarm system at my business. After calling 3 local companies to inquire about product and pricing, I chose Security Doctors. Carlos was very professional and informative on the phone, and pricing was the most reasonable. The installation at my business was performed to my satisfaction, and Carlos explained the features and answered all of my questions.
Nine months later, the system has performed flawlessly and billing has been processed as per agreement.

Just got our security system installed at the new office a few months ago. The start-​up process was simple. I appreciated the thorough walk through they gave at the first meeting and they seemed much more knowledgeable than the other vendor who came in.
I really enjoy being able to arm and disarm the alarm from my mobile phone as well.
