Comcast sucks for a bunch of reasons not the least of which is the highway robbery expense and now they won’t even allow subscribers who already pay for STARZ to use the STARZ app!

Comcast gets a bad rap for their customer service, and most of it’s deserved, but this place was pretty great. You can definitely feel the influence from the Apple Store a few blocks away.

Run! Don’t ever ever get their home security system. Cheap, always malfunctioning, and a waste of time and money. I’m getting mine removed, and I dare them to charge me an early termination fee.

I wish I could leave a 1 star review. I contacted Comcast to cancel my cable due to an outrageous monthly bill. At 705 pm I made my first call explained my concerns and that I need to cut my cable and only continue my internet services. I received a price from the billing department that I was happy with. Ann from the billing department say’s ok I will transfer you to the cancellation department to remove the cable and update your account. Cancellation department informs me that the price that the billing department gave me is not the price they could offer me. Now lets fast forward to 915 pm 2 hours later 4 people from the billing department later and 3 people from the customer solutions department later I finally get the price I was promised. After 2 hours and 4 times being bait and switched. Next morning I call to confirm my service and price and well do I even have to explain… They say my bill will be 29.00 more a month HAHAHA. Hello PlayStation TV for only 39.00 a month. They Do not care about there customers period.

100% of the time I get a monthly bill it is wrong. I literally feel like each month, I am being stolen from. Having to talk to someone in customer service for a minimum of 1 hour EACH MONTH is no way to run a business! 14 calls in 4 months… not worth it. Then reps promise to call you back with a permanent solution. And, nothing. There are literally no other solutions left but to tell everyone to never use Xfinity.

Studio Xfinity is an amazing venue! Competing with the likes of Apple and Samsung Comcast has found is niche! I’ve been here twice for corporate events and have enjoyed myself. They have all of the newest technologies including games you can play on your Xfinity device!

Cable companies in general are the worst, but this one may be trying to win some awards for it. Customer service is generally terrible and technicians never seem to know what they’re doing.
My last experience with a technician is one for the record books. He came within his scheduled time slot to install my internet. Got there, played with some wiring for a very long time and didn’t actually seem to know what any of the wires did. He was inside and outside saying things like he might need to come back if… or he might need to reschedule if… Eventually he said he figured it out. When it came time to install the internet modem itself, he told me that the modem I had was wrong. At this point, instead of rescheduling my appointment or scheduling me a new one, he asked me where I got the modem from, when I told him Best Buy (that’s another story) he asked how close the nearest Best Buy was. When I told him about 15 minutes away, he told me to go and exchange the wrong modem for the right one (?) and come back and he will install it because he didn’t have many other appointments that day. So I went and as I was on my way back, within 5 minutes of my house, I get a call from Comcast customer service telling me that this is taking too long and my technician is on a tight schedule and has to leave and that customers cannot leave during their appointments. I told her that it was my technician that told me to leave and I would be back in 5 minutes, but she asked me if I wanted to reschedule for 4 days later, which would be a mid day appointment on a Tuesday. I told her that would not work but I’m almost home. When I got back home, the technician had left already. When I called customer service to explain this situation, they told me they were «sorry» but could not get me another appointment until that Tuesday which does not fit in my work schedule anyway. They said they would call me the following morning and see if they could squeeze me in for a last minute appointment, but obviously that call never came.
Did you know that they still charged me the $ 50 installation fee for this technician to do nothing? They said they would credit my account for half of that money but LOL I still don’t have the internet!
Customer service is a concept lost on some…

I honestly can’t believe I’m defending anything related to Comcast. From what I garner from the heavily negative reviews on this site for this place is they are aimed at Comcast itself and the way they operate their customer service, which is well deserved but just misplaced. Visiting this place, I do feel that whatever grievance you have with this soulless, clueless conglomerate, will be heard by an attentive, human, local staff member. And you get a free cup of coffee outta your visit. I’m glad this place exists while I have to be a Comcast customer (Google fiber can’t show up soon enough!), I now feel that I can visit this place and not have to deal with their incompetent help line.

The Xfinity store on Weed Ave is like no other. The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. I dreaded needing to go in and get a new box because the horrible experiences people have had at other locations. Let me tell you, this place raises the bar for customer service! Thank you Ramon for all of your help!

Lol. Wow clearly Comcast sucks based on the average star rating. I’ve had intermittent Internet for 3 months now which sucks cuz I work from home and rely on consistent internet. Comcast said it wasn’t their issue. 4 new routers, 15 hours on the phone, and 2 service calls later they determined it was an engineering issue on their end. I was supposed to get a call within 24 hours about a possible fix. It has been over a week. I literally have 10 minutes of Internet and then no internet for the next 20 and so on. It’s getting really annoying just sitting at my computer in hopes of catching the windows of Internet.

Over the last few months a message kept appearing on the TV screen
saying it was time to update our system, which basically meant they wanted
to get the older equipment outta here and update us to the newer package.
So, we checked into all the details and decided to go with the new X1 package.
Now, we had a choice of either bringing in the old equipment and installing
the new stuff ourselves or having a technician person come on out and handle
it for us.
We chose the latter since none of us here are technically inclined.
So, our appointment was set for yesterday and we were given a 2 hour window
which was between 1pm-​3pm and they actually showed up at 2:30pm.
So, props to Studio XFinity for keeping their word as to when they’d arrive.
So, XFinity’s Tech Guy came in, George was his name and he switched out the
boxes and connected the cables and set everything up.
I liked George, he was polite and courteous, and efficient!
And he introduced himself to Trouble C, Major props for that!
In between installations we even discussed a few things, like Snakes, and Rats,
yadda yadda…
I hope XFinity is treating George well cause he deserves it!
The whole installation process went on without a hitch.
Now, I gotta say, I’m loving this new XFinity X1 package, it’s very sleek and
modern.
And, besides the premium channels they are offering me over 3,100 Free
Movies, yes, I said Free!
But, the Best thing of all is they have a Horror Cinema Option where
I can choose between almost 300 Movies. Ahhh…
Hey, I’m 54 and still loving Horror Movies, so Sue Me!
Seriously Folks, this X1 Package is Da Bomb, and you should check it out!

Ugh, relatives in Chicago have to deal with these monsters on a regular basis. Slow internet due to an aging infrastructure? Okay, I get that. Bogus charges for returned equipment no matter how many return receipts you give them? Nope, that’s just criminal. Avoid these scumbags.
You will be charged for equipment that was never requested. You will be charged for equipment that was never delivered. When you do order equipment and you finally decide to cancel your plan they’ll keep charge you for that until you close your bank account or cancel your credit card. Then, after you’ve gone through all that trouble they’ll spitefully wreck your credit score.

Just stopped by to return my cable box. They have a fancy new interior. I count 12 Comcast employees working, but only 2 that are actually helping people, the rest are standing around. I’ve been here for 20 minutes and they’ve helped 4 people. 4 more to go until I can return my box so they don’t charge me an extra $ 10 a month. There’s like 8 TV’s on and they all have something different on, I wish they put more effort into making their customer service more efficient instead of trying to distract you from remembering how long you have been waiting for something that should take 37 seconds for them to do.

I really mean to review Comcast new cell phone ad attack on us all. Minimum 50% of the time I open my phone to do a safari search up pops a full screen page of xfinity looking like you can log in to get wifi connection. It’s s gross invasive ad campaign that they think is very clever/​smart. I now loathe the name xfinity and Comcast as a result of this assault on my cell phone. To add insult they’ve somehow succeeded in making it so I cannot scroll back to my original search page and have to start all over again. This is a policy Comcast should stop.

I don’t know about the canceling of services, but this service center is far better than it used to be. It used to be a snaked customer line of people in a dirty white room with customer service behind the wall. It is now an open room with huge tv’s and comfortable seating with a person greeting you at the door, taking your name and giving you a number. The service center itself is a huge improvement from what it was. The new voice activated remote is pretty cool also, especially the «last» feature which gives you the choice of multiple last channels you were on. Not sure I like the new default way of navigating channels through the guide, channel numbers in general need to be redone with the addition of HD.

It is nearly impossible to downgrade services or cancel. You cannot do it online (even though you are able to add or upgrade services easily).
Billed me for more than agreed amount, then imposed late fees.
Very crooked company. Poorly trained customer service, who just try to upsell you instead of listening. Beyond terrible. It is unconscionable how they misuse their market monopoly along with AT&T in various locations.

I couldn’t imagine a worse company. They seem to go out of their way to make people miserable. If they weren’t a virtual monopoly they’d be out of business.

Worst phone support service I have ever had in my entire life!!!
Transferred to the western tech support 2 times in 1 hour.
Asked about VOIP phone service and they kept trying to push analog service on me.
I was told I couldn’t use my equipement and needed to buy there equipment at $ 1295. Then the next rep said my VOIP phones should work.
I don’t know who to beleive anymore!!! I need 1 contact that will work for me, because Comcast as a whole has become so confused on what you can or can’t do or provide.

Moved to Chicago last week. We’d heard horror stories about Comcast, but we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. As if we had a choice — they’re the only provider in our area. Since there hadn’t been service in our unit since 2012, they said they needed to send a technician out to re-​establish service. An appointment was scheduled five days out. Fair enough. The night before our scheduled service, we called to confirm our appointment for the following morning. They informed us that our work order had been improperly scheduled by the representative that we met with the previous week, thus voiding our pending work order. Over an hour on hold and multiple transfers to «supervisory» departments, we’re back to square one. If you can avoid these guys, by all means do. The representatives on the phone are friendly enough, but will get you nowhere.

I generally believe that Unilocal needs a negative star setup courtesy Comcast. Or at least 0. C’mon Unilocal.Comcast doesn’t deserve 1 star. Here’re the specifics now. I just started a Dental Office and the original sales person Robyn-​Caldwell kept trying to push an expensive contract. I asked if there were any specials, she said no and I found one right on their site for $ 119/​month for 50MBps and cable and phone. $ 0 install and a $ 99 gift card for 24 month contract. I signed that contract. At first, the tech comes and says there’s signal so no issues but when someone came to install, they said there’s no service here. Strike 1.
Then, I recieved my first bill-​$ 282. I emailed Robyn and she assured me not to worry and that it’ll be fixed right away. About a month later then someone called threatening to cancel my service if I didn’t pay the bill. I logged in and now the bill was $ 481. The gentleman’s name was David. I put Robyn on a 3-​way. She apologized and said not to worry as it’ll get corrected. She assured that David will call me at 3pm that day. This was on Sept 2^nd. I got email assurances again to not worry. I went ahead and started advertising online regarding my Dental practice on Sept 7^th and 8^th expecting a flurry of calls. Sept 9^th, the staff went in and alas, my phones don’t work, the software doesn’t work, the alarm system had been off the whole night and we couldn’t see patients or take calls etc etc.
I was furious and called Comcast. After 2 hours of complaining they started the service again but not a single apology even as courtesy and no supervisor has yet called. I’l update this review based on what happens next!

I only have their «high speed» internet. When it works it’s great, but every evening with out fail speeds tank. Even with a speed test showing a download speed of 50mbps it just took 3 minutes for this page to load. Will go reset everything again and hope for the best.
Their customer service is also a sorry excuse for «service» but they sure as heck want you to buy more of their garbage services every time you call! I am a happy TV cord cutter and cannot wait till this company fails and has some competition. Literally the only high speed internet service available in my area.

Comcast is absolutely the worst. I wish there’s no star button in Unilocal.I don’t have Internet service for 1 month. And they got my address wrong. Are you freaking kidding me??? I thought everybody working at Comcast speaking English as a first language. What the hell is wrong with this company?
AND THE FUNNY THING IS THEY CANNOT CHANGE MY FUCKING ADDRESS!!!

Absolutely unclear, and downright deceitful final installation price. I paid $ 40 for a «technician install» and another $ 20 for «product install» and finally a «one time installation charge». ONly 1 of which was told before I received the confirmation e-​mail.
I will bereporting this practice to the BBB.

I would like to cancel my service that hasn’t even started yet. I was supposed to have installation on Monday ⁶⁄₁ from 8−9am. I took the morning off from work so that I would be home during the install. Nobody came, so I went to work at 9:30am. At 9:42am the tech called me and said he could come back the same night between 6:15p-7p, so again, I took time off of work to be available for the 2^nd appointment.
Again nobody came and nobody called so I called customer service only to be transferred 3 times and finally told that somebody would contact me Tuesday ⁶⁄₂ morning. Again, nobody reached out to me so I called you guys FOR THE SECOND TIME to be told AGAIN that the issue had been escalated to the dispatch people and that I would FOR SURE be contacted by Wednesday the latest. Here we are now on Thursday and I haven’t heard anything and don’t want any part of Comcast moving forward.

Goodbye expensive cable bill. Goodbye wasting hours of my life on the phone with «customer service». Goodbye weekly cable outages. So long Comcast. Just dropped off all my equipment and no more stress in my life.

If I could give a zero star I would. Comcast customer service is the worst service I have ever experienced.
I decided to call Comcast to see where the technician was. The Customer Service Representative mentioned that the technician was backed up and wouldn’t be able to install my service today. I asked her why? She said that he was scheduled with 10 appointments between 8:00a.m. and 10:00a.m. CST today. I asked her how he would be able to complete that many appointments in 2 hours. She said, he can’t that’s why he’s running late.
How awful is that to completely set up an employee for failure and disappoint customers? Comcast can’t afford to hire more technicians to meet the demands of the business or what? I feel sorry for the technician who can’t do his job well, because from the start of the day he is set up to fail and anger customers.
She said that she could re-​schedule me for another day later this week, which is completely unacceptable to me. I took a ½ day off from work to have the cable installed.
4 days later the tech arrives, but my order was messed up. They had me down for one box when I needed 2.
The 2^nd box after 1 day doesn’t work. I can either wait a week & ½ for a tech to come out or pay $ 35 + shipping to have one delivered. This is so unacceptable to say the least.
If u’re thinking about switching to Comcast please don’t do it. PLEASE

They are one of the worst part of living in chicago. Unfortunately for fast internet we don’t have many options. They love to give you decent deals loaded with weird fees then when your «deal» expires you get jacked around until you beg/​threaten your way into a new «deal». Classic bait and switch. My favorite is when you call to complain that they’ve jacked your bill up 200% when the deal expires and they tell you that your still getting a great deal! its discounted from the «actual» rate. Oh you have an outdated modem from 5 years ago? still gonna have to pay 10 $ per month for that.
Honestly I’ve had great luck with the people installing the equipment, they were on time and super nice. Their business practices and methods for ripping customers are seriously messed up though.

Any other business with 300 reviews and one star would be bankrupt.
Not Comcast. They are awful.
I called for a new install. They showed up late. Rang the bell and drove off. I literally chased after the truck while calling customer service. They told me that once the installer left the property that I would have to reschedule. No thank you.
I called AT&T uverse. I feel like they legally rob me of $ 250 each month but it works and they come when you call.

Disconnected 4 out of 4 times. Before reaching a customer service representative. Instances like this is when Unilocal!is a very handy application.
I left my number 3 out of 4 times for Comcast to call me back about my experience, but since their automated answering service disconnected me before getting to an account representative each time I’m not sure I’ll get to vent my frustrations to a machine or a person.
My internet hasn’t been working great for a few months and has ceased to work for the last couple of days.
At this point I’m so frustrated that I am taking the situation to Unilocal!electronically and to the office via snail mail.
Comcast– not recommended.
