DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Customer Service is HORRIBLE. The wait time to get your bed is at least 3 weeks, the delivery man didn’t come during the scheduled window, and then delivered the WRONG bed!!! Spent 1 hour on the phone with customer service to fix it, she spent part of the time trying to tell me that I HAD the right bed because the computer said it was delivered, and then the other part having me sit on hold because she couldn’t figure out her computer system. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told NO… DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Horrible horrible horrible! Don’t buy a bed if you expect to receive it this year. After staying home twice, they have cancelled my delivery at the last minute each time. I still haven’t received it and I bought it before Thanksgiving.

In regards to my bed which I purchased 3 years ago, I’d say it’s decent. I started at a #35, some rotator cuff damage and bad back later, I’ve changed to #70. Old age? Eh… I’m 36. Manner of sleeping? Maybe. Since I’ve changed, things dont hurt as much. So I don’t buy all the hub bub at the store with how the bed GRIPS your body. Your body changes so does your number. But it’s nice to know I can keep adjusting, hence the «decent» rating. CUSTOMER SERVICE… Oh boy… 6 ml the ago I recommended sleep number to a friend and he purchased one. He gave me as his referral. Sleep number has the $ 100 gift card or store credit or well, I don’t know what they call it anymore. So I waited to receive it. A month later, nothing! I called. Was told they were under going an overhaul of the system. They needed my order number… Gotta find the paper work. Cause my zip code did not produce much nor did my last name. Found my paperwork. Called back. Ok your «NOW» in the system, thank the lord I never needed warranty service. So now they ask… What’s your friends last name. Gave it to them, and nothing. What’s their address? I don’t know. Zip code? I don’t know? Do you know what store they ordered from? I don’t know. Order number? Seriously!!! Called my friend and received the info. Called sleep number, aha, they got it. 6 months later and multiple phone calls, oh and did I mention, «I have your info and someone will call you within 24 – 48 hours to help resolve this issue», they cannot help me!!! Wow!!! I have to call the store they purchased it at to receive my $ 100 reward thing. «If my friend, gave the store your info, they should be able to help you». At this point it’s principle, and I’m going to get my $ 100 reward, somebody is going to figure it out.

This store is great. Sam helped us pick out the perfect bed and gave us the full experience. Highly recommend coming here.

I’ve had my bed for about 2 years now and the bed itself is quite comfortable. However, it’s been broken for two months now and the support is horrible. I can’t get through to anybody via phone, email, or even chat. The one time I did, they told me it was a $ 175 trip charge (to diagnose), and then another $ 175 plus parts and labor for the repair which seemed a little out of line considering the bed itself was very expensive. When I asked to speak with a supervisor and they put me on hold, the line disconnected and I haven’t been able to get back in touch with anybody since. So frustrating.
I’m the kind of person that doesn’t mind spending my hard earned money on something nice, but I do expect the product quality to be there and to have at least a decent level of support. In this case, the latter just isn’t there.

Worst possible experience. We ordered a C4 in store, and were told there was a 4 week lead time. 3 weeks in, we call to find out status, we were told that we’d been given a free upgrade to a P5. (We ordered the C4 for a reason, because we WANTED it). And we were then told that if we wanted to switch back to a C4, it would be an additional 8 weeks. 11 weeks because their system is messed up beyond repair. Useless and rude customer service.
Stay away, spend less money somewhere else, and end up much happier.

I am writing this review at 1 am because I’m so incredibly angry that I purchased this bed. Absolute biggest waste of money ever. It literally feels exactly like a $ 40 air mattress we bought for a camping trip from Target. One of the worse parts about the bed is that the head of the bed, and the sides, seem to slant down a few inches before you get to the end, so you loose a lot of room on the bed. Also — if you actually love the person you are sleeping with and would like to cuddle once and a while this is a terrible purchase. It’s just two air mattresses pushed together, so there is a dent in the middle that you can’t sleep on.
I’m not complaining about the customer service because everyone has been really nice when I called to tell them we hated everything about the bed and would like to return it. Unfortunately, because we went on a long honeymoon immediately after purchasing the bed, it was already too late to return it. So now we’re stuck with this $ 3,000 air mattress.
DO NOT PURCHASE. I promise you will be disappointed. Worse. Purchase. Ever.

Great experience. My husband and I looked at a sleep number bed a few years ago out at Old Orchard. Decided to go with a traditional mattress. I have been sorry ever since. We walked in last Sunday and got the full treatment. Determining our sleep numbers, trying out all the various beds, the adjustable model. Pillows for how you sleep, mattress pads to help keep you cool. We left with an estimate with all the bells and whistles. Our salesman Sam was informative, but never a hard sell. We came back a week later to make our purchase, while the sale turned out to be about half the quote Sam made us feel just as important as our first visit.
I will give an update once we have slept on the bed for awhile, they offer a 100 night return or replace policy so no worries, but I am sure we will love it.
So if you are thinking about one of these beds check out the Clybourn store and ask for Sam.

I wish I would have read other customer reviews on here before purchasing a sleep number. My bed hasn’t even been delivered and I already hate it, and this company. My bed was scheduled 5 business days ago to be delivered tomorrow morning between 8am-​12. I had paid to reserve the elevator in my condo building during the times sleep number scheduled the delivery. I had also moved my previous bed out of my unit already so it would be easier for set up when they arrived tomorrow. Well… Guess what? Sleep number customer service decided to call me at 3:45 today (less than 24 hours before delivery) and let me know that they will not be delivering the bed and they do not know when they can schedule another delivery. I actually thought it was a joke at first. Then quickly realized how unreliable, unprofessional and rude this company is! They didn’t care about any of the troubles I went through. They bullshitted on the phone for a while after I tried to cancel the purchase. They then offered me a refund of the home delivery fee, (keep in mind they started running a special offering free delivery. so this, really isn’t sh*t in the grand scheme of things) I will now have had to pay $ 200 just to reserve the elevator so that refund meant nothing, thats the LEAST they could do is cover the cost for their ridiculous mess up. It’s even better that I also don’t have a bed nor do I know «when sleep number can reschedule»
This company has made it really obvious they do not care about their customers, or try and make up for all of the errors they caused. You would think by spending $ 3,000 and in many cases double than this that the Customer Service would be great… and the customer service here just sucks. It’s a shame considering my mom purchased a sleep number years ago, and my brother and I went to purchase our own sleep numbers. He wanted to wait until I got mine… but obviously I will make sure he steers clear of this company.
Worst $ 3,000.00 I’ve ever spent and I dont even have the product.

That’s my Sleep Number! Have you ever slept on one of these beds? If you really like it then great but it is kind of weird if you ask me.
I first remember seeing this product as an infomercial. Then hotels started putting them in. That was the first time I ever slept on one of these terrible beds. I hated it! So yes my sleep number is Zero, which is how I rate this bed. In fact, the only fun I could find in this bed was to lay in it, then deflate it and then inflate it. Yes I was trying to humor myself and try some fun use for this crazy air mattress. Air mattresses are for camping and sleeping on your buddies living room floor. They do not belong in a hotel or your bedroom. But that’s my opinion. I now refuse to stay at a hotel with the Sleep Number bed.
The other day I was walking down Clybourn and saw this new store. At first I was shocked that this place had evolved from infomercial to actual store front. I went in to check it out and then found out they have over 400 storefronts. Wow! What is great is that you can come in here and see how terrible this bed is. Try to sneak in my fun game when the sales person is not looking.
I am also sad because this place use to be a bar and they remodeled this place to be an air matress store. I am thinking in the next 5 years it will probably be a bar again. I think I saw that on the Mayan calendar.
So go and try it. What’s your sleep number? I know my number is never call me!!!
