Established in 1953.

Sherry-​Brener Ltd. — originally an import and distribution company of fine musical instruments from around the world.

Our current primary goal at Sherry-​Brener Ltd. is to preserve and promote the beauty of folk instruments (versus electronic) through sales and by offering professional instruction. We are proudly inspired by our next door neighbor the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Meet the Business Owner

Jim S.

Business Owner

Jim Sherry has over 50 years experience in the music business. Originally an importer of fine classical guitars from Spain and Japan (which he distributed to retail music stores across the US). He personally knew (and sold guitars to) many great guitarists including Andres Segovia & Christopher Parkening. Mr. Sherry also published: «Guitarra Magazine» from 1960 to 1985.
