Taqueria Diversey

I love this place, I’ve been ordering from here for at least 10 years, I think. Super fast on delivery and always good food. The people are always friendly and great to deal with. So my favorite part about ordering from here is that they can charge your card at the door which beats the hassle of having to give the card over the phone.

OMG! Thiis place has the best tacos! So authentic. PArking is hard to find and they only take csh but they are Great!

I just had the WORST customer service experience. We order from this place quite often when we are in the mood for tacos. I usually order the guacamole and chips (small) with very little tomato and cilantro, it’s normally ok. This time was not the case. The guacamole was full of tomatoes and cilantro. I called and informed the supposed «Manager». She proceeded to come across like I was bothering her and she never made any attempt to apologize, if anything her attitude came across as if to say, how dare you complain. She responded «Well I don’t know what to tell you, it says on here little tomato and cilantro so I don’t know, do you want me to replace it and if you do, you have to give the other one back (which I didn’t mind since it was untouched) and you have to wait 45 mins (I only live a few blocks away.). I said fine and we ended the call.
I thought about her rudeness for about two minutes (literally) and I called back and informed her that she could cancel the replacement and I will be throwing out the guac because I did not appreciate being made to feel bad for bringing it to her attention. She responded «Well it’s already done so do you still want it?» (You just said forty five minutes) so I said no and I told her that she came across cold, rude and she made no attempt to seem interested in what I was saying when I called earlier. Her response «Sorry you feel that way but I can’t testify to what your guac looks like so I don’t know if it’s full of tomatoes and cilantro (because I would spend my day lying about a $ 5 item). I asked if there was anyone else in charge. She said no, I’m the manager. So I responded (having had enough of the attitude) «Well your customer service skills suck, how hard is it to say «I’m sorry for the inconvenience or I’m sorry for the error in your order let me send you a new one? How difficult is it to treat your customers with appreciation for their business. She was silent. So I told her since she seems not to give a damn. I’ll take my business elsewhere when we do order out and I hung up.
Too much drama for something that could have easily been resolved with a simple «I’m sorry for the error.»

Have been coming to this restaurant for years now and I am always a fan of their sopes. They are crunchy and not too thick which I like. I usually get al pastor or carne asada meat but my mom always gets the chicken flautas and she likes them as well.
Also try their agua de horchata… one of the best ones I’ve tried! Their prices are reasonable and probably on the cheaper end of the scale for good Mexican food. I will continue to come here for sure!

I really enjoyed the food here until i saw the waitress take a bowl of salsa from another table, cleaned the inside rim and add more salsa to bring it to my table… talk about disgusting! Don’t believe me? Pay attention to the salsa bowls, all the food gets tossed but the half used salsa bowl gets set to the side… wonder why?! They clean the rim and just add more or put it back in the fridge!

Me and my family have been ordering here for years. We love the food. (I normally order the sope/​gordita carne asada combination plate). As someone said above… the place does not have much ambiance. We’ve probably only ate at the restaurant about 5x in the last 10 years. We usually opt for take-​out/​delivery…
The service when I go for pick-​up has always been great too! One of the best tacos places in the area

Gross tasteless food, I’ve given this place three chances and it is far from good food.

I dont usually eat there… not much for ambiance. But i do take out a lot and well, its just a consistent taste and level of quality. When i think of a taco and i want it to be familiar, i go there and it always tastes the same.

Taqueria Diversey makes a mean chiles rellenos burrito for $ 6 with tax.
Staff is friendly, there’s complimentary chips and salsa and the bathrooms are totally covered in graffiti.
They lose a star because the horchata has that fake cinnamon flavor you find at taquerias sometimes.

Ive been going to this place for years! and I never get tired of eating here. My favorite thing to get are the sopes, their just soooo delicious. If your not a fan of sopes, I suggest their tortas! Not to mention the red salsa is just really really good, by far my favorite one from mexican restaurants. The staff is very nice and the prices are very reasonable!
