We are a «Full Service» company from Electrical Upgrades to Lighting Design.

Change fuses to breaker panels, low voltage lighting, garden lighting, security lighting, can lights, ceiling fans, dimmers, troubleshooting, code violations, power upgrades. Residential/​Commercial, Multi unit, High rise.

We install gutter heat strips and any needed Gfci outlets.

We install all styles of low voltage lighting making it easy for anyone to «Go Green» including LED lighting, Fluorescent, Solar Patio lights, turning existing cans to LED lights.

History

Established in 1998.

I started this company with the idea that having great electrical skill is only part of the job, giving exellent customer service makes it complete.

I want my customers to connect with their lighting, I want them to feel good everytime they turn that light on and know that’s the look they want for that space, after all its said «Lighting Design is giving feeling to a space» and the more you like your space, the more time you’ll want to spend at your home and you will look forward to having family and friends over.

I had an old fuse box replaced and it was an all around great experience. Steve explained the whole process and completed the job quickly and took extra care to require as little patching as possible. He got it done in less time than anticipated and for slightly less than his estimate! Highly recommended.

I called The Connection Electrical and left a message. It took Steve a week to call me back. We set up an appointment so he could check out the electrical system of the house. I was going to go with whatever recommendation that Steve suggested. This job could have been worth thousands to this knuclehead. Steve was a no call, no show on the day of our appointment, and he does not return calls. I don’t know where the good reviews of this company came from… they probably wrote it themselves. This company has cost me time and money… Buyer Beware!!!

My first one star review.
Steve damaged my home, misrepresented his skill set, and installed things crookedly, and not up to code.
I had to hire another company to correct his work and repair the damage to my house.
Like the previous Unilocaler, I don’t know where his reviews came from. It was a horrendous experience and my home suffered for it.

I couldn’t be happier with the quick, professional and affordable job Steve did. He replaced some old track lighting with 6 recessed lights, changed out all of the cans in all the other recessed lights in my home with nice new ones, fixed all of my smoke detectors, fixed the switch to my garbage disposal, and fixed a lighting fixture, all in one day and at a good price. He even came out a week earlier (for free!) for a consultation regarding what kinds of lights and bulbs to use, and to prepare an estimate. I will definitely be calling Steve with all electrical needs in the future!!! Highly recommended.

Thank you, Unilocal,for leading us to Steve. He is wonderful to work with: smart when dealing with glitches in projects, efficient with time and personable. Genuinely interested in problems and solutions as well as giving us pointers in general about lighting and basics about wiring, etc. He set to work on some fan and lighting installations and helped us find solutions for some problems we had with wiring. I’m so happy I found someone I trust to do any work in the future. It’s a great thing.

Steve came out to my house a few days ago to fix a short list of problems we were having. He was very professional and courteous. Steve was here for about 2 ½ hours and was able to assemble and install a ceiling fan, remove a fan from a different room and put an already assembled one there, upgrade several outlets from two prong to three prong, change out a broken light switch for a third ceiling fan, look at my main electrical box to see if everything looked okay in there, and adjust our doorbell (including testing the output of the transformer) to work better. He was polite and conscientious of our home (including offering to take his shoes off in our home and switching into a dry «inside» pair). He also gave me advice on what kind of light bulbs to use in a chandelier to make it look even better. Also, he angled the lights of one of the ceiling fans so that it lit up a picture on the wall. It was a nice detailed touch that I didn’t think he had to do, but showed that he obviously cares about his customers having a nice looking end product.
I would definitely recommend having Steve be your new electrician! I will definitely call him again if I have any other electrical needs. Also, he gives a discount to new customers who have found him on Unilocal!It saved me about $ 15 dollars which I will take any day of the week!

Steve was great; gave me a quote in advance to install my two ceiling fans. He showed up on time and quickly installed the first fan despite som complications. It ended up that he didn’t need to install the second ceiling fan, because he was able to fix the existing fixture, so he only charged me for the one fan. And he guarantees his work for six months. Highly recommended.

Steve was exceedingly professional, and returned my call very promptly. He was able to come out and fix the shorting issue in our bathroom, and gave me some good advice about what to do regarding our microwave, before calling abt for repairs. He thoroughly explained what he did fix, and what the problem was. I would highly recommend him, and will definitely call him the next time I need an electrician.

I turned on the kitchen light Thursday morning and the switch sparked and blew out the lights and fan. Steve came out that afternoon, solved the problem and even installed a new light fixture in the basement that my husband has been promising to install for 3 months, all within the one hour that he charged for.
Very nice man, very professional, and VERY knowledgeable. Our house is over 100 years old so he is going to get an estimate to me for all of the issues we are having. So thrilled to have found an electrician who I can trust, who will show up, and whose fees are reasonable.

Found Steve on here and had him come out to do some projects around the house that our inspection brought to our attention.
He was very courteous, timely, and didn’t try to upsell anything. He gave me good options and explanations as he was going through the initial estimate.
There were a couple of items that he wasn’t able to repair as planned, which was fine, but I would’ve appreciated him at least giving me a new estimate as to what the additional costs would’ve been. I may still call him back for the additional work, just would’ve been convenient to have the estimate done when he was already at the house.
Overall, I’d highly recommend him. Great customer service, did a basic clean up after he was completed, and updated/​installed items nicely.

So glad I called Steve. I never heard back from the first electrician I called so called Steve and he was out here quickly and on time. Steve is the best. He responded promptly to my request to install a new outlet in my kitchen. Completed the job with minimum disruption or dirt. He even came back and lowered the outlet for me a few days later when I discovered it was not the right height for my table. He did that for free. What more do you want? Steve get’s the highest rating from me and I’d definitely use him again.

YES! We now have an electrician! I had an emergency electrician need (power to my home business was on the fritz) and I called five electricians some from Unilocal searches, some from google searches. Steve was THE ONLY one to answer the phone. Took two days to hear from three of the other four (still haven’t heard from the last guy). Steve showed up EXACTLY when he said he was going to, quickly hunted down the problem (problems) with my electric situation and worked quickly to fix it. We ran into some immovable issues so he gave me other temporary options that work well. His price was fair and his service was professional and friendly. We’ve made a wish-​list of electrician needs over the years that we have put off and put off (microwave popping circuit breaker, need more outlets in the basement, need two prong outlets changed to three prong, etc, etc, etc) and finally feel comfortable with an electrician to actually have the work done. I look forward to hiring Steve more in the future.

Very pleased! I called Steve to explain my situation and he was extremely friendly form the beginning. I always get nervous calling professionals because I never can really explain what I want done. Steve had no problem sitting on the phone with me as I tried to explain my situation. We talked for a good 15 minutes and I felt like he would have talked for another 15. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. While on the phone he gave me the «best case» cost and the «worst case» cost. Gotta love that…
So we talked on a Thursday and he came out on that Saturday. Funny thing is, I called two other companies that same Thursday and have yet to hear back from them (1 week later).
So needless to say, I would definitely recommend using Steve.

I am pretty happy with the job Steve did. I moved into this house in the fall, and there were a number of electrical irregularities. I also wanted to add an outlet and light outside, and change all the 2-​prong outlets to 3-​prong. So made a list and kept adding to it for a while, and then called The Connection and Steve came over and listened to my long list. He seemed to know his way through the permit process in order to have the least amount of worries possible. He is also a friendly guy and everything he did looks good and works well. We had some issues with the hair dryer in the bathroom, and he fixed it, and did everything possible to make sure it didn’t happen again, and it hasn’t. I think I got a fair price, though I am glad I used the coupon from Angie’s List. If I have anything else pop up, I’ll be sure to call him again.
