Michelle was amazing! She worked as my «day of» coordinator and was a blessing to my family that day. My father is disabled and we had a lot to juggle with his transportation etc. She took care of all the other details so what could have been massively stressful for the bride’s family totally wasn’t. She picked up all the little loose ends we didn’t even THINK about before the actual day, and was a huge help even before the event happened. Thanks Michelle for being FANTASTIC!

My wedding day was everything that I dreamed of, and more, thanks to Michelle at Silver Fern. She had some great ideas on how to make our large wedding work on a small budget while still making our guests feel as if they had been invited to share in on a very special event. Her coordination with the reception hall and vendors left us to enjoy the day as it happened as she was on hand for anything we needed. She set up the ceremony room and reception centerpieces flawlessly and made sure that all of our special touches all fell into place.
I would definely reccommend her services to anyone getting married in the Chicago-​land area. She is very knowledgable of the area and can help you find vendors and locations that will fit your budget/​price range.

This is as close to the exact quote that I can recall saying to my wife after the reception here in Chicago. While it may be a word or 2 inaccurate, the look on my wifes face in reply definitely said «YEAH! No kidding?!».
Michelle replied to a post I put up on the web asking friends if they had any idea of a good place for a reception in the city. She had gotten back to me letting me know of a few places she had heard good things about, as well as letting me know that she does event planning and if we needed any help to let her know. After meeting and agreeing on pricing (which was ridiculously affordable), the ball started rolling almost immediately. And kept on rolling as the vendor information started to come our way.
We didnt want 9 million emails about venues… and catering… and flowers… and linens… and DJs… and ALL the business that would have made our heads spin. We didnt want someone that would show us EVERYTHING letting us weed it out. We could have done that ourselves (and even tried for a while). What we wanted and needed was someone that would send us only the information that was appropriate to our needs. And she managed to know just what that was by simply asking the right questions, and listening. Shes smart, she had a lot of good suggestions, and shes organized. Of all the things that impressed us about Michelle the best part was her ability to just «get-​it». And without being harried, or busied, or put out… ever. She never once made it feel like she was doing a job. Even during the event it was like she wasnt there until somebody needed help something. Help with ANYTHING. We were able to have a good time without having to worry about anything. Completely awesome.
Not only were we impressed, but the owner/​manager of the venue came back to us saying what a pleasure she was to work with and hopes to do so again in the future. The DJ who was a little more frank about things even said «these wedding planners are usually a big pain in the ass to deal with, usually wont work with event planners, but she was actually really cool I was surprised…».
