Birthday party time for an active group of 2&4 year olds. My Daughter-in-law chose a unique location for our grandson’s birthday party in Chicago. I’ve been to this recreation club in the past for various children’s activities. I have to say, this was an incredibly well organized party, and the kids all appeared to be having a great time. We brought in a light brunch, and set up the food in the upper level of the gymnasium. The children played games, organized by one of the individuals employed by the club. He was incredible with both age groups, and kept the children well occupied for almost the entire two hours. With a quick break in between for a bite to eat, and the singing of Happy Birthday, the morning party was a complete success.

My kids have been participating in after school activities through the Menomonee Club for about 8 years. They’ve done everything from soccer, flag football, chess, jazz and tap dance, hip hop dance, and basketball. This is a great organization. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they bring in a wide variety of outside companies to run some of the programs(Lil Kickers for soccer, Thodos for dance, 3 Point Athletics for basketball, etc.) This is a safe haven for kids in the city with a wide variety of quality, extracurricular activities. They have an extra parking lot too for when it gets busy– a real bonus in the city.

Awesome spot for volleyball during the cold winter months. Chicago sport and social sponsors the leagues here, and they do a great job. It’s always a good time, offering two courts, clean locker rooms, and easy access from CTA/bus with fairly decent(free) parking options as well. Sully’s is next door too — what better way to spend a weekday evening then a beer and an hour of vball fun? In my opinion, there isn’t much that can top that.
