Stephanie Joe, MD

Dr. Stephanie Joe and her team are the very best ever and my family are eternally grateful for what she did for our mom. We HIGHLY recommend Dr. Joe. My mom was having problems with what she thought was post nasal drip and her primary care physician ran tests that found a serious issue. We were referred to Dr. Joe. From the very first time we called her office we found her staff to be kind, considerate, and extremely helpful. We expected to go to her office and be rushed. That was not the case. We found Dr. Joe to be very friendly and knowledgeable. She took her time with my mom and explained everything that was going on and what she needed to do in order to repair it. Dr. Joe was very clear in explaining the risks vs. rewards and really set my mom’s mind at ease. She ran more tests and was absolutely sure about what needed to be done. The day of the procedure Dr. Joe was able to use a less invasive method, which really eased my mom’s fears and made recovery time a lot shorter. We pray that my mom never has this issue again; however, we know that Dr. Joe will be our first call if it ever decides to re-​occur. Thank you, Dr. Joe, for allowing God to use you to perform a miracle for my mom!

I am changing ENTs because of where I work now. Dr Joe is the 3^rd ENT I saw while ENT shopping. Luckily I don’t need any more sinus or ear surgeries now (I had 3 sinus surgeries and 2 ear surgeries). Dr Joe was the 5^th doctor who mentioned additional allergy testing and shots. I am on 4 different allergy medications and still have major problems. I did mention to Dr Joe that unless the shots included treating me for dusts and molds, I wasn’t interested. All 4 other doctors said they would not treat me for dusts or molds (my worst problem besides dogs). Dr. Joe said its more difficult to treat for dusts and molds, but they would do it. AND I was even more surprised to hear they can give shots for dog and cat allergies (Luckily I’m not allergic to cats). The last ENT I went to (not dr joe) wanted to operate on my mastoid bone (part of the skull) every year. Dr Joe agreed if that bone isn’t causing problems to let it be. YAY

My experience with UIC and Dr Joe has been a personal nightmare.
anyone planing to have surgery done at UIC should seriously reconsider.
The whole department is dirty and unorganized and the whole staff has little regard for
their patients. My life has been permanently effected by my decision to let Dr Joe perform surgery on me. Please don’t make the same mistake.
