Swift Car Care has been family owned serving the south side of Chicago since 1982 at our convenient Ashland location. Jose Mora is a dedicated owner that has been in the automotive industry since 1982. His two daughters, Karina and Melissa have also worked along side him in the business.

The guys at Swift Car Care are the best. First, the waiting room. Spacious, clean, bright and comfy. There is coffee and water as well as books, movies and toys for the kids. There is also WIFI so you can get some work done while you wait. Which is exactly what I am doing now:-)
Then the estimate! The guys walk you through the problems with your car and provide you with various repair scenarios that hit different price points. They also work with your budget which is fantastic.
Finally, the repairs themselves are great. The price is fair and reasonable. There are also coupons for little jobs like oil changes, etc.
This is our neighborhood mechanic and we love that we have such a great place to take our cars. Thanks Swift Car Care!

My car was towed here to get serviced, they quoted me $ 717 after looking at the problem. They tried to rip me off! After I told them that was outrageous, the price suddenly started to come down. I didn’t feel comfortably after that, so I took my vehicle to a local mechanic. The local mechanic told me the part I need was only $ 35. The problem was fixed for a total of $ 60. Please avoid Swift Car Care if you value your money.

I went in for an oil change and came out with my check engine light on. While they do offer a cheaper price $ 20, you get what you pay for. My car is not running smoothly any more and now I have to deal with engine problems. In true mechanic nature, they tried to offer me a new batter and installation for $ 150. Can you say ripoff? I definitely will not be back.

Took the tie rod ends and ball joints off the «hammer» a while back. Bought OEM parts and reinstalled them myself. Only to find out that any time this is done one needs to take their auto into the garage for a «realignment». This explained the reason my steering wheel was out of alignment with my tires, plus my dust boot and brake shield in pretty sh! tty condition too. Called them up and dropped it off the next day. They did just as I asked nothing more, nothing less. Flash forward several months to some very shabby looking tires with an expected 1200 mile trip ahead of them. I opted to spring for new tires instead adhering to my old, cheap ways. One thing you must understand is that these aren’t tires for a jetta, or Honda civic. These are tires for a heavy pickup truck. Also they needed to be «all weather» tires, in translation, even more expensive. So I was looking at a pretty expensive bill with new tires, installation, and balancing. I wanted top of the line of course, but they were out of the price range. Luckily the owner called a dealership and found a set that had been on a floor model (with no wear on them) for cheaper, plus with the warranty. I take a star off because they took longer to get it done than they told me but, still did exactly as they said they were going to. They also get a star back for throwing out the empty beer cans in the cab and bed, as I assume now it is quite illegal to have.
