History

Established in 2012.

What began many years ago as a series of monthly karaōke dance parties has evolved into the best karaōke/dance experience available in Chicago. Demand for this experience created weekly shows at five very unique bars/restaurants. The oldest is at Caminos de Michoacan Bar, then Simone’s Bar, and Lalo’s on Maxwell st. every venue highlights a different possibility but the energy and commitment to quality music, dancing and signing is the same throughout. Special Monthly shows occur at the Slippery Slope (last Monday of Month in Logan Square) and Simone’s (backroom) (3rd Wednesday of month in Pilsen as a part of Pilsen Stand Up Comedy show).

TPS Karaōke is available for private events of all sorts ranging from weddings to company parties. No party is too big or small.

Meet the Business Owner

Pablo S.

Business Owner

Pablo Serrano is a cultural worker based in his life-long Pilsen community. When he is not at the helm of The People’s Stage engineering sound or mixing a cumbia track into reggae or hip-hop he works as public artist painting murals with different partners in the community, or with local organizations offering art classes to youth. He operates under the philosophy that we all have something to share and learn from our culture and music and art are successful fields to develop community.
