History

Established in 1975.

Prior to starting his own tax practice in 1975, Shiv R. Jhawar served as a Chief Accounts Analyst at CBS, a well-​known television network in Chicago.

In April 1979, Jhawar received the Enrolled Agent license, which means he is licensed by the United States Treasury to represent taxpayers in audits, collections and appeals before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Because Enrolled Agents come under the jurisdiction of the Federal Government, not the States, they can practice before the IRS in all 50 states.

SRJ consulting has been an IRS approved e-​file provider ever since 1986 when the IRS first began the e-​filing program for individual tax returns.

Business Owner

Shiv R Jhawar, EA, MAS is federally licensed tax expert with over 4 decades of tax accounting practice in Chicago. He is enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.

Jhawar, profiled in Wikipedia, holds a Master of Accounting Science degree from the University of IL at Urbana-​Champaign. Prior to starting his tax practice in 1975, Jhawar served as a Chief Accounts Analyst at CBS in Chicago. Alongside his own practice, he has taught tax accounting at various colleges and has held stock broker and real estate broker licenses.

Jhawar, with keen interest in computer programming, has written his own accounting software that he uses in his tax accounting practice. He is also the author of the inspiring book, Building a Noble World.
