Established in 2004.

My name is Doug. I started this business 9 years ago by simply giving out business cards to various businesses. I was able to attract a few clients and then from there it took off! My reputation as a business owner and worker spread throughout Chicago and its suburbs. Every client I currently have is very happy with our service and many of them we have kept for several years now.

Not only do I own this cleaning business, but I do the work myself along with my wife. We together take our work very personally and seriously and usually try to refrain from hiring other workers knowing that they will normally not give the same personal touch as we would. However, if need be, we do hire different workers but who are fully trained and we know them personally. We never hire people we are unfamiliar with.

Doug and his crew were fantastic! We hired them for a post-​construction cleaning job. He called to confirm and they showed up when they said they would. I even changed the original date and he was very flexible. We walked through the house, going over everything. This listened to all of my worries and made sure it was done right. They were there all day. Nice people and very thorough.
I overheard Doug talking with his folks about the best way to clean my stove and cabinets. He cares about how it is done. Nice to see!
The only feedback I have is that they needed to use my vacuum. It was no problem but it might be good to ask the homeowner if they have one. I didn’t used to own one (as we usually have hard wood floors only) so it’s possible to get somewhere and not have one to use. Luckily we did because they needed it for all the construction dust!

I cannot find enough words of praise for this company. They did a deep clean of my house the day after we closed. The kitchen had never been cleaned, the cabinets stuck together, the windows all had a film on them, (I could keep going).
They spent 8+ hours scrubbing my house back to life. They scoured the fridge, the oven, the sink was GLEAMING. All of my floors were shining, and the windows brought in so much light after they had finished. They dusted, wiped and cleaned all of the fans, the floor boards, the molding. Not one corner went untouched.
They took such thought and care as if it were their own house. They were such thoughtful and genuinely kind people. I would have them over to clean again in a heartbeat… and will.

Used Spar-​Klein for a deep clean before we moved into our new house. My husband and I have moved a few times over the last six years and have used a few businesses here in Chicago that were good, but not this good.
This was by far and away the most attentive, detailed, and amazing cleaning service we’ve ever had.
A few highlights of our service:
— older appliances look brand new
— windows and screens were all cleaned — what a night and day difference
— we had construction dust and Doug got every last inch
— they showed up with all of their own supplies and worked hard until the house was perfect
Doug and Valeria were professional and bring a level of integrity to the job which makes them worth every penny!

We had a rental unit that needed a deep clean after a couple tenants moved out. Doug certainly wasnt the cheapest option but I certainly do not regret hiring him — the place looks great. They did an excellent job, would hire him again for sure.

I had a guest visiting my place after a couple of weeks of back to back construction, so needless to say, dust was everywhere. Thankfully, Doug was up to the challenge.
All stainless steel appliances looked brand new. Wood furniture shined and bathroom… the bathroom looked amazing!
I got to admit. It was a big job and Doug didn’t take any shortcuts. Great price, but more importantly, I will use this service again.

Doug and Valeria at Spar-​Klean did a phenomenal job in cleaning our rental unit after our tenants moved out.
The kitchen stove was very greasy and the appliances looked like new when they were finished cleaning. They did a wonderful job cleaning the bathrooms.
They are very attentive and detailed and I would not only recommend them but continue to use them for our future projects.

Moved in to an apartment whose kitchen was covered in grease. The prior tenants had cooked with a wok for two years without cleaning. Couldn’t even open a cuppard, the grease was so tacky. Spar-​Klean is a husband/​wife team (Douglas and Venaria Bowman) that came over promptly and saved the day. They really know their cleaning agents and put a lot of care into their work. Also, they were totally cool about me leaving for dinner and coming back to the apartment to pay them later. So pleasant, prompt and careful. I don’t have a ton of experience with cleaning folks, but I really liked this couple. Hard to find people that care as much as they do.
