Suburban Bank & Trust Company

This is a TERRIBLE bank. I signed up for their rewards checking account, which was supposed to pay 4% if you met a number of requirements, including debit card usage, direct deposit, and electronic statements. I met all requirements and received my interest for the first two months. The bank then did not pay me interest the following month, stating that they have a policy of cancelling electronic statements if you do not log into the account online every month. So, I lost that month’s interest for a hidden requirement that was not documented anywhere (and the bank would not reverse the decision). I then pulled most of my money out of the account. Now, I see that they have charged me $ 300 in fees since then, because they say that they had a piece of returned mail, which they charge a fee for, and that it put the account in overdraft, which they charge $ 6 a day in fees for. I checked the fee schedule on their website, and it still says that the account is completely free with no monthly fees, and I have never moved while having this account to have a piece of returned mail. STAY FAR AWAY from this bank! You will LOSE MONEY by having an account with them. Absolutely terrible company.

This is where I do my banking and I’ve always been happy here.
The tellers are always friendly and I have never had any issues.
