Went on a short (3 hour) cruise with Set Sail Chicago. I had an absolute blast! The captain was fun to chat with, encouraged everyone to take turns steering and helping with the lines (if you wanted… if not, you could just sit back), and the views of the city were great. Highly recommended as something you should do at least once if you live in Chicago or the surrounds!

Great sailing experience! It was my first time, and I went with 5 other friends. Personable people/​captain and a clean, well kept sailboat. It was fairly priced for a 3 hour ride. The captain was experienced and knowledgable – great for all level sailors, which we had in our group. I would definitely go back and do recommend them. It’s a creative way to spend a summer afternoon if you don’t have regular access to a boat!

A friend of mine set up a sailing trip while I was still living in Chicago. I’d never gone sailing before and didn’t think I’d enjoy it. To my pleasant surprise, I had a great time, many thanks to the captain and the Set Sail Chicago company. The captain was very seasoned and allowed those who wanted to help sail/​steer do so while the rest of us lounged and leisured. The boat was immaculately clean and in great condition. The owner was very friendly when we arrived at the dock and made sure we were in good shape before seeing us off. The trip was well worth the reasonable price I paid to spend a beautiful Chicago day with friends.
