From our very first meeting with Carly at Sprout Home we felt like we had found our floral designer. She really listened to what our ideas where and took the time to look through photos that we were inspired by as well as photos of the venues for our wedding and reception. This was all in our first meeting! In working with Carly she made some suggestions to tweak our arrangements, including some subtle color pops that we were originally hesitant about, but seeing them in person at our event it’s clear the level of talent and intuition the team at Sprout Home has! The flowers were definitely a highlight of our event and there were so many compliments from our guests. What’s even more amazing to me is that as our wedding neared, so did Carly’s and our project was passed over to Stephen (another designer on the team) who then took the lead as the floral designer for the day of our event. There was such a seamless transition, there was consistent communication from both Carly and Stephen and as I noted above the flowers were amazing! It takes a very cohesive team to transition as flawlessly as they did. I would highly recommend the team at Sprout Home for your event.

It’s an adorable little shop with super cool offerings, but it’s the staff that take the cake. They’re experts on everything in store and will impart this knowledge to you so that you aren’t a plant murderer.
Cute little succulents, trees, weird plants you’ve never seen before, carnivorous little guys, plus classes make this a must-​visit for all your planting and gardening needs.

Sprout Home provided the bouquets and boutonnières for our winter wedding. It was honestly the most painless process of all the many, many little details of our big day. My mother and I walked in one evening without an appointment, sat down with Carly and talked about what we wanted, showed her a picture of my dress and a couple of pictures of what I was thinking. We got an email a few days later with a contract complete with photos of what they had come up with and that was that.
Our wedding was Friday, February 13^th, aka the day before Valentine’s Day so we decided to pick up the flowers ourselves the morning to not have to deal with delivery on the busiest day of the year for flower shops. Even though they had many other flowers to attend to, our bouquets and boutonnières were exactly what I had hoped for.
In a testament to how well the bouquets were prepared, my grandmother was brought one the day after the wedding in celebration of her 90^th birthday and 8 months later it is in almost the same condition, just dried, brightening the windowsill of her nursing home room.

Was really excited to visit Sprout for the first time after hearing such great things. The store has a wonderful selection of plants and merchandise but I will not be going back. After making my purchase (about $ 60) I asked if I could use the potting station/​have help transferring my plants to a planter to make sure I was planting them correctly. I was told by both the checkout clerk and another employee that they weren’t really set up for that kind of thing and couldn’t help. The clerk suggested I sign up for one of their paid classes instead.

I came back to buy a pot I needed. I enjoy coming here more than the «big box» stores because they have hand thrown pots that are lovely to look at and functional. Again, I had a great time poking around and checking things out. If you enjoy reading about plants/​gardening/​etc– they do have a selection of books as well.

I go here and the world seems softer, brighter, and slightly less cruel for a second.
Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Great selection. A little pricey, but my heart tells me it’s worth it.

I really like this place. Very well stocked for the urban gardener. The plants are at good prices, but they kill you on the prices for containers and watering cans.
Sometimes the staff is too cool to help you out, but if you seek then out, they will be tremendously valuable.

Oh, no.
I came in yesterday to pick up the palm I had put on hold and a few other things. I went to the register and there was a guy with glasses sitting there typing on the computer. He didn’t acknowledge me at all, so I said, «Can I ask you a question?» and he gestured to his computer and said tersely, «In a minute.» So I waited a little longer and I said, «This question will literally only take 30 seconds,» as it was a quick yes or no question. He then freaked out, rolling his eyes, gesticulating wildly with his hands at his computer, at me, at himself in apparent exasperation and said, «I SAID a minute!» The rudeness was cartoonish. At this point I said, ‘Don’t worry about it, I’ll ask someone else.” As soon as I left, he immediately rang up the people standing behind me in line. And by left, I mean I walked out the door. I was ready to spend at least $ 200 and I left it behind because I can order plants on the internet or any of the countless other plant stores in this city without being treated like an obnoxious child by a guy wearing a shirt that says «Daddy» all over it.
Don’t sit at the register if you can’t handle people coming up to you to ask you questions. Give him something to do in back where he’ll never have his perfect concentration so rudely trampled by the likes of me.

Sprout is as good as it gets. I recently needed two standout floral arrangements for a wedding-​themed photo shoot, so I sent Carly a few photos from Pinterest for inspiration. I left the rest to the Sprout team and they truly knocked it out of the park, choosing on-​trend colors and florals that made the arrangements the star of the shoot (seriously, everyone on set kept commenting on how beautiful they were). When it comes time for me to actually get married (and not just create a make-​believe wedding for work!), I know who I’ll call first. Thanks, Sprout Home!

All I can say is that this place is truly amazing! When I moved to Chicago, the previous owner of the apartment left behind a «lucky bamboo» plant. After a few years, the stalks were thinning out and the tops were growing larger. The plant began to bend and turn in all sorts of directions. I did not want to throw it away as it was sentimental to me (I know, it’s sort of crazy). Anyhow, I took the plant here to see what can be done. They were so kind, knowledgable, and eager to help me. They shortened the stalks, replanted them with growing hormone, raised the soil level, and even gave me this amazing fertilizer for the stalks that needed to root. One month later, the stalks have grown roots!!! AMAZING!!! (Online, it said it could take several months.) I am so glad that they were able to revive my plant! Will definitely come back!

Sprout was super cute with an eclectic collection of art incorporated with plants. They have tons of options to choose from, including an amazing collection of cacti. My friend ended up buying a few cacti and a succulent. The girl working the counter arranged them in a dish for her to take home and it looks really nice. I will be returning to buy my next plant!

What a wonderful little store! The place is stacked with plants large and small, both hanging and standing. Upon walking in, I’m pretty sure I forgot that the rest of the world existed, and instead entered into a fairy tale land where all things are bright and green.
The staff is super helpful and friendly, and the plants are just magnificent! Decent prices, too. If you decide to buy your pots there, they will pot them for you for a small fee. Will definitely be returning!

Charming store, fully stocked with all the indoor and outdoor plants you could possibly require. Ask Stephen for help if you’re unsure what will work in your space. He’s wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable.
Lovely floral department for those special occasions. Ellen is one talented woman! Every arrangement I’ve commissioned from her has been beautiful and unique.
Every person I’ve met in this store is a gem. Because it’s small, it’s often crowded. If you have questions you might have to be patient, but they will be answered! Their employees really do care about plants and design and want you to have the best knowledge possible to take care of your little green babies.

Sprout Home, and our designer Ellen, were great in every way. We used them for just personal flowers, no décor, for a small wedding. We called a number of florists, and Sprout Home gave us the best price and the most helpful storyboard previews of what the flowers would look like, which was very helpful since I was planning from another city (and in fact never met Ellen in person, although we spoke on the phone and she is super nice). They never made us feel like small fry even though our order was just for a few bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. They were also very flexible when our numbers and needs changed. Most of all, the flowers looked incredible. They held up well too, including a cluster of flowers made for my hair.
We did stop by the shop briefly once, and it is charming.

Bought a plant here for my mother for mother’s day and I was impressed.
The space is amazing, it’s half indoor and half outdoor and beautiful everywhere.
The staff is all so friendly and excited to talk to you about your gardening/​planting needs. They also sell a lot of cool little terrariums and figurines to put in those terrariums.
If you’re looking for anything flower/​plant related, this is a place you need to check out.

I’ve loved Sprout SINCE we lived in Brooklyn. This location is also magical.
Also, I worked with Catie (over the phone) to arrange for some fun bouquets and terrariums to be delivered to my office —- and she SAVED THE DAY with all of her suggestions and helpfulness.

I love sprout home!
Although it’s not the most conveniently located plant store to me (actually none of them are) the journey is always worth it. Compared to Gethsemane, the stock is on the smaller side, but Sprout always has their idiosyncratic plants that always brings me back.
The staff were very attentive and on point, never once did I actually need to look for help, because they were all already on it.
The only thing that I have against this place is that they put their beautiful plants in equally beautiful pots that increases the price three fold, which makes me want to buy a beautiful pot to put my beautiful plant in, thus saying goodbye to my beautiful money.
I need to work on willpower.

Most adorable florist/​plant store I have ever been to! Was recently here to replace some of my deceased succulents (yes, I have a hard time keeping plants alive, even succulents) and to get some fresh garland for our mantle for the holidays.
The staff was really helpful and friendly at helping me find and pick out appropriate garland I was looking for, even giving me some tips on how to keep it from drying out prematurely.
Inside the store, it’s a steamy tropical environment (beware of fogged up eye glasses) with a ton of unique plants ranging from teeny tiny air plants, to succulents, cacti, all the way to large rubber tree plants and a large cooler of neat flowers.
They have a large selection of adorable pots and terrariums as well to make your Pinterest inspirations come to life. As an added bonus for a small fee, they will pot any of your plants you purchase there in their vessels.
In addition to the plants/​flowers/​pots, they also have a small array of great gift ideas. They also frequently host terrarium workshops which look really fun. Just wish they were a little closer to my neighborhood, but the trek there is worth it!
